Breakfast was very good. Setting was also very good and nice views. Staff were unobtrusive and friendly. Rooms were well appointed and the TV channels were extensive.

Staff member asked me what I doing on the property.....obviously not aware that I was a guest. Not that I mind but the query was fairly confrontational and in front of other guests he was showing around. He should learn the art of being discreet.

Food excellent. Staff very good and friendly. Great position. Wonderful views.

The pool needs work. Tiles missing, slats missing and the ones there green. Top of sides dirty. Area around needs painting. Floor tiles dangerously slippery when wet. Room 23 needs privacy blinds as anyone walking past can see into bedroom so curtains have to be kept shut which is a shame. Sparkling water put in fridge - in the heat it should be still water as we had to buy so much. We enjoyed our stay and everything else very good so these points are constructive criticism.

The overall experience was very good. The management have done a good job in communicating to the staff the expectation of high standard required by their guests.

The generator being 10m from our rooms. The entrance to the bar/restaurant was not obvious and a single door in the corner opening from the veranda did not make it welcoming - although was inside this was forgotten!

location is close to the centre of Paarl, walking distance to the main street. The bedroom suite was beautiful & staff were all friendly & helpful without exception. The premises are superbly decorated & you are really made to feel like a special guest.

The only downside on this occasion was, due to load shedding, the outside generator commenced at 0630 & was located near our bedroom - woke up rather early that day!!

Grande Roche Hotel is beautiful and we loved the room.

The bathroom is in need of some TLC and the restaurant is just ok. At night you can hear the neighbourhood dogs barking constantly. Which isn’t the hotel’s fault but takes the peace and quiet away.

The staff at this hotel is EXCEPTIONAL! I have travelled the world and I have NEVER experienced service and care like I did here. They were always friendly, attentive and helpful, from the reception staff, to the waiters to the cleaning staff. Our room was beautiful and bed comfortable. The food was amazing and Chef Kevin Grobler such a lovely person. We will definitely be back!

Our shower - you can see it was built a long time ago and is a bit weird. If they only attached a longer pipe to the wall connecting to the shower head, it would make a big difference.

Breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and everything was superb. Will definitely be back and would recommend it for anyone spending time in Paarl. Great break away.

Amazing place with wonderful views and great staff. Very charming and comfortable room to relax and enjoy the area. Excelente restaurant.

The everyday menu lack some options for those days you feel like eating simple/comfort food, specially after many wine and tasting menus.

The hotel was really lovely and provided us with everything we needed. The staff were very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We did not want to leave! We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The food was wonderful but the menu was not compatible with our needs and lacked choice. Also, the in room dining menu, published in our room, was different to the actual food available which was disappointing.

Beautiful property with incredible views! Team were so lovely & the food delicious! Great location - easy to get to wine tram & Stellenbosch.
