Phenomenal quality for the price. By far the best hotel in Ipoh. In fact, it's much better than many 5-star hotels, including the top hotels in the capital KL. - Great location. Easy access by car or taxi. Directly inside a lounge/bar area with live music at night, 2-minute walk to Aeon Kinta Mall, and a 5-minute walk to the huge Uptown Night Market. - All the facilities in the hotel are even nicer than in the online pics: the room, the reception, the gym, the indoor lounge area, the outdoor lounge area... all are lovely. - Fast and easy check-in. - Very comfortable room. Great mattress, pillows, sheets/blankets. - So many little details in the room which are amazing touches: iron and ironing board, hair drier, room safe, jewelry box, storage area, writing supplies, desk with writing lamp, a body-weight scale, and a lot more. - A lovely indoor lounge area for hotel guests with 24-hour tea/coffee, little treats, comfortable chairs, sofas. - An outdoor lounge area for hotel guests with lovely wooden tables. - Private balcony with table and chairs. - High quality a/c and ceiling fan. - Good quality breakfast in an adjacent restaurant. Eggs, fruits, Malay nasi lemak, soups, meats, breads, salads, vegetables. - Complementary high-tea upon arrival (if you arrive between 2pm-6pm). Shockingly lovely and fancy. - Complementary transportation in stylish SUV to and from airport, or train station, or bus station. - A cute stuffed dragon as a welcome gift! - Great gym in a stylish high-ceiling area. Free weights, barbells, squat rack, useful weight machines, cardio equipment. - Amazing, personal service from the staff. Huge thank you especially to Sir Melvin, who helped us in so many different ways. His service was professional and at the same time, personal and friendly. An amazing hotelier and an incredible asset to the hotel!

We loved everything so much at the 1969 Hotel that we have no complaints at all :-).

I expected a wider breakfast selection, as the choices were quite limited. Despite this, my sisters and I left the breakfast satisfied and full. While it was okay, I believe there is room for improvement, not that I disliked it, but I think it can be enhanced.

I have no complaints, but I'd like to suggest an idea for consideration. Adding a mirror in the main room, not just in the bathroom, would be convenient for tasks like makeup or getting ready. It's a small suggestion that might enhance the overall experience for guests during their stay.

Comfy and clean rooms. The location is convenient, with several eateries in the same block and a big mall within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The complimentary tea and cake were very tasty.

The rooms are a tad dark. We were traveling with elderly people and for them more light would have been extra appreciated.

Everything was excellent right from the free carparking, checking-in and out! Room was simply clean and stylishly designed. We were welcomed with pleasant and friendly service staffs, delicious 'semi-buffet hi-tea' and 'tasty wholesome morning breakfast'! I highly recommend everyone to experience this hotel's hospitality to believe. Lastly, thanks to all the front service staffs for their pleasant professional service. Keep up the great job!

Haha, none that I can think of!

Surprisingly, we got high tea and complimentary coffee, I thought breakfast was the only thing included! It was such a nice surprise, and we absolutely loved it. My partner is really enjoying our time here too.

When someone rings the bell, even if it's for a nearby room and not ours, the sound is so clear that it feels like they're ringing our door. We end up opening it, only to realize it was actually meant for the room next door. Hopefully this can be improve.

Rooms very dark, so we sat in the lounge area to unwind. Our first room was next to the road, so very noisy, which annoyed husband. The next room was away from traffic, but the hotel music was playing all night. Plus we had connecting doors, so could hear our neighbours talking & larking about, which annoyed me.

This is my third stay at 1969 and second stay at 1969 Ipoh Garden. The front desk service by Melvin and Ikmal are great! Melvin is very prompt to assist when i need to on the fan in the gym. He is fast and friendly. Ikmal help arranged hotel limousine to pick me at KTM station. Very prompt pick up and send me off to KTM station on the second day. I really enjoy the complimentary high tea too. The lava cake is great and then ambience make we want to say for a long time.

Quirky hotel, with comfortable bed, modern bathroom, very friendly staff. Breakfast was ok but the same every day and after 6 days........ Easy to get into city by Grab, less than 10MYR each way Only gripes were that there was nowhere comfortable to sit as reception really cold and we had to have air-conditioning on all night as room was very hot

The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly and there were interesting offers/complementary gifts as my stay was closed to the upcoming CNY. The room aisle is only accessible by using room card which is good for safety of customers. There are also ample parking lot in the multi level building next to it.

The noise isolation is pretty bad for the room as I can clearly listen to content of conversation between customer passing by my room and there were staircases in front of the room (may be challenging for elderly customers with bad knee). Also the building layout is quite confusing to look for walkway to CawanMu or multi-level parking building.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were incredibly friendly and always greeted me with warm smiles, which added a personal touch to my experience. Everything about my stay was comfortable and welcoming—I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a spotless, roomy place to stay.
