There was a clear indication of attention to maintenance and staff training. I am a regular visitor, so this was noticeable. I particularly valued hotel management intervention in dealing with a personal crisis (family with dementia went missing). Breakfast buffet was large and varied. Rooms clean and well maintained. Particularly liked the thoughtful placement of complimentary water in the apartment fridge. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Well located on the Nahoon river with easy access to both river and the visible sea.

Late night disruption (slamming doors, shouting, singing etc.) by drunken guests one floor down. Hotel front desk was contacted twice and the noise eventually died down (and resumed early the next morning). To be fair, guest behaviour is not entirely within hotel control, but a more vigorous action would have been impressive.

Great location and view, comfortable and spacious. The two bedroom was perfect for a family of four. Breakfast buffet had good variety and was good value for money. Loved having air conditioning.

Getting a sufficient number of towels that matched the number of guests was a challenge we struggled with for the duration of our stay. We had to ask for towels every day and on the majority of days, we didn’t get them. The only other negative was the close proximity to a pub/party spot which meant loud music and enthusiastic patrons into the wee hours. Fortunately, the air conditioner helped drown out the noise.

Very nice hotel, the layout is very inviting and its has secure parking. A lovely large pool area where can enjoy the dun and swim, bar and deck area that has a beautiful view over lagoon. Rooms really comfortable with private patio. The bar tender makes excellent cocktails. Breakfast buffet is great, especially the man who makes the omelets and eggs. Very friendly guy.

Be careful what you order off the menu in the restaurant, i ordered the marry me chicken and it was so dry I needed a glass of water to wash it down, and their cheese sauce you could use to plaster your walls of your home.

The location is amazing, close to amenities by the beach. The staff were friendly, especially the waitresses serving breakfast in the morning, especially 2 of them - Georgina and Sine ( the dark skinned with figure eight). They were both kind and friendly with amazing customer service.

We had a problem with our toilet just at the end of our stay, and when we called for repairs, this was not resolved, and no one communicated with us regarding this. Apart from this, it was a nice experience.

That the guy with the leaf blowing machine outside my room before 6am. Not serious but flippen noisy for that early, you have eager staff. Would have been nice if the hotel made a wooden pier into the river and a wooden walkway towards the beach, it would be very scenic and i for one would have stayed longer, people like been close to water, a good location with a lot of potential, this can be done without effecting the environment and the tides would not deter visitors from enjoying this beautiful location

I must be honest, The beach is my happy place, i am an eastern cape guy myself, !! hence I like to book at the Blue Lagoon, when i travel to E.L. purely to get a chance to get a walk on the beach in the evening after work. I would like to say, i would really love to book a river & sea view room, but the pricing is just too much and one can't justify this for one night, the room prices should be brought into line with the Garden Rooms pricing, or reduce the river view pricing a bit. One can't pay in excess of R2500 for a night stay for a double room? if the prices on the river view rooms were reduced i would certainly book one. thank you look forward to hearing from you.

The Garden room was comfortable and clean, The bar restaurant has a lovely setting. I look forward to being able to book into a river - sea view room on my next trip.

Breakfast was a disaster. At 9 am when we arrived there was total chaos , tables hadn’t been cleaned we waited for a table. The hostess said they had been busy and would restock the buffet . Coffee was good the restock was very slow.No salmon very empty fruit salad very bare pastry selection. We scratched some fruit & yoghurt then went for hot breakfast only to be told there were no eggs available. They were going to try get some but it could take some time. This is when we decided to leave the dinning room and go elsewhere. Will definitely rethink staying at the hotel again. We have stayed 3 times before but wow this was not acceptable

The location was very nice, the place was very nice comfortable cozy clean the set up was very pretty..

I ddnt like the fact that the cleaning lady came to the room to take the sheets while we were still there they should wait till we gone for them to enter the room and clean...we were given a time to check out so any time before that is still ours in that room and we deserve privacy for that full amount of time ...if 10 am is the check out time than the cleaning staff should only enter at 10 or after 10 not a minute earlier.

The hotel was set in the perfect place. Set back in the suburb to not have the hassle of the business of the town and close enough to get to the hub of a giving when needed. The access to Nahoon Beach allowed early morning walks on the beach and the lagoon. The staff both at reception and the breakfast rooms were friendly and helpful. All round great experiences.

The room were in need of a bit of repairs and they was construction taking place at the time when we were there.

We booked the 2 bedroom apartment with the sea view and it was nothing short of amazing! The rooms were good sized for my family and the walls are sound proof which is great because a number of reviews complained about noise and we had not experienced any. The apartment comes with a fully furnished kitchen which helped store food in the fridge and we were able to make popcorn on their stove tops. The restaurant has good food and the place has a 24/7 room service!!! The cocktails from the bar were amazing and quite reasonable.

The first few days we had no towels as their laundry had was not working. And some plugs in the bedroom were not working. But honestly I cant complain about anything else.
