I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They were incredibly helpful in recommending and even booking a fantastic local restaurant for dinner. Additionally, they were more than happy to store my heavy luggage, which made my day much easier. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—situated right next to the famous Belmonte Castle, offering direct, breathtaking views of this historic landmark from the rooms. The facilities were also very clean. Breakfast was on the simpler side, but everything was fresh and made with local produce. Another big plus: the hotel offers underground parking free of charge, which was extremely convenient. One of the highlights for me was how well soundproofed the hotel is. As a light sleeper, I greatly appreciated the peaceful, quiet environment. It was easy to relax and enjoy uninterrupted rest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area—perfect location, great service, and genuine comfort.

Mid January so very quiet. Central space is charmingly rustic. Room with spa bath was large and comfortable. The lady on duty was trying to be helpful but as she spoke no English and we spoke little Spanish, communication was a challenge! Breakfast was good. Castillo de Belmonte is the main reason to be in town and it is very interesting. The Trebuchet Park is worth the extra few Euros.

Being off season the restaurant was closed. The nearest alternatives are a 10 minute walk. These (Las Murallas and La Cochera) were good and served interesting local specialities.

Excellent location in the centre of an interesting historic town. The hotel is itself a fascinating old building. The covered secure parking comes at no extra cost. Our dog was allowed in the restaurant area (for breakfast). The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Really good value for money.

The shower was a bit claustrophobic. The restaurant was closed in the evening (at the time of our stay), but there are several others within easy walking distance.

It’s a fabulous old building, full of character and very comfortable. It’s in a perfect location, if only not easy to find first time. It has free garaged parking and is dog friendly. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast food and area are also lovely. Great value for money. We stay here on our way from Santander to Torrevieja and will stay again on return. I can’t praise this hotel highly enough.

Fabulous grand old place, beautiful features, comfortable room, lovely breakfast, dog friendly, secure under cover free parking and a really helpful and friendly guy at front of house, Juan, he even phoned a nearby restaurant to reserve us a table as the hotel’s one wasn’t open. Great value for money. The setting in the town was amazing, something ancient around every corner plus a real castle!! Will stay again.

The best hotel in the historic center next to the church, great service, great price, very clean rooms, internet strength depends on the distance of the room from the WiFi, elevator, very good own restaurant, the best on site. very nice historic building. own garage.

Beautiful building with many original features. Fantastic location, backing right onto the Collegiate of San Bartolomé, a 15th-century church. If you walk 2 mins round to the back of the church, you get a great view of the castle. Rooms are simple, yet stylish and comfortable. During unusually cold weather, the room was warm, and beds really comfortable. Underground car park accessed via room key fob. Friendly and helpful staff. Owner speaks very good English, which was helpful when my pocito Spanish failed. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced with varied menu, from beautifully presented local produce to a cheeseburger that my 10 year-old declared a 10/10. Just wish we could have stayed longer. This was a pit-stop for us during a long drive, but it's a little gem of a town, steeped in history.

My only negative was that there is no kettle in the room, although I understand that this is common in Spain. My family doesn't like me before I've had a coffee in the morning! The manager was very accommodating and offered to provide hot water for my cafetiere, but we had to leave before the restaurant opened in the morning.

Really interesting very old building, said to be a Palace once. Friendly staff including at least one with good English. Excellent secure parking under the building at street level. Very welcoming warm restaurant with good food, service and good value. We used this as a one-night stopover en route but probably the old town is worth exploring. Large room with sofa seating.

Typical Spanish old world charm hotel, clean and comfortable spacious rooms, we especially liked the free underground parking which was ideal due to the narrow cobbled streets and security for our Motorbike. A special mention for Antonio at reception who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and keen to practise his English.

Nicely decorated, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Very pretty building.

Bed was not terribly comfortable, bathroom had no extractor fan and unsightly damage on the ceiling as a consequence. Shower curtain was not as nice as it could have been.
