The Eucalyptus Hotel is located approximately two and a half miles from the airport and two and a half miles from Fira, the capital of Santorini. To use the public transportation, for most bus routes you have to first travel to Fira and take a bus from the Central Bus Station (except for a couple of routes that take in the southern part of the island and the airport bus). The bus stops in Mesaria are very close to the hotel. There are several restaurants close to the hotel and a supermarket which stays open until midnight is right across the street. The rooms in the hotel are spacious and the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. I did not participate in breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The manager was very helpful with information on tours and booking what I wanted to do. Santorini is daily inundated with cruise ship visitors who totally overpower the island, especially during the high season--middle May until around the end of September. Mesaria is far enough from Fira and is not the home of any of the "must sees" on Santorini that the day crowds do not typically come to this village. I highly recommend this property and if/when I return to Santorini, I will definitely stay here again.

I did not have any issues with this property. There was a problem with a weak and/or nonexistent internet connection on one day but that was area-wide. Otherwise, the internet worked well.

I just stayed one night because I landed in Santorini but was not my final destination. The staff was amazing, my flight was delayed 4h and they kept in touch with me to provide me a driver and make sure I can check in without any difficulties, even at 3 am. After this long and tiring flight, I arrived, found the driver at the airport, a personalised message on the door of the hotel and a very comfortable and clean room welcoming me for a good sleep. I would have loved to stay more but the rest of the trip was planed. Thank you a lot again and see you soon for sure

The hotel is in the middle of the town, you have restaurants around it, a supermarket and souvenir shops within walking distance. The room very clean and comfortable. The room had a balcony with a view of the town. They cleaned it every day. The hotel staff very attentive and friendly. The person who welcomed us explained everything about the island step by step. She was learning Spanish and she explained everything to us in our language. A super nice girl.

The hotel does not have a private parking lot. Next to the hotel there are 2 public parking lots (free).

I stayed 2 weeks in a deluxe room which was modern and well-equipped with everything needed. It also had a nice balcony. Giulia at the reception was kind and helpful. The Mesaria area had everything I needed within just a few meters' distance: a bus station, multiple supermarkets, multiple ATMs, and an excellent vegetarian restaurant. I would come back here.

Nice hotel with the very friendly and helpful Julia in the reception. Located near the road crossing to Fira-Airport-Kamari, so a practical hub, for a room at lower cost than in Fira or Kamari, and still very near to everything. Offering trasfer to/from the Port, or take the bus to Fira and then bus to the port. Cafe to buy breakfast as neighbour. Many shops nearby. Nice rooms, but limited view.

I stayed at Hotel Eucalyptus and had a wonderful experience, largely thanks to Giulia. She was incredibly helpful—she arranged my airport transfer, recommended great places to visit, and even guided me to local spots offering authentic traditional Greek food. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made my stay special.

Very comfortable large room, stylish, spotlessly clean, in excellent condition and with great facilities. Staff are fantastic - so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed one night at the start of our island-hopping holiday and then one night at the end when we were greeted virtually as regulars. Very good value, highly recommend.

There was nothing we didn’t like. If you want to be in the centre of all the action (and pay considerably more for the same quality hotel), stay in Fira. If you want to avoid the crowds and crush of Fira stay at Hotel Eucalyptus in Mesaria. You can easily get to Fira, the ferry port and the airport by (very cheap) local bus (or taxi). Restaurant choices are limited but we enjoyed a very good- and very good value - dinner at Sergena (2 mins from the hotel), where the staff were equally delightful.

Nice and friendly people, they helped us with advice to get around the island and with checking out earlier (we had an early flight). Always smiling 😊 In the bathroom we found toiletries and in the room some water, electric kettle, tea and instant coffee with sugar and milk. The property is close to the bus station (right next to it is the bus who takes you to Fira/Kamari/Perissa). We chose this property to be able to walk to the airport (2.5km) - there was no bus at the time we left. It is also convenient because it is close to the center (Fira), in one direction and the beach (Kamari) in the other direction. You have a coffee shop right across the stress who offers you specialty coffee and two supermarkets. Free tip if you're reading this: red beach is the best! Thank you for recommending us to go there. We liked it so much we went twice.

Few mosquitoes in the room - totally not the property's fault, but important for future guests to bring some insect repellent spray (I think this is valid no matter where you choose to stay).

I was welcomed by Julia, a very kind hostess, always with a big smile and willing to help you, and give you very good tips and information to make the most of your stay. Good location next to bus stops, 2 supermarkets and a bakery which is super practical. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Super clean and quiet inside. Nice decoration. Looks like it has been recently renovated.

Everithing was good.

We liked everything. Julia was such a wonderful host, kind, warm and caring. She went over and beyond to help us. The hotel was modern and it still felt homely. The doors and windows were very soundproof. The hotel is on a busy road and we didn't hear anything during the night. Location is brilliant, right beside 2 bus stops, a supermarket and some very good restaurants. The restaurants in this area are also much cheaper than in Thera. Lovely garden area in the front. Beds were comfortable and there is AC in the rooms. Bathrooms were very nice too. Julia was also very kind and upgraded our room for free. If we return to Santorini, it will definitely be here :)
