The hotel is in the very center of the Old City, so everything most visitors would want to visit is within a short walking distance. The hotel is located on a side street and therefore it is quiet at night. But as a result of being in the heart of an ancient city, trust your GPS to get you there as the driving streets are complicated. Gema served a great breakfast and gave me excellent suggestions for both a traditional La Mancha Menu del Dia and during the evening, where to go for Tapas, a mere 5 minutes away.

Just a note for other travellers - On arrival at the property I couldn’t access and later realised the property had sent a message in Spanish saying I needed to advise the check in time. Thankfully, I had a phone number to contact the owner and around 10 Minutes later someone arrived to let me in- maybe this could have been clearer and I was notified further in advance.

Rather expensive for 156 euros/ night. We stayed at the 4* Instel Hotel, the night before and that was only 90 euros/ night. The bedroom was rather small, but the beds were very comfortable Staff were wonderful. They couldn’t do more to make our stay as pleasant as possible

A lovely hotel, everything you need is there. Breakfast was amazing I was a little apprehensive about the self check in and arrival but it was so well organised. A really impressive little place, highly recommended.

Beautifully done up and very comfortable. It has a lovely courtyard with a plunge pool. The lady who was running it was very welcoming and nice.

I didn’t like the check in, took way too long.

We really enjoyed our short stay at casa del Médico in Alcazar San Juan. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The patio with pool was a wonderful space. Breakfast was beautiful and the staff were very helpful . Alcazar is a lovely small town. I would highly recommend both this hotel and the town.

Excellent! We were welcomed with great friendliness and professionalism. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and elegantly decorated. We had no problems with parking. We definitely recommend it!
