The views are incredible. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It is not over crowded. There is space for all the guests. The fireplace is perfect for the cold farm town nights. It is close to the town and surrounded by lovely winefarms.

We were in cedeberg which sleeps 9 but we can't al fit around the dinner table. It would be nice to have big table but again the space is not practical. In summer outside is perfect for that. The shower also ran out of hot water but again this was just because we were 9 adults. But it won't deter us from coming back.

Beautiful location, it’s so peaceful and all the cottages face the dam so there’s no bad view on this farm. Bed was super comfortable and they provided us with a lot more than we were expecting like sugar, a box of tissues, a little box of milk and two bags of firewood for free. We really appreciated these little touches of comfort. The farm is close to the town of Tulbagh and there’s plenty to do in the area. We were really excited to see the many fields of bright yellow canola! It was really nice how we couldn’t hear the other people from our cottage but weren’t too far away to feel isolated. Ilze and Riaan are super friendly; checking in and out was a breeze. It was a great Winter/spring getaway. Would definitely come again, maybe in the summer to swim in the dam!

We loved our stay at Reflections!! Our cottage was lovely and airy with a large and comfy bed. The kitchen is very well equipped and there's a braai which, unfortunately, we didn't have time to use. We loved our view over the lake and spent a lot of time on our patio, drinking in the scenery and the sounds of nature. The bathroom is clean and the shower is good. Our hosts were lovely - and very available to help whenever we needed it. The property is fairly close to town and lots of wineries and other areas of interest. We highly recommend this wonderful, peaceful place

Nothing - it was wonderful!!

This place was perfect for a family with kids with a small pool in front of the house and a little playground area with swings. The rowing boats were fun, and the group enjoyed the fly fishing. We all stopped and stared at the view often. Picturesque mountains, beautiful body of water. The place was very comfortable, and we cooked, we braaied and it was easy; bedding was comfy and there were fans or an aircon in every room. Showers were hot and there was storage space in every room to unpack clothes. Great storage places in the kitchen with good prep area and a large fridge/freezer. Lots of places to be together (living room, kitchen, seperate dining room) though our fav was the large area facing the dam and the mountains - there was a large Sofa and a table with many chairs and we spent most of our time together there, reading, watching the kids run around, enjoying the view. It was really really lovely and the place exceeded our expectations.

There were a few things, broken, rowing boat oars slightly broken, two air-conditioning units (either not working or leaking), shower traps need to be cleaned, only one room had a bigger bed (We had a double which was tight), and the oven dials had faded, so it wasn't easy to use (the stove worked great). To us, these were small things compared to the joy the place brought us. Bring fly swats or zappers in the summer!

A lovely setting, close to a private dam located in a valley above Tulbagh. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy all the facilities, but there is a very large, grassed area and BBQ spot next to the lake. The complex is just a ten minute drive from the centre of Tulbagh. Our hostess was friendly and very heloful.

We had a small cottage which was a bit crowded for two people. On the other hand, since we only stayed two nights, we did not use all the clothes storing space. The bathroom was usable, but a bit too small for comfort. There are larger cottages available on the farm which are probably perfect for families

The Kasteelberg unit was lovely with amazing views over the dam and Saronsberg mountain. Waking up and having a coffee on the patio out front was the most relaxing experience I've had in a long time.

Some of the chemicals used to clean the place were quite harsh, while I appreciate that it was clean, we did suffer a bit with breathing after sleeping in the rooms. We're not sure if it was a dirty aircon filter or the chemicals used to clean it, but I'm mostly mentioning this as a point of potential improvement, it was not a deal breaker at all and we will be returning.

It was a beautiful place and the countryside surrounding the location beautiful also. A very peaceful setting for couples and families alike. I left with a very positive view of Tulbagh as a whole 👌🏼

Communication is difficult with the owner. Don't expect to talk to or meet anyone upon arrival. You have to bank transfer instead of just pay via booking.com like most other places. Also, you should probably be going to Tulbagh to "switch-off" but internet is abysmal so don't expect to stream unless you're going to use your phone data. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay 🙂

The Views were Stunning. The House was fully equipped and comfortable. The Boma was a nice spot to braai and chill. The Boats and the floating deck at the lake was something really nice to have , however life jackets and a life guard would have made us feel more secure at the lake. The splash pool was really refreshing, a bigger pool would have been nicer. Overall we had a relaxed and wonderful stay.

Lots of mosquitos and small spiders were in the house when we arived which is quite normal due to the lake , however thorough fumigation of the house before guests arrive and keeping all windows and doors closed thereafter and during the stay will make a major difference. Life Jacket

The house offers a stunning view and the rooms are spacious, providing plenty of comfort. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for a convenient stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, making the experience even better.

Three windows in the house couldn't be locked. The bedding needs improvement, as one pillowcase had holes, and a bed base cover would help the bed look tidier and less worn.

The setting is sublime. The proprietor was welcoming and extremely helpful The beds and beddings and towels were top notch

The house is in need of a serious upgrade with simple things like decent bedside lamps that actually have on/off switches. The bedrooms had not been dusted for ages,cobwebs aplenty. Light switches and plugs grubby and so old. A good thorough clean and some upgrades and the house will be a 10.
