. Our guide and tracker were amazing! Games were top. . Food was delicious. It blew our mind!

. Our family suite room was very outdated although spacious. Some items broken… They are building new rooms in the resorts and they are planning to redo the old ones …. . Restaurant staff is very friendly although slow - SA style - and a bit lost…

Kapama was absolutely incredible! Jeffrey and Mat were amazing guides, making our experience truly unforgettable. Their expertise, friendliness, and attention to detail made every moment special. The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. We can’t thank them enough for creating such a memorable adventure. Highly recommended!

The only minor areas for improvement were the breakfast buffet, which could benefit from better labeling of items with descriptions and symbols for those with intolerances. Additionally, the lunch and dinner menus had limited side dish options, which were quite similar and restricted to just two choices. Lastly, the shower pressure in our room was very weak.

We had an amazing experience during our 3-day stay at Kapama River Lodge. Our guide/ranger and tracker, Happiness and Fanie were really amazing and experienced in the game drives - we were able to see the Big Five twice across the 6 game drives included in our stay. The hotel is very comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy the day between the drives. We had a good experience with the food in all meals - some better than others, but good overall. Come prepared for the windy and cold game drives, especially during winter. Once the sun goes down in the afternoon drive or before it really heats up in the morning, it’s tough, but they try to help with blankets and hot water bags. Anyhow, have your strongest coats and jackets ready. The guides were experienced and kept us calm even when a pack of lions was literally around us and our cars - a breathtaking experience. Every staff member was very attentive and always ready to help. Within the reserve, you can see some of the wildlife but the real fun happens during the drives. Make sure you notice to your guide what you want to see and they will try their best to support it. We had one drink and didn’t like it, but the wine menu has great options - we only drank what was included, none of the exclusive list options.

Service at lunch could be a bit slow compared to other meals but not a huge problem. The spa prices are too expensive - I ended up not using it.

Everything about the stay was incredible. Every staff member I met was happy & so polite. The room (deluxe) was beautiful & spacious. The whole feel of the resort was incredible, it really is beautiful. Proximity to the airport excellent - across the road & straight into the reserve! Even saw a giraffe before we checked in! The safari experiences we had were phenomenal and we honestly had the best time of our lives. I know that this is all due to our amazing guide & tracker, Thabo and Martial. The 2 of them really made the whole trip for us. They are so knowledgeable, passionate and generally just really lovely guys. We really feel like we have made friends and will remember them fondly Would highly recommend the resort to anyone and I am actively encouraging all my friends and family to go (will also tell them to request Thabo and Martial, they really are the best)

My only slight criticism would be in the inclusivity of the food, specifically the evening dinner menu. The menu is certainly angled towards fine dining, however 3 out of 6 on the safari truck I was on all ordered from the children’s menu on 1 night. It is not nice to have to ask for a children’s menu, as this can be embarrassing, however many people have issues with food & I felt there was not many ‘safe’ options for those of us who struggle. To maybe offer an alternative more ‘standard’ meal or 2 at dinner would be helpful, or maybe if the children’s menu was just called an alternative menu & automatically placed on the table along with the dinner menu.

The experience was top class from start to finish. The facilities and food were excellent - the staff were professional and great at looking after us all. But by far what made our experience so special was our driver Mary and Tracker Michael. They were the dream team who took such care and attention to show us the wonderful wildlife, share information, answer our endless questions and ensure we got to see all the big five, most of the ugly five and lots more! They are amazing at what they do and it’s thanks to them we went home so content - Kampama is a very special safari experience. I can’t recommend it highly enough

We would have loved to stay longer! The food is cooked to order at every meal and very tasty. The food is plentiful and served at regular intervals - we were very full all the time!!

Great hotel! Everything good, bedroom,safaris,cleaning, swimming pool, bar, architecture... TK and Tsepo are great great guides and we saw the big 5!!! It was an incredible experience. All staff great, Erasmus from the restaurant always making you felling good. Amy from reception was great and always welcoming. I just have to thanks everyone and all the structure - We had a great time.

The only thing I had as a problem was I had intestinal problems, and I don't know if it was related to the food or not (symptoms matched but I asked staff and nobody else had problems, so, maybe not related to food). Staff were also very attentive to this matter and offered all necessary support. The food is not very hot when served, but understandable.

Everything was 100/10. The service was impeccable and the room was comfortable and spotless. Our guide Edwin and tracker Baclas were very informative and helpful in understanding the animals. We saw the big 5 multiple times. I liked how the lunch and dinner menu changed everyday. The food and drink was Devine. Each day there was a freshly baked cake for the afternoon safari. The spa and pools were also amazing. We had the best trip of our lives.

Mosquitos in the room but the hotel provided bug spray. It was hard to get the aircon right and it felt like sometimes it changed in the night.

wonderful staff, gourmet meals, nice fitness center, excellent yoga instructor, really comfy public spaces, fascinating safari trips where we saw so many animals!

The location next to the airport, so transfers were excellent. Whole hotel has been designed perfectly, very stylish and clean hotel in middle of bush.

Whole experience was great, only room for improvement for the price point was on quality of meat on dinner dishes. But food was still really nice. Breakfast and lunch perfect. On the last night the guides joined us for dinner, but we had to request the assistant guide to join too, this should be standard.
