We had an outstanding stay at Madeliefie. Minette is an excellent hostess who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. We were given recommendations for local attractions and several choices for dinner. Not only did she make dinner reservations for us, but took us there and picked us up once we were finished. Nothing was too much trouble and we would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Minette for your generous hospitality and making our stay in Paarl that bit more special.

There was nothing not to like.

This is our second stay with Minette at Madeliefie....and nothing has changed.... it's still as exceptional as it was 8/9 years ago. The most comfy, super-warm beds in the rainy cold weather and delightful soap/shampoo & hand lotion ;-). And a lovely continental breakfast every morning that we could take in the car. The attention to detail was absolutely fabulous and so neat, tidy & everything was so well kept.

We stayed in a front room which was a little noisy, but this is understandable due to morning traffic on the main Paarl road - but the convenience of Madeliefies situation makes up for this. The previous time we stayed in an upstairs room which was super-quiet & peaceful.

Minette was an exceptional host as soon as we arrived, we were greeted with so much warmth and kindness. The rooms were incredibly spacious and equipped with every home comfort, the beds were so comfy we slept through the entire night and woke well rested. we had the two rooms at the front which also included a beautiful stoop with lots of comfy seating to relax and a dinning table that we could enjoy our breakfast at. the breakfast is delivered the night before and put in the fridge supplied in the rooms. the breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurt, home made rusks and a baked good. we also had juice, tea and coffee. it was wonderful waking up and having breakfast in our own time and leisure. On arrival Minette also told us about the area and local spots for us to visit aswell as places to eat. she also offered to book a reservation at any restraunt we wanted aswell as offer drop off and pick up if we wanted to drink. she is an incredibly sweet hostess and we felt very at home. we also loved Molly the resident dog who always welcomed us in the morning and when we came back from any travels and was always eager for a cuddle and play time. In all we loved every moment and will be sure to come again!

Honestly there was nothing, we loved everything. Id only say to people with big cars that the parking area is a bit tight but can still get in and out, Minette is also there to help if needed.

Perfect accommodation.. clean.. good quality linen and towels.. nicely decorated.. first class service.. friendly staff and great hosts.. Minette and Willie.. thank you both so much for hosting us.. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay... and not to forget Molly (Maltese poodle)who was a gem! We will be back.. hopefully soon.

Everything was just perfect

The bedrooms were tastefully decorated. We loved the small touches i.e. rusks for coffee and tea and the breakfast provided in the fridge for the morning (croissant with ham and cheese, yogurt and muesli, and fruit juice).

We were disappointed that we booked two rooms as the main room we booked had a queen bed and also had a single bed with an extra pull out mattress which meant all 3 of us girls could share the room, which we did. It would have been helpful if we knew about this information before booking an additional room so that we could have saved costs. I forgot to let the owner know that the hairdryer plug didn't fit in any of the plugs provided - it needed a special adaptor which was not provided.

Highly Recommend this Guest House. It has everything you need and is really beautifully decorated. I only stayed one night but is definitely a viable option for a longer stay in the area. Super close to shops and a fantastic location to explore the surrounding areas.

Breakfast was "On the go" so it came prepped in the fridge in the room. Sadly I have food allergies so I could not eat any of it. If this could have been communicated prior it would have been helpful

Madeliefie is a Gem located so ideally close to everything that Paarl has to offer. The attention to detail. The beautiful linen, tapestry, veranda to relax. The property remains in exquisite condition at all times. Thank you so much for an absolute lovely and luxurious stay. For anybody travelling to Paarl and surrounds, it’s a must stay! We unfortunately did not have the breakfast. Minette was a charming host who made our stay in Paarl an exceptional experience as we were celebrating my husband's birthday. She advised us about what to do, which wine estate we may enjoy visiting and where to eat. There were garden furniture under a tree or seating on the 'stoep' for us to enjoy the lovely evenings.

It is a pity that it is on the main street but the closed shutters and heavy curtains did help towards making the street noise less noticeable.

A very friendly and welcoming host. Room was well appointed, with crispy white linen and supersoft, white towels. Decor was lovely and relaxing. We had a great overnight stay. Thank you Minette !

Just take note that noise levels from our next door guests, were rather loud and clear, as there is a dry wall between the 2 upstair rooms. Also motor traffick on the Main Road throughout the night.

The host was very accommodating, warm and friendly. She let us in earlier than we should have just so that we could take a nap after a long trip. It is a pretty place and for people who have children at Paarl Gim it is the perfect place to stay. The room was quite spacious and the parking was above expectation - I parked in the shade under a carport. The host told me everything about Paarl as it was my first time in town where my daughter will school in 2024. I appreciated that there was electricity 24/7

Nothing really except that I am a very light sleeper and the main road's traffic is busy but my 15 yr old daughter slept like a baby. Breakfast is in the room but the fruit was lovely fresh.
