From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we knew we had NOTHING to worry about. Advise greeted us and took care of all our cases and worries. We had a lovely welcome drink on arrival and she personally sat us down and went through our plans and sorted everything out and all our loose ends that we had. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we experienced EVERYTHING that we wanted. She even booked us a private transfer for a tour we booked ourselves that didn’t include a transfer when booking. Everything was truly taken care of and we felt so at ease from the moment we arrived. She noted down our early mornings to ensure we had a lovely breakfast pack prepared when we would be leaving before breakfast. I could not fault the staff at the lodge or Advise even if I tried. I couldn’t possibly write a review and leave out the incredible breathtaking views that the lodge provides. The drakensburg mountains were stunning from the reception area/infinity pool and we saw SO many animals at the watering hole during our time relaxing including Giraffe, Warthogs, Wildebeast, baboons, antelope and more! It was just breath taking and the food was all also delicious. They even provided for my mum who is a vegan and made sure she had plenty even at the Boma when most things were BBQ’d on the fire.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived and we will definitely be back in 2027! We are already planning our trip and will be choosing Khaya Ndlovu again.

This is a very special place on Earth. It’s located in Hoedspruit, short distance from the airport. We had the full board and game drives included in our stay and it was a great choice. Right by the pool, you have the views of the water where animals appear. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. A big thank you for our upgrade! They have the Boma evenings on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a Braai. Staff tries in every way to accommodate your requests, they are very kind (Advice, Karabo, Floyd, Jabo, Cici). The game drives were truly incredible! We had Terrance and Vusi as guides and they did everything possible to get us near the Big 5 safely! All their knowledge added a lot to our experience. Plus, you can tell they both care about the animals! Thank you again! My family and I absolutely loved the stay. If I could point something we did not enjoy just as a constructive comment was that the person at the reception table was a bit awkward once we arrived at 3:27 pm for our safari drive (the drive was at 3:30). Delays happen and there’s no point in making a fuss about it, especially when we were not actually late. But this does not change our opinions. I spend the most special birthday there and cannot wait to come back.

Words can't describe how much i loved staying here! Not only is the surrounding landscape breathtaking, the game drives (thanks to Ilse&Renneck/ Terrance&Harry) incredible, and the manor itself beautifully furnished. The staff itself has been so kind, helpful and funny. They were always up for a chat, made me feel very relaxed and being in good hands. When i was the only guest one day, they put my dinner table right at the infinity pool, with the best view of Drakensberg. The chef made the most delicious meals! They made sure to call me, when the rare African wilddogs came to the water hole. Spa was incredible as well! They, also, kindly organized a day trip to close by Kruger Nationalpark for me. I will always cherish these memories. It was a dream come true. Thank you again for this memorable holiday!!

The staff is amazing. Comfortable and clean rooms. Games inside the property reserve with good guides - particularly Terrence and Harry were INCREDIBLE guides, not only tracking and giving info about the big animals, but because they showed and taught us as much as they could about the bush.

Food was OK. A suggestion to hotel management is to explore more of the local flavors and dishes - there are so many different flavors that can be explored… but that was the only improvement I would suggest - apart from that, AMAZING hotel.

The service was excellent. The staff is friendly, and it even feels like family. They also constantly ensure our needs are met. The game drive was the best ever. I had a few in my lifetime, but our ranger Sammy just went the extra mile. The food was excellent and service even better. Our room was neat and prepared for us for the evening with down lighting. I can recommend this lodge and will definitely visit them again.

the location is great, its closer to town and main road and train track but yet still tranquil, the staff was very friendly and always check on you. loved everything, the breakfast options , the boma dinner, the game drive , the massage... every activity was handled professionally. I loved that they always put water by the bedside table just in case you get thirsty in the middle of the night

lunch and breakfast menus mostly accomodate people who eat pork, otherwise everything else was lovely

Everything! Let’s just start with the view…enough said! Facilities were just so comfortable and a next level of luxury and enjoyment! We didn’t want to leave the pool area, sitting there with a drink in hand overlooking a busy water hole with the beautiful mountains in the background is just incredible. And all credit to the staff who were just so incredible and so accommodating and friendly, we were treated like friends and made to feel at home than just guests. Just wonderful people to talk to and interact with. Well done everyone! You guys were all amazing!

Nothing, 10 out of 10!

The place is absolutely stunning. It has the necessary ambience and views. You can spot animals from just chilling on their deck or breakfast. Very attentive employees. Truth, Tinashhe and Terrence provide the best services and made the stay more enjoyable. They literally made Khaya feel like home. I would be doing a disservice if i don't mention the Game drive with Mpho. It was the best game drive ever, very Informative and engaging. Overall stay was beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves

My only complaint was the cold showers we were subjected to in our rooms. Water was only warm first few seconds and completely cold thereafter. Reported this and only got warm water 1 day of reporting and thereafter back to cold

What a Wonderful experience, we loved every minute. Beautiful lodge with an amazing view. Customer service was 10/10, amazing staff they couldn’t do enough for us from the beginning to the end. Food was superb and the best bit was of course the safari, we seen so many animals and so close which in some places you don’t get this experience.

What is there not to love if you are after a perfect African bush experience? Ideal location overlooking an active waterhole from a superb elevated dining and viewing deck. If you are after exquisite sunsets as you sip your sundowners you won’t be disappointed!
