The place looks superb! The swimming pool is big enough and its a good spot to also chill at. The restaurant offers a good selection of the menu. The entire place just had a relaxing, nature, welcoming mood which I loved!

The Wi-Fi was really slow. We couldn’t stream anything on YouTube or Netflix without it buffering every 30 seconds.

Security is good, boom control by very polite staff, reception is friendly ... but the rooms on the 'new' block are outstanding. Great quality linen on king-size beds in a well-appointed room. A sensible-sized fridge, gas-powered hot water system, and large shower make for super-comfortable. These rooms rate 5☆ plus, and compare with any hotels we've stayed in. The dining area lacks finesse, and is a bit 'boarding school', but our dinner was good, served by very polite and efficient staff; as was breakfast. Brekky was a little slow in coming, and a buffet would have saved the hotel, as the portions were over-generous! The gardens are well kept and pool sparkling. Clearly the staff like their jobs, and management is to be commended in their leadership. Overall, having frequented this spot many times in its last ownership and enjoyed it a lot, Avocado Vale, a decade or so on, has an awful lot to commend itself by. Well done to you all.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Avocavale Country Hotel and it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel's cleanliness was impeccable, making for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Breakfast in particular was a highlight fresh, flavourful and the perfect way to start the day. One of the standout features of Avocavale Country Hotel is the breathtaking views.. The sharing of pool with day visitors, they must make pool for day visitors and those who have booked the hotel(guests), coz there’s no privacy. They must also build a changing room for the day visitors, where they can change their swim wear coz they use the toilet nearby the restaurant and imagine eating lunch or breakfast and some people passing by the table half naked and wet going to change😫 it’s not healthy. They pass by the restaurant to the ablution room to change which is inconvenient and not healthy for people dining there

I was thoroughly impressed by the serene atmosphere that pervades the entire property. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm wash over me, and it was the perfect antidote to a busy schedule. The accommodation itself was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, but it was the peaceful surroundings that truly made my stay special.

The pool area is opened for public during the day and later closed which made it difficult for us to actual use it. A pool for the accommodation should be established.

The hotel's setting in a mountainous valley is outstanding, offering delightfully cool ambient temperatures. The beds are incredibly comfortable and inviting, with the linen being refreshed daily, which is a lovely touch. Additionally, the food portions are not only generous but also delicious, making every meal a satisfying experience.

To improve the experience for everyone, it would be greatly appreciated if there could be clearer communication about the requirement for a gate pass by security each time one exits the property. It can be quite frustrating when this is unexpected. Enhancing the communication and providing more detailed explanations regarding the security procedures would be very helpful.

The food was amazing, the chef is doing a great job. Value for money too The breeze when you're around the place The location is just perfect for a couple who wants to spend some time away from noise, perfect for the family too.

The entrance becomes unsafe wen it's festive season, the security is slow and cars are waiting outside with no space but stuck on the road while cars and trucks are passing. Maybe the lady from the reception can also be a little kinder.

The property was exceptional from the spacious room with a balcony to the restaurant food we ordered, and the staff onsite was so friendly and helpful. The area is so near to 1961 Hendrik Verwoerd tunnels. It's a great place for pictures 📸. The property garden is beautiful, with a few garden umbrellas and a clean pool with a perfect temperature. From our room, we could see the garden, pool, and majestic mountains on the other side of N1, where sometimes we could see clouds passing through right on the mountain. I would definitely recommend the place if you're looking for quiet, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. If I am passing through Venda, I will definitely stay there again.

Its was beautiful… my kids loved the massive lawns. The newer rooms we stayed also looked very nice

The only issue I had was with the shower in room 503.. That shower head is finished and needs to changed. The water sprays everywhere and since there’s no door the bathroom floor gets wet.. worried about my small kids slipping .. we ended up throwing a few towels on the floor in the shower

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! I liked everything but what really stood out for me was one of the cleaners that cleaned my room. You have a gem in Manisha! She is really more worth than just a cleaner. I can actually see her as someone in charge! She made my stay extra special!

I did not like the manager's abrupt manner( the white guy that was on duty) When I called for him he was shouting to one of the waiters that he is busy and she must help me so loud down the corridor. I confronted him about it and he simply said sorry I was busy with spread sheets. Thought it was rude and callous. You can give more options on your menu as well please but other than that loved it and will be back
