Everything about this hotel, we liked. The reception staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was really comfy and soundproofed so even though we looked out onto the main street, when the windows to the balcony were closed, we couldn't hear a thing! I asked to be on a lower floor and they gave us a first floor room. Perfect! Breakfast was lovely too though we paid for that when we got there and it was good value. Great central location and only 15 minute walk from bus/train stations This is one of those places that you hesitate to praise too much because everyone will want to go there and it might go up in price but I must say, it's the best place we've stayed in, in Almería by a mile and we've stayed in a lot.

Costasol is a beautiful beautiful hotel. We stayed 2 nights in a deluxe room, the size was big and you had everything you needed. TV, fridge, coffee making , the shower room is clean, and there was a balcony. Air con is very silent.

Central location, close to most main attractions (within walking distance). Also close to the main beaches, only 20 minutes walk. The cleanliness of the hotel and our suite was first class. The welcome and helpfulness of the staff and management during our stay was highly professional. The breakfast (and its setting) was excellent; fresh fruit, cereals, great coffee, toasties, pastries, cheeses, toppings, etc., and catered for veggies (like us) and gluten free guests. The lady serving breakfast was extremely helpful, we were due to miss our last breakfast and she made up picnic bags for us. Overall the hotel manages to portray a big hotel group image with a family feel, that’s not an easy task. I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone not overly concerned about budget, as it’s good value for money. We loved Almeira, mainly because we like being among Spanish people holidaying and the laid back locals.

Hotel was located within 10 minutes of bus and train station. All other attractions were in walking distance. Breakfast was continental but excellent choice and very clean. Hotel staff were extremely helpful, going on line to find information for us. We would certainly recommend this hotel. Plenty of bars and tapas available close by.

Not the hotel's fault but there was no Tourist information office so we only had a map of Almeria, supplied by the hotel, but venturing further afield was difficult. Also the main museum in Almeria was closed for refurbishment and no-one seemed to be aware.

We enjoyed the communal facilities, the seating area in the foyer for example. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating and spoke good English, although it isn't really aimed at foreign tourists - more for business people or Spanish to visit the city. It would have been nice to be told about the roof terrace when we checked in - we discovered it on our last day. The hotel is in a good location to explore the city. It was also spotlessly clean.

The room was smaller than we were expecting. We booked a family room with three single beds. Maybe these rooms could be improved by having more furniture for luggage and clothes, rather than a desk. The shower had no shelving for toiletries.

The hotels location is excellent and close to the Cable de Anglais it is also a short walk to the old town and the fortified Cathedral. The hotel room was comfortable with all the standard facilities you would expect. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. There are vending machines in the foyer for snacks and drinks we liked the coffee and thought this was also priced well. It also has a roof solarium which is excellent for a lazy afternoon.

Loved our stay at this hotel, the rooms are not luxurious but they are clean and comfortable.

Fine room size with comfortable single beds. Appreciated the water that was in the otherwise empty room fridge. Access to hotel convenient for arrival by car - we used the car parking just around the corner. Not sure what the car park discount was by paying at the hotel - it was still €14 for 1 x overnight. The hotel has a small dining area for breakfast - but we did not use this. (Honestly cannot say if it is open for dinner/lunch - there is ample choice out and about in the town anyway).

Overall - a convenient location for overnight and nothing stands out as "unliked" during our stay.

Fantastic hotel with traditional lobby and 24-hour reception desk, right on the tree-lined Paseo de Almeria, five minutes walk from the centre of the old city. The rooms are super-clean, the beds super-comfortable, and the buffet-style continental breakfast in the salon downstairs was generous. The staff were very helpful, and provided a kettle at our request.

It was all good. We'd particularly requested a room with a bath, which turned out not to be available, but we got an upgrade to a better room with a balcony looking out over the street instead. For one night this was great, although if we were staying longer it might have been a bit more of a problem!

The staff were very patient with me, a non Spanish speaking English woman, but we did get to understand each other as my understanding of Spanish improved. The staff were always ready to help and offer advice and the cleaning staff were always exceptional.

They don't have a laundry service, but there are several launderettes within a 10 minute walk. They don't have a dining room, except for breakfast, but there are literally hundreds of places to eat within a 15 minute walk of the hotel. So both of those things were not really a problem.
