The setting is very picturesque and has lovely views of the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed having a walk around meeting the friendly horses and sheep (and the on-site brown Labrador who was a delight!). Staff were friendly, helpful and allowed us a late check in (which we really appreciated). The pool area was small but perfectly formed. Comfy beds and plenty of shade available. We were lucky to have the pool to ourselves during our stay. Our accommodation (The Barn) was outstanding. I have never experienced such well equipped accommodation in almost 40 years of travelling. The kitchen in particular had everything you could possibly think of- large oven, air-fryer, full sized fridge and freezer, dishwasher, ample glasses/plates/pans, salt and pepper, tea/coffee etc. The Barn only sleeps 2 people, but you could cook a full meal for 6 people quite easily. A braai and fire pit were also provided in the private garden (firelighters and wood provided at no cost). Plenty of outdoor seating Small touches like ice and milk being provided really set this place apart for us. The rest of the accommodation was immaculately clean and the bedroom had a comfortable bed and high quality linen/towels (also enjoyed the Charlotte Rhys toiletries). Air con in the bedroom was a nice touch. We would would definitely return to Raptor Rise.

Raptor Rise is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the cottage which was very comfortable and had a stunning view. It's lovely that they replace your ice, bring you wood and clean your braai each day or when you need it. Really nice touch! We'd definitely go back.

Not a hell of a lot. We had a bit of trouble with our fridge in the beginning but as soon as we mentioned it to them, they made a plan. I'd recommend this place for sure!

It is quiet with the most beautiful mountains. The host was super friendly and ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed as we wanted to braai (BBQ).

We loved everything about this place but if you want to do self catering, rather book the deluxe room for a little bit of extra space. If you only to need to make coffee, the double rooms are perfectly fine.

Raptor Rise is in a very peaceful location with nice views of the mountains. The sunsets ere amazing. If you want to get away from it all this is the place. The room was very clean and bright. Everything you needed although a little compact. There are 3 or 4 wineries within a 5 minute drive and also a brewery/restaurant. Everything very handy if you don’t want to self cater. There is a small bbq outside each room and also a communal large kitchen area. There is a small swimming pool. The chickens are running round in the morning which is amusing.

We stayed in a stable room as it was all that was available when I booked. If you want something a bit more spacious book early!

Enclosed patio with beautiful view. The room may be a bit small for a long stay but it was perfect for us. The room had everything we needed an aircon, great lighting, essential kitchen utilities, a comfortable bed and the warmest shower. We enjoyed the lambs, walking around and relaxing at the pool. It is a great place to relax and recharge our batteries.

We stayed at Raptor Rise for a weekend to attend a wedding at Saronsberg. We had a lovely little cottage with all the amenities that we needed. We loved the fact that it’s on a working farm and are hoping to get the opportunity to visit again when we can relax and enjoy the tranquility of it all.

Liked the privacy. The fans in the bedrooms were a bonus...loved the loft..also the pool towels were great. Loved, loved, loved the pool. The fact that we didn't even realise there was loadshedding was great

The venue is even more beautiful then I could’ve imagined from the pictures!! The views are stunning, the pool area is so chill and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is airconditioning, a fan and the bed is huge. We really loved it here, I hope to come back one day :)

Would have loved a bottle of water. Maybe a bottle of wine :) Double bed was two beds together, not ideal, but understand they need two singles some time.

An absolutely stunning location and the view just takes your breath away. Countless hours passed taking in the view of the valley. The plunge pool was perfect for a dip. Rooms were well equipped. The smaller rooms have kitchenettes but the property has a well equipped communal kitchen.

The shower in our room was a bit dirty and had low pressure.
