We stayed as a family with three children and booked two rooms with large, comfortable beds. The rooms were clean, well-equipped, and had a great shower. The hotel has a wonderful swimming pool which the kids really enjoyed. Breakfast was rich, varied, and very tasty. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate that before our stay, all my questions and requests were answered quickly and thoroughly - thank you to the team for the professional and attentive service. The hotel lobby is nicely furnished with comfortable sofas, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel, in the rooms and public areas is excellent. There’s also a gym (we didn’t try it). The location is very good, close to the beach promenade and parking area. Great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting Varkala.

This was a last minute booking as our original hotel let us down badly. But Sajjoys turned out to be the best thing about Varkala. From the minute we arrived, Bahaja made us completely welcome, and took care of everything during our stay. The room was large, bright, and exceptionally clean. Pool is well maintained, and large enough to swim in. Breakfast is good with a range of options. Location is fantastic with the easy option of going down to the south beach or along the north cliff. Friendly, helpful staff who easily arranged transport for us. Thank you again to Bahaja for making this such a relaxing time.

There’s truly nothing not to love about Sajjoys. The hospitality is some of the best I’ve ever experienced—warm, professional, attentive, and heartfelt. The location is absolutely perfect—just a 2-minute walk from the cliff, tucked away on a beautiful, peaceful street. The manager goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need. The beds are insanely comfortable, the entire hotel is spotless, and the atmosphere feels both luxurious and homey. It’s incredibly safe, with reliable security in place. I’ve never felt so well taken care of. WiFi and AC work perfectly, the showers are amazing, rooms are spacious, and the pool is clean and refreshing. On top of that, the food is delicious—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all exceptional. Sajjoys is a gem—I’ll absolutely be back.

We had a fabulous time here, location was very handy for Varkala Beach but just off the main drag to avoid the noise and hubbub. Staff were extremely friends, pool was great, it was an oasis for Varkala, 10 minutes’ walk to the beach or north cliff for all the restaurants etc. If you went the other direction, it was a nice circular walk past the Temple (well worth a visit). And back onto the main beach. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the chef did the best omelettes and eggs we had anywhere in Kerala. We’re in our 50’s, like independent travel and would recommend here as a great place to stay in Varkala.

Had a great stay, the round rungs on the pool ladder here 'unusual' but I just used the other steps instead!

Sajjoys was the perfect place to stay in Varkala. Great location close to the cliff and beach, and also within 10 mins walk to all restaurants/shops. Pool was clean and plenty of seating available. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of fresh fruit and eggs to order every day, as well as South Indian/continental options. We also had Ayurvedic massages arranged by the lovely Dr. Prakash, which was relaxing and very affordable. We had a great nights sleep and the private balconies in the room were a great bonus. Would definitely return!

The fitness centre/gym could do with some investment including A/C but it was still useable.

Customer service is superb. All staff are amazing, nice, and incredibly helpful. I traveled with an elder and they were really special with her, attending beyond normal all her needs. They were also incredibly nice with my 5 year old. Not a new hotel, but very well maintained. Very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was great.

The only minus was the shower in one of the rooms, which had low pressure and the temperature was hard to control. They were still always prompt to resolve any issues. We had two rooms; the other room had no problems.

It was an awesome and joyful experience for 02 days at Sajjoys, Varkala. This is the first trip with our 2 year old daughter and she was mostly pleased with this part of our itinerary. We found that whatever has been mentioned in the reviews, Sajjoys team try to do even better than that. The property is beautifully maintained and located at a walking distance to the Varkala cliff (max 200 m). The Sajjoys staff is very well led by their general manager Mr. Praveen. It is not a very big team and everyone seems to be participating in all the service activities required for making their guests' stay memorable, with a pleasant smile. Our daughter was very happy and was entertained by all the staff of Sajjoys. Even though footfall of Indian tourists have increased a lot in recent years, Varkala tourism has still significant share of foreigners. And, it is even more true for guests at Sajjoys. However, the most important part of the service here is that they don't differentiate between Indian and foreign guests. The last and most important point, considering the fact that we were travelling with our little daughter and our vegetarianism, is food at Sajjoys. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and included so much variety for different types of guests. Their A-la-carte food, though, seems to be limited and requires timely ordering, is also very good.  We found it much better than the other cafes we tried during our stay at Varkala. Overall, this deserves to be called a Five Star experience and is highly recommended.

Our stay at Sajjoys was the highlight of our holiday. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make it memorable. My daughter had a cold and cough and everyone from the manager to the chef were so so kind and helpful. The chef even made a special hot drink for her. Honestly, I cannot stop recommending this hotel to all my friends and family. Cannot think of staying anywhere else whenever I visit Varkala for sure. The location,the facilities,the service provided and the beautiful natured smiling staff makes this THE NUMBER ONE place to stay for sure.

Absolutely NOTHING!

All was above expectations. A perfect location, comfortable rooms, and incredibly friendly staff who seem to enjoy working there. Shout out to Deepu, the great chef Sunil and Dr Dera for organising a most excellent Ayeurvedic massage on site and the security guard for getting a tuk-tuk organised and keeping rancìd dogs at bay!Also, given our late departure a room was made available by Mr Praveen post- check out at no extra cost. Although it may seem a little pricey, it is excellent value. A perfect way to round off our stay in Kerala.

Silly question. It was all very good.

The hotel is situated very near the North Cliff, the room was very big with 2 balconies,it was very clean. The breakfast menu was limited but I think it was because there were not many guests the same applied for dinner as we had booked for half board. The swimming pool was clean and well kept with sunbeds. The hotel has a gym and a Spa where you can book a ayurvedic massage. A beautiful hotel in kerala style.

Unfortunately communication in English was difficult. I booked for half board but wasn't told while I was checking in that their full menu wasn't available. My room was not cleaned during my stay.
