This is a fantastic "home away from home" in the vibrant city of Dakar. It is well situated (near the University) and along the Corniche, but very quiet. The breakfasts were great (Merci à Marie et Maimouna) and the restaurant was good. There was jazz music on Saturday night, but did not disturb guests at the hotel. This is my favorite place to stay in Dakar. Merci pour tout!

The WiFi was good (took several Zoom calls) but this could be a little stronger. Otherwise, it was great.

The staff are very welcoming. This was my second stay, with my first being about 2 months earlier. They remembered my face and greeted me personally, which made for a much warmer stay. The restaurant is also excellent for lunch or dinner in addition to breakfast. It's a bit pricey, but not unreasonable for the quality of the meal. I appreciate that they have a non-smoking area!

The size and comfort of bathrooms can vary a lot from room to room—in the second room I stayed in, the long, narrow bathroom was rather difficult and awkward to move around in. The wifi was also weak, though this wasn't too bothersome.

This is an amazing oasis in Dakar and despite the ongoing renovation everything was great. Breakfast was wonderful, and Marie and Maimouna were so nice and helpful. Dinners are great and staff overall were terrific.

We stayed for almost 3 weeks, and it would have been great if the dinner menu had varied a bit, but I understand the chef is cooking in season. The food was great, but would have also liked more vegetarian options. Again, this is not a complaint, but a suggestion. Overall wonderful.

I am a vegetarian - and I thought the vegetarian options were very limited. I had toast and oats and some fruits for breakfast. For dinner, the chef was cooperative and made me roasted vegetables with rice. But I ended up eating the same thing for 4 days. I wish they had pizza, pasta, and other vegetarian friendly options - especially since I had made a note in my reservation.

Kettle and iron in the room would be really helpful.

The hotel seems somewhat "upmarket" with distinctive architecture and furnishings and a nice roof top terrace for breakfast. Great views over the water from there. I wasn't there during the day, but it seemed that there might be facilities for business meetings. The amenities in the room were quite nice: a fridge, wall AC, and a desk. A separate shower room from the basin and toilet. Breakfast was good.

There was a communication issue with the hotel prior to my arrival. However, we were able to arrange an airport transfer after midnight. The location on the Corniche is somewhat distant from Dakar's principal tourist sights, but nothing is very far if you take taxis.

Loved the plants, decor on the upper deck and the artsy vibe. The breakfast buffet had a very diverse selection of fresh and dried fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and meat. Lots of options even if you’re gluten free. Also loved the kind service, the chef who made dinner was really skilled and the room was spacious. It was also nice to watch something on Netflix after a week away from home.

The Wi-Fi was spotty. Lots of mosquitos and no net, so bring your DEET. No musical performances during my stay.

Amazing place, exceeded my expectations. Super stlyish, well decorated, quiet and green oasis - I liked the african style and architecture. Great breakfast - he best I had in 2 weeks in Senegal. Jazz lounge downstairs is so cool! and it was full with visitors. Cool rooftop with breakfasts. Good location in the middle of everything - you can't walk, but it's easy to get around by car.

Rooms are small

It was a gorgeous space! The architecture and design was the highlight. They have a lift available but the stairs were just as convenient. The rooftop kitchen made delicious food. And their wait staff was amazing and attentive.

Sound travels horribly in the hotel. You can hear everything happening outside your room as if your door was open. My only other issue was the WiFi. It was spotty and dropped often. However, when I complained, they were kind enough to upgrade my stay to a room with a stronger connection. The phone in my upgraded room did not work. The dial tone button was stuck. So anything I needed like housekeeping, I would have to go down to reception for.

This hotel was the sanctuary after a few days in St. Louis!!! I absolutely adored the design, the colour of the hotel (red!) and the subtle design elements! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face

On my last day the receptionist ordered me a taxi to the Gare that brought me to the Gambian border. She said the taxi is 7000 which I found rather expensive seeing i paid the other day 3000! Gift shop you can only pay in cash, and breakfast includes eggs and omelettes but you had to ask! Bar staff only speak French

Property was in a good location near Corniche walk which is nice for beachside walks. Can get to nice areas like Almadies and Dakar Plateau very easily. The property was clean and had a nice African vibe which was great!

For me, most things were good. I didn’t find the receptionists very friendly though.
