Staff here always go above and beyond, there are a fantastic team who work together here. The estate itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and spotless. When we had breakfaat tthe first time we stayed the food was cooked just right with lots of variety.

Wine tastings were unavailable due to the maintenance works. This could not be helped but we were informed quickly when we arrived so we got lunch elsewhere.

Staff felt having their staff meeting during breakfast time was more important than their actual paying customers getting breakfast, so couldnt have breakfast due to this on second day. Also was told restaurant opens at 7am, first day it only opened 7:40 and second day no idea.

Breakfast was delicious, with a fair amount of choice. Sausages were fab! The fruit bowl was a yummy, healthy option too. The garden rooms are all located in the lush, idyllic grounds of the manor house. The pool is secluded, painted an unusual blue, and a necessity for cooling off after a day in the sun. We sat out in the garden every night and were visited by a variety of birds, bats and even a couple of deer - beautiful! There was good wi-fi (should you need it) and also a generator, which meant that there was no load shedding. Dinner was available in the restaurant every evening. Wonderful choice and super food. Our complimentary wine tasting was informative and tasty! (We bought 6 bottles!) We'll come back as soon as we can!

The toilet seat was a little wonky!!

The property is wonderful and large enough for a lovely walk around before breakfast. The complimentary wine tasting was an excellent surprise!

When I had made the booking it would have been better to make it clear that the restaurant is closed on a Monday and Tuesday for dinner. It would have been nice to have a few more options for breakfast

The staff was absolutely the highlight of our trip. Feom Receptionist to Waitresses to Cleaners. They we're always friendly, loveable and helpful For parents, and potential customers, we love people treating our children with joy and love

Diemersfontein is child friendly. Or so it says. If there's a jungle gym, and even a cot on request it should be child friendly. On our first night at the restaurant we we're asked to leave the restaurant to sit outside because someone complained about my 2 year old being too noisy, but she was outside most of the time. Whether you're a tourist or local, the money we spend is the same. For this reason, I wouldn't travel for work again or send my team which I hoped too do.

The staff were lovely and incredibly friendly. We had a really nice relaxing afternoon by the pool and thoroughly enjoyed lunch at the restaurant. We were there for an event so didnt spend too much time at the venue itself. The staff were even kind enough to lend us their only iron.

Nothing, we had a great stay and met all our expectations.

The staff is exceptional. It must be the culture instilled by the owner. They definitely go the extra mile. My husband slipped and had a nasty fall on the way to breakfast and the care and empathy was palpable.

The access to the rooms are difficult especially after the rains. Road is inaccessible and dangerous. Will be great if they can pave or tar the road.

The highlight of our stay were the stunning gardens and swimming pool. I was not expecting this, the gardens were stunning. The cottage was also very cute albeit a little small.

The restaurant was a bit of a let-down. The food was very nice, however the setting felt a little disjointed and the service was slow and rather poor.

The rooms were super with extremely comfortable beds, and blockout curtains. Bese night of sleep I have had in a long time. The guest brochure is also the best brochure that I have seen before. The scented hand and body lotions were a nice touch.

The coffee options were sad in the rooms, just instant Nescafe classic. For such a great tea selection, I would have hoped to have better instant coffee / disposable ground coffee options.

Breakfast was delicious! Surroundings are beautiful and staff was very friendly. Load shedding started at 20:00 but then generator kicked in so no load shedding in our accommodation.

We wanted to do the wine tasting at 16:30 on the Saturday but they started the last at 16:00. When I phone I mentioned that we will be there between 4 and 5 which I was told was fine. Also wanted to buy wine and preserve on Sunday morning before our departure 08:30 but Deli and winetasting only opened at 09:00 and restaurant could not facilitate the sales.
