Quiet , friendly and discreet .

It is very expensive for a Hotel which doesn’t have the wow factor . It’s more of a living room experience downstairs , cosy but not wow .The rooms are comfortable but the bed itself is just ok , other 5 star Hotels in the city have better . The spa.. which we had high expectations of has no jacuzzi , the steam room wasn’t working in the men’s that day and the gym is fully equipped but smaller than it looks in pictures . We have stayed in high end hotels all over the city and although the staff are lovely , it’s a notch below some of the others for the cost .

We had an extremely warm welcome on arrival, and help with our luggage on departure, for which we were grateful. The hotel pool is amazing. The restaurant, Locanda Verde, is exceptional. We enjoyed having breakfast in the leafy courtyard.

I thought the "Grandmother's Ravioli" on the restaurant menu was not very special.

Ambience, very friendly staff, food, service, speed of service. Bed comfort. location. Great shower. Great amenities in the room.

Besides the bed, the other furniture is kind of tired, not comfortable. Hard for two to do room service- guess I need a bigger room. Sink was made for someone about 4’10”, not 6’2”.

Phenomenal hotel. Perhaps my new all time favorite in NYC. Rooms are exceptionally large for a NYC hotel, staff was stellar and incredibly kind, fabulous check in process, food was great, lounge was marvelous. It's a slice of Europe tucked away in the middle of Manhattan. The courtyard is epic. It's almost like the hotel is soundproof -- I didn't hear a peep of street noise. The halls and walkways are almost spiritual. Had I only had time for the spa -- anything Japanese inspired is sure to be incredible!

I wish I had been asked for an option on what amenities I would have preferred in my room (I had no courtyard view and no bathtub even though the room I booked did offer that). That said, I should've also asked for it upon checking in (I did request it on Booking.com, however).

The understated elegance. Lighting. Decor. No charge for the snacks. Toiletries. Towels. Drinks.

Pillows (too flat) , tv (remote didn’t work), clock radio (couldn’t get blue tooth to work, alarm kept going on), toilet (didn’t flush completely). Sitting chair (small uncomfortable)

Now our favourite nyc hotel. One can tell that De Niro put part of himself into this exceptional hotel. Each room is different, the lounges feel like you are at home and the food and warm service were excellent

Restaurant books up quickly and reservations should be made well in advance

This is my favorite hotel in New York. I like everything. This is my fourth time staying here and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere, the location, the service, the food - everything is great.

Everything was stellar, especially the hotel staff!

I gravitate more to other parts of town So I was a little challenged when shopping etc

The hotel is still an amazing cocoon to stay.

it's currently having a new way of development and if the warm hospitality could come back it could be great, because I was use to say that we feel home at The Greenwich but not anymore and if this charm disappears it's a shame.
