Everything. The staff was lovely. The view is phenomenal. The cuisine is really good, and if you have food restrictions the chef adapts around. The game drive were great, the rangers really know their stuff, and the area. It is all respectful of the nature and of the animals. You have blankets for every drive. Thé chalet was cosy. When we arrived it was my wife’s birthday, and they had prepared the room with flowers and a bottle of sparkling wine. And for dîner we had an other bottle, and the chef baked a whole birthday cake for her. So sweet. We saw a lot of animals, lions and their cubs, elephants and babies, rhinos, giraffes, wild cat, impalas, and so many others. The rangers are really knowledgeable, they can answer all your questions. I really recommend.

Our stay at the safari lodge was simply fantastic – even better than we had hoped for. We were a group of six and were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to the Cheetah Villa. The villa was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable – we didn’t miss a thing. A real highlight was the heated pool. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared – every dish was a treat. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team on site: our safari guide Henry, who led us through the wilderness with great knowledge and passion, housekeeper Precious, who took such warm care of us, and chef Godfrey, who spoiled us with fantastic meals. Even though we didn’t get to see all of the Big Five, the safaris were a true highlight – full of exciting encounters, stunning nature, and unforgettable moments.

This place clicked boxes I didn't even know existed. The accommodations were over the top. All riverfront. We only spent 3 nights, but there was animal activity every night. Elephants and hippos in and along the river, monkeys on our deck - between the game drives and the accommodations it was a very immersive experience. The food was elegant and plentiful. The staff was eager to make sure every need was met. They even picked up medicine in town when my wife developed some stomach issues. The location is perfect, and they have finding animals on game drives down to a science. The guides were capable, professional, and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Front office staff were genuinely amazing.

There is a long dirt road from the main paved road. I understand not many people self drive to the resort, but for those of us who do, a few encouraging directional signs would be helpful.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Nyati and the staff!! 5 star all the way!!! There was nothing that was too much trouble and they were always willing to help!! Accommodations were luxurious, hot water for days, cold AC and beautiful view from tent and grounds were well maintained. Food was beyond amazing and presented beautifully. Had massages at the spa and they were some of the best we have ever had!

The only thing that was disappointing was the safari drives. No fault of the staff, guide or vehicles!! The landscape of the area was nothing like we have experienced in Kruger NP, animals were very few and far between (again, that’s nature and no fault of the staff) but that was the only downside for us. Everything else was 100% amazing and we would recommend Nyati to anyone looking for a lodge that will go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful!

The setting is absolutely stunning, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The safaris are truly exceptional! For a family visit, I believe a three-day stay is ideal as it allows for ample relaxation. On the positive side, the breakfast is flawless, and the sunset during the safari is an unforgettable experience. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

However, as a vegetarian and considering the high standard of the establishment, there is significant room for improvement in catering to vegetarian guests. The menu could benefit from more balanced and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian options.

Our time at @nyatisafarilodge was truly special, it will forever have a special place in my heart 🫶. From the breath taking views, the wildlife that explored the grounds - right outside the room to the bush. It was like a slideshow on what animal next was crossing our bungalow (monkeys, giraffe, elephant, springbok) We got so lucky with the beautiful game drives that our amazing guide - Henry took us on from 5am sunrise to sunset. We seen the big 5 and more ! We even got to star gaze the beauty of kruger. The locations he took us too & what we learnt about surviving in the wild. We took half a day out to visit @moholoholo_wildlife_rehab with Kenneth which is a rehabilitation center for injured & abandoned wildlife. The @nyatisafari team took incredible care of us, they genuinely went above and beyond and made us feel like family. The food & our stunning river bungalow was more than we could off wished for. And the people we got to meet will be friends for life. Huge thanks to Henry, Kenneth, Rome, Ashanti, the amazing chef, innocent and his “not so innocent” cocktails and all the staff. We simply not wait to return again. Nyati truly left us with memories for life.

The location by the river and the game drives. The open roof and open side game drive vehicles were perfect for viewing the wildlife. The food was outstanding - a varied selection of quality food, prepared perfectly. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Easy transport to and from the airport. The accommodation and communal spaces were spotlessly clean and well staffed. Very polite and friendly staff - maintenance, security, admin. A very well managed venue.

The additional game drives and day excursions could have been better explained on our first arrival. The organisation for the large contingent of Danish guests appeared better structured than for guests such as ourselves, arriving for a few days in the middle of the week.

The game drives were fantastic, the staff were brilliant and the accommodation beautiful. My family of 4, two adults and two daughters 10/12 stayed for an amazing 5 nights. What an experience, we saw 4 of the big 5 (leopards were hiding) and much more, in particular, my favourites, the African Wild Dogs. Big thanks to guide Daniel who inherited us for the week. The kids were captivated from start to finish by your enthusiasm and story telling! A real credit to the team! All the staff were very welcoming and really made this a magical trip. We will be back!

Nothing. A couple of options at meal times would enhance the experience but overall the food was great.

A wonderful location with very friendly staff, providing everything you need and more. We loved the warm welcome, the great view over Olifant river from the restaurant and our Rhino Tent. We felt pampered by the good care that was taken of us and loved the game drives.

A bit more information about the time required to get to the location from the main road (R40 - 30-45 minutes) would have been nice, however, we got in time for our first game drive, so had no problems although it took us quite some more time than expected. (It was our first time in SA - for a next visit we would calculate the time, but I suppose there are more visitors that come for a first time and do not exactly know what to expect).

Nyati Lodge is a stunning oasis of tranquility set in 10,000 hectares of game filled reserve. We stayed in a beautiful riverside bungalow, spacious and well equipped. It was a short walk to the main buildings with the restaurant and pool. Staff were attentive and friendly across the board. There are two game drives a day, and we were lucky enough to see all Big Five animals during our two day stay, a testament to the guides’ expertise. When not on drive there was a gym, driving range and pétanque pitch for those who fancied an activity, and hammocks, comfortable chairs and a pool for those who would rather relax. The food was of a high quality both in taste and presentation. We had an absolutely fantastic few days and would highly recommend to anyone looking to go on safari in the Kruger!

The only real complaint we have is that despite having told Nyati of my fiancée’s food intolerances, we were consistently served food she could not eat. Only on one occasion was she given an alternative dessert. It was okay as she could eat the majority of the dishes anyway, but hope Nyati are more attentive to this in the future.
