The location of the hotel, next to the Cathedral is excellent, within walking distance of the historic sights and many tapas bars and restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite on the 5th floor. The room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and huge. There was a coffee machine. The room was very well soundproofed. There is a rooftop seating area with a bar open at the weekend, and a small swimming pool. The view from the roof is across the cathedral square. Reception staff were helpful. If you have a car a member of staff can accompany you to the nearby underground car park. There is a charge for parking and it needs to be booked with the hotel in advance.

There was no kettle in the room. The only items in the fridge were two small bottles of water, charged at a pricy 3 Euros each. Breakfast was charged at 12 Euros per person and could be improved. For example, "cold" milk was actually warm. The yoghourts were also not cold and not available at all one morning. Minor details like these could be easily rectified.

The location is very good. Fabulous views over the plaza. We stayed in a junior suite. It has traditional style furniture..it isn't plush but it has character, which we like. The bed was very comfortable. Aircon was really good, very quiet. Room size was good. It has lovely staff and it feels personal. The bar on the roof terrace is a lovely place to finish the evenings with views up to the fortress and the cathedral. It's location is close to the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to most things. The staff were lovely and spoke to you every time you passed the reception.

Very petty, minor things like only 4 hangers in the wardrobe, 2 coffee pods, I just thought as it's an expensive hotel these few things should be better. As I say, minor.

Roof top pool; cheap and excellent breakfast (although we only had the tostadas and croissants, we didn't buy the full buffet); the morning coffee in the bar was only €1.50 and it was delicious; attentive staff; beds very comfy; shower in room fantastic.

Nothing really, apart from one mistake when being made a mixto sandwich, but this was corrected promptly and efficiently.

Great location next to Almeria Cathedral on Central Historical Centre. Stayed in a Junior Suite that was very spacious and had a very nice shower. Beautiful hotel! The rooftop bar/restaurant was very popular and at night it was very nice to site up there and have a drink while looking at the illuminated cathedral.

The desk only had one wall plug which was used for the in-room coffee maker. Next, no fault of the hotels, but decide if you want to hear bells all day long before booking this property because the Cathedral next door will strike bells every 15 minutes from 8 am until midnight.

We loved this hotel - right by the Cathedral with amazing views from the rooftop pool and terrace. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Dinner in the rooftop restaurant was very nice and generous helpings. Food and drink was well priced. We could walk to everything from this location. Safe area at night. Very boutique feel. Bonus was watching a beautiful wedding at the Cathedral while sitting in the pool cooling off!

The check in/out team at reception were not very friendly or warm. We felt a bit like we were an inconvenience.

Wonderful hotel in the historical center of Almeria, GREAT bedroom, super nice and dedicated staff, excellent base to explore Almeria coupled with a very nice roof top with a nice (albeit small) pool - what more one would want?

Bizarrely - as the hotel has its own restaurant - the breakfast was the only negative point. Most elements of the buffet felt "cello wrapped", the quality / variety of juices and food available not at all what I'd expected for such a nice hotel! Staff was delightful - helpful and diligent. But the whole experience was a big let down compared to everything else!

Our room was quite basic, but we were upgraded on our last night to a much nicer room that was a junior suite. We had to pay a higher rate though, but it was worth it as the view from the windows/balconies was fantastic overlooking Catedral Square and the room was more spacious and comfortable.

Great location for access to everything. Short walk to main street with shops and bars and the harbour. Parking is easy as accompanied to the underground parking 2 mins walk across the square. Left our suitcase in secure luggage store and with agreement, went back for our car at 2 pm. A coffee machine with two pods for morning coffee. Didn't have breakfast as couldn't eat before eye op.

Wasn't an issue for us but the bells from the cathedral may disturb some people.

The staff tended to handball off questions relating to any form of tourism. The bar was only open at certain times. Through zero fault of the hotel; I would not suggest staying here if you like quiet time or sleeping in. The cathedral bells chime every 15 mins between the hours of 0800- midnight.

Cathedral Almeria Hotel is a very special hotel in a very special building in a very special part of Almeria. The whole experience is as if the hotel is alive and we, the hotel's guests, were part of the hotel community. Lovely staff. Lovely food. Lovely facilities. Lovely location - quiet - accessible - historical and beautiful. Thank you all very much.
