We stayed in Jasmine Suite which has a private garden. The studio was spacious and clean. Our dog loved chilling in the garden. There is an indoor fireplace and we got enough wood to fire that up or have a braai. The house is very close to restaurants and bars, there is also a beach just opposite (it's not dog friendly so if you come with a dog, you'll need to drive).

Lovely, spacious and dog friendly as there is a lovely enclosed courtyard for my little 4 paw kiddos. The bed and bedding was superb and nice strong water flow in the shower. The little kitchen inside the unit came In very handy and Mc Precious was very friendly and helpful.

A little oven would have been ideal. There is a stove top, microwave the works so a a little oven may be overboard, but I needed it to prepare something for the dogs. No train smash, but that would have been great!

Location & room (first one on the ground floor)…well appointed and perfect for a holiday stay. If we had stayed longer would definitely have used the braai area. Condiments made available which is thoughtful.

Not that clean…cobwebs above the shower, mildew around the shower floor, tea towels had a dank smell, wash sponge was fatty from previous use. Parking is very tight and tricky when guests have big cars - just glad we got there early enough.

We could only stay one night but the room was huge, very clean and with everything you need in it and more. Very close to (2 min walk) to lovely restaurant ( Le Girls) which was perfect. Met at the door by McPrecious who was lovely, very helpful and is always on hand.

Shame about the load sharing but it is what it is, not their faults.

I had a wonderful stay at Hamilton House with my Yorkie. We did a one night stop over while travelling to the Eastern Cape and the property exceeded my expectations. My only regret is not staying longer, so I will have to come back. The staff were extremely friendly, the location is perfect on the beach and within walking distance of so many restaurants and shops.

Outstanding property in a beautiful setting. Our Suite was spotlessly clean with quality furnishings and great views of the sea. McPrecious and his team were so helpful and willing to provide a first class service. Our room was serviced every day with nice extras such as fresh bottled water daily and cupcakes on arrival. You can leave your car at the property and walk to the village restaurants - the area is very safe. We had a very comfortable 10 night stay and can’t wait to return.

A seamlessly easy booking and welcoming experience, and we loved the spaciousness and comfort of our well-appointed ground-floor Jasmine Suite - especially with our dog in tow. Wonderful king-size bed, plush linen and bedding, high-pressure shower, well-equipped kitchen and fabulous outside braai area.

McPrecious is a real star and looked after us so well - he was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had the Yellow Wood suite, which is absolutely huge and on the top floor with a brilliant view of the sea. The suite was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and we had a very comfortable stay. Only a short walking distance to several restaurants, shops and a Spar supermarket.

Parking on-site is a bit tight, especially if you have a large car or SUV, but it is possible to park on the grass outside or directly opposite, so not a major issue.

Everything about Hamilton House was just perfect. We stayed in Yellowwood Suite, on the top level and would highly recommend. The space was open and airy, with huge sliding doors. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and basics like salt, pepper, oil, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. A short walk to the great range of restaurants and bars, with secure parking and access. McPrecious, who looks after things, was welcoming and helpful. During load shedding there was a generator, which was a bonus.

The guesthouse was beautiful with spacious rooms including a living room and kitchen and balcony. We were traveling with a toddler and we had enough space for all of her things and ours. The bathroom had heated floors and heated towel racks. Each balcony had a braai area and umbrella and a huge plus was that they had a generator. The staff were friendly and helpful to us. The guesthouse is in a great location with a view of the lake and you can easily walk to all the restaurants and the beach. Had a lovely stay and I would return
