Our stay at this property could not have been any better. The accommodations were fantastic. The beds very comfortable, the food was delicious. The location was incredible - but most of all - the staff made our stay exceptional! Our host Cynthia the first day was a delight. She was very welcoming and kind. The next day, we were greeted by Bonny who was equally delightful. Bonny helped us arrange some day-trips at some locations nearby such as a river tour and a tour of a wildlife rehabilitation facility. She was so helpful. Bonny and Cynthia were the best. In addition to these ladies, all of the staff there was so kind and considerate of our needs. All of my travel companions were very happy. If I could give 100 stars I would.

There was nothing we did not like.

The staff were amazing; warm, friendly, helpful and flexible. The only reaosn I don't want to mention names, is that I am sure I would have had the same level and quality of service from all those I met. I loved the exceedingly peaceful location with space between sets of rooms, the immediate view of the river of my room (6) which I think most have. The bed was deliciouly comfortable, and I appreciated the mesh in the windows. The aircon was quiet. The outside dinning area I found enchanting, close to the river with abundant foligae all around. Both inside and outside dinning areas were set up very artistically and attractively. The home baked bread and scones (?) were outstanding.

With the priviso that the staff were flexible and creative with my dietry needs, and were kind enough to make sure I had eg. unsweetened almond milk, and olive oil instead of butter, It would be fabulous if the lodge could develop some great catering for vegetarians. I also have high cholesterol which I manage through diet..not an unusual condition... so chhese is not an option for me. My error for not suggesting things before I arrived, nevertheless, I think my suggestion would be helpful and welcome to an increasing number of visitors.

My stay was extremely comfortable and Cynthia and her team couldn't have been more helpful. It's a beautiful tranquil spot along the river and the chalets are beautifully decorated and private. The staff even cleaned my dusty car and windows each morning, a lovely extra touch, also excellent wi-Fi which was a lovely bonus!

The breakfast and the location are excellent. The luxurious amenities, exemplary services, and prime location are what grabbed my attention to the Lodge. I loved everything! I highly recommend Blyde River Wilderness Lodge for its cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service.

The place was clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The scenery is exceptional and the fact that they wash your car before departure. I am definitely coming back, the pictures don't do justice to the place

Evertything was excellent and we really enjoyed every moment. Food was so tasty and served with so much garnish to look beautiful.

Is it possible to warm up the plates with breakfast and dinner in winter time? Food so tasty but cold before it reaches the table.

The staff was amazing. They really went above our expectations to accommodate my mother who is meat and gluten-free !! While it is a bit isolated from the town, the lodge is in a really nice environment. On the premises, you can spot giraffes, zebras, etc. Our room was beautiful and you can choose to relax by one of the two swimming pools ! Great choice. I would highly recommend !

We loved the fact that it was so relaxed, in th3 nature and well set up.

That the pin on Google showed the entrance to the place was next to the road. There were no real welcome message in the room or some sort of orientation. The outside light did not work and there were no dish cloths or scrubs to was the dishes. There were no details an where the shops are located. It would also be useful if there is insect repellent in the room.

Staff as really friendly The facility was clean and beautifully set up. The river view is just spectacular. You really get to just lose your self in nature.

It's in nature so spiders are a little hard to avoid, because they are constantly building webs. . You may walk into a web or two. It's really unavoidable.
