great staff - very helpful and pleasant and very accomodating. We thought the lunch was superb - with a lovely terrace overlooking the pool. Rooms were very comfortable - nice big beds and great showers. Plenty of parking We enjoyed the pool It was a 15 minute drive to Perigaux which is a lovely town

we stayed during a particulary hot spell - it would have been a bonus to have airconditioning in the bedrooms The pool often had a lot of dead flys/wasps so the cleaning / circulation system could have been better We had dinner one evening - it wasnt particulary good for the price - lunch was a much better experience Great that there was a tennis court but it had joints which didnt help the bounce

The chateaux was in a beautiful location, and the building was amazing. There was plenty of parking. We had a very professional and friendly greeting at reception, where check in was quick and easy. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The evening meal was to a very high standard, served in a lovely restaurant. Breakfast was superb with a very good selection of fresh food and very well presented. All the staff were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel. My only regret is that I was not staying longer.

We have stayed before but not in the annex but disappointed with the booking.com description of the supérieur room as a garden view as w knew the property and did not expect to pay for a superior room with a view of the house next door . Also on booking it states all taxes and charges included in the price we paid but do not state that France and other européen countries you have tax sejour . We are aware of this tax as we live abroad but the booking website is very misleading stating all taxes and charges included in the price .

That a supérieur room did not have coffee making facilities.

We arrived unplanned at this wonderful location after a previous booking at another establishment was totally unsuitable. Such a delight to see such a super place with very welcoming staff. We spoke both in French and English so it is great for guests who don't speak the language, to know that it is a bilingual hotel. The restaurant was fabulous, being sophisticated with very friendly staff offering a superb service. The food was exquisite for appreciative diners. Had a newly refurbished bedroom, with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom/power shower

The light in the hall didn't turn on automatically when leaving the lift, I think the PIR sensor didnt work. The hall lights are operated by pressing the switch outside the bedroom door, but from the lift/stairs, I had to use my phone torch. Just a small complaint

Excellent dinner. Breakfast might have had a cooked element, such as bacon.

Generally all excellent and a lovely place to stay. Just a shame about all the building work in the Orangerie. The room was nice and warm but the rest of the building was not.

The room was lovely, nicely decorated and in keeping with surroundings, breakfast was varied and tasty, hubby loved the scrambled eggs.

Was a little surprised as no bath robes in the room so not sure how you would go on if you wanted to swim, do you change by the pool or are they provided at reception, it wasn't clear, pool towels were provided at reception on request.

The chateau is small, beautiful and well maintained. The annex with bedrooms is of a high standard. The evening dinner was, sincerely, a really special meal at a reasonable price. The staff were pleasant and professional. I would definitely stay again.

there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room which is always a nice thing to have and this was missing for me, but the rest of the stay was faultless.

The room was nice, nothing special though, rather basic facilities (f.e. no body lotion or hair conditioner provided). The breakfast was good, no huge variety but fresh fruits of good quality, nice and friendly staff. The food and the ambiance of the restaurant was really good.

The room was noisy and uncomfortable because of repair works outside from our window starting every morning at 08h30.

It’s a marvelous house in the countryside, half an hour from Lyon. It’s a piece of French history we were able to see! We were traveling for the first time with our baby Scottish Terrier: couldn’t have been better for the 3 of us!

Staff were super , we had some special needs and they dealt with those very professionally. The spa is lovely and high quality treatments.

Then Orangerie is really just a side building. The rooms are nice but the entrance is a bit of a let down. The restaurant service was excellent but the food not as good as the menu promised.
