Beautiful setting. Peaceful. Well set up for comfortable glamping. Friendly staff.

1.Staff were still getting accommodation ready when we arrived after 2, almost 3pm. We had provided our expected time of arrival in advance. Check in time is stated as 2pm. 2. Considering that an additional cost of R250 ( in addition to wood costs) is charged for staff to start the hot tub fire, one would expect fires and hot tub to be better prepared. Although we requested this - the hot tub was disappointedly cool in temperature. Too little wood in start up fire. More assistance would have been appreciated.

The location and facilities at Doolhof are amazing. Perfect for a combination of rest, but also with a stunning restaurant and plenty of trails for active people. The Spa that you can book to your room is incredible.

The only 2 downers for me are in the tents. Not the way they look, the actual facility or the incredible view 1.) The pillows were pap and made sleeping well hard. The small fridge in our unit's freezer top was broken off. We didn't realise that we should not fully pack the fridge as full as we did and unfortunately some items froze and then went bad like our watermelon, lettuce etc.

The location was perfect with stunning views. The cottage comfortable and plenty of hot water which is essential. The hot tub was easy to use and great.

Not even 1 complimentary bag of wood, glad we brought our own because what was available to buy was wet. The noise, oh my gosh. I understand a working farm but that dog barking half the night, the locals shouting across the valley at 5am and then the generator running through the night from 8pm until 4am on Sunday night......

A beautiful setting, nestled at the foot of the mountain right at the end of the road. A wonderful combination of natural beauty and thoughtful facilities. We took full advantage of the breakfast, braai and picnic baskets on offer. Generous, fresh, tasty. And so convenient. No need to take your own food. Loved that we could have a complimentary wine tasting. Bought some delicious and previously unexplored wines. All in all, came back relaxed and rejuvenated.

Great open gras field with great Mountain View. Perfect location for hiking, mtb ((e-) mtb bike can be rented on site) and whine tasting. Tent is very cosy and has everting needed. Hot tob is fun. Prepare for cold hot tub though as it takes at least 5 hours to warm up and requires at least a full bag of wood (which we think is pretty high impact for a plunge). Very friendly receipt by George and his colleagues

Sensitive for noise with tents located closely next to eachother. Not a problem if you are lucky with the neighbours:)

very helpful staff, Raymond was very helpful both with acquainting me with the property, and regarding the difficulty I had with my car on arrival . The property was peaceful and with a good aspect.

neighbours talking loudly after 1am. outdoor lights on paths to each camp are very bright and shine across to other properties which seems unnecessary .

The location is perfect and it's very peaceful and quiet. It's almost like living on a farm, in the morning you can hear the tractors driving around on the farm. At night time the sky is so beautiful you can see all the stars, perfect for astrophotography. Inside the tent there is a fireplace for the cold evening's. The hot tub was the best part, we didn't want to get out of it!!! We Loved it

Not much everything was perfect, wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing that we didn't like is the dishes that wasn't cleaned properly but, that is not an issue for us. We enjoyed it very much

Beautiful location set in an amazing valley on a stunning Wine Estate. The tents are just as described and certainly the best I’ve ever stayed in. My wife is not a fan of ‘camping’ but was thrilled with our room, which to be honest is more of a chalet/apartment covered in canvas! Contact from the hosts was quick and very helpful. We had Braii baskets which were plentiful and tasty and made good use of the hot tub. It’s not complicated or difficult as some of the reviews may suggest, if you can light a fire and keep it stoked you can manage it. And yes, obviously it takes a little while to heat up - that’s just the mechanics of a wood fired tub. We had ours lovely and hot within about 1.5 hrs and lasted for several hours watching stars under a clear sky.

I get that it’s a working farm and life must go on, but the workers can be a bit loud early in the morning. They need to be more conscious that canvas is not very sound proof, and it wasn’t the machines that bothered us but more the loud shouting across to each other over the machine noise.

Greenish surrounding areas. Calm, pleasant atmosphere. Relaxed environment.Had a marvelous experience with the wine tasting. .

The bar fridge was too small, No cleaning material for the floors eg,mop and bucket. It was extremely hot, and a swimming pool in future will be benificial. .

Improved service for people of black origin. I were racially profiled based on my appearance, yet I were a paid guest. As my Uber entered the gate, a fellow white male guest made an accident with his bakkie prior to being hostile with us.
