It’s importent to understand what sort of place this is. It’s a traditional Korean guest house. You sleep on a thin mattress on the floor. One guest staying at the same time as us was expecting it to be a bit more like a Holiday Inn and seemed disappointed. The facilities are basic, but provide everything you need. We thought it was great and would certainly stay again if in the area. The owner is the perfect host. Very eager to please and has provided many extras in the communal part of the guest house - microwave, chilled water, tea & coffee etc. The location couldn’t be better. It’s near the river, on the edge of the Hanok village, which is a big tourist attraction.

We arrived by hire car on a sunny Sunday afternoon. As it’s such a popular attraction, all the nearby parking spaces were full, but we were still able to park on a street the other side of the river. Obviously there is no parking at the guest house itself. Be aware that there were only two double mains outlets in our room, the fridge uses one and the TV and cable box use two others. If you have lots of phones and gadgets needing overnight charging, you would do best to bring a multi-device charger, or else do without the TV. One less obvious thing is that because you sleep on a mattress on the floor, the floor has underfloor heating for comfort. If you need to wash shirts and underwear, laying them flat on the floor will get them nice and dry by the morning.

- You are on the border of the hanok village so you get to wander around the neighbourhood without having to deal with crowds taking pictures in front of the accommodation and you get easy access to public transports. - The host is super nice and discreet so you get all the privacy you need. - The room is perfect size for a solo traveller, you’ll get enough space for your belongings and yourself. - The room has floor heating so you won’t get cold. I saw some people complaining about the bathroom but to be honest, there was really no issue. - The host gives water, coffee and tea for free which is greatly appreciated. I can only recommend!

The location was excellent. It’s calm, quiet, with a small fountain in the middle of the patio providing a peaceful sound. In the house, there was coffee, water and a small common area (I didn’t use it). The owner was extremely helpful and lovely. He not only helped me to carry my luggage but also ordered a taxi and accompanied me to the pick up point. He explained all the amenities and was very kind. I would only point out the outside light in the patio disturbed me a bit, but nothing I could solve with an eye mask.

The guesthouse is well located, although, it was quite difficult to find the place upon arrival. Everything is easily accessible. The room was simple but quite big with a private bathroom. I could have 2 mattresses which made the bed comfortable enough. The lounge has a fridge, a microwave and a coffee/team machine. Water bottles are complementary. The host is very nice and helpful. Always there to give a hand or an information.

Nothing. I could just suggest to offer breakfast as most of the restaurants / bakeries open rather late.

Staff very kind and helpful, can leave luggage before check in or after check out although it's in the common area so maybe not the most secure. Room was clean and had a good amount of space but cobwebs on the ceiling and around the windows should be taken care of in my opinion... Bed was traditional hanok style thin mattress but to be expected Coffee, water and ice machine were handy

Wifi was absolutely terrible, I'm not sure if this was even the place's private wifi or some kind of public wifi that somehow is in range but very very weak

It was a beautiful Hanok with a nice garden. The owner was so nice and everything was perfect. It was in a good location. I was told I got upgraded in a double room instead of a single room, so I was a little surprised how small the room was, but it is not a big deal, I mean I am in a foreign country so I will anyway use the room only for sleeping. For everyone who has never been to Korea (or Japan), you will sleep on a tradtionial futon on the floor so don’t expect a super soft matress! I love the futons so it was perfect for me.

The internet was not amazing, but it just makes you spend more time off the phone, wich is great since there is a pretty garden to just enjoy!

1) The location: near the Hanok village but quiet enough. 2) I am never lost getting back to the Hanok because a distinct landmark for Happiness Full Guesthouse is the Namcheon Bridge with 청 연 루 pavilion atop. 3) Mr Kang, the owner, is the most engaged, accommodating and helpful host I have met. He is at the Hanok most of the time and will respond to any message and accede to requests whenever possible. 4) Coffee machine dispenses coffee brewed with freshly ground coffee beans on demand. 5) Small but neat garden. 6) The whole place is very clean.

Seriously, nothing at all

Very helpful owner. Very good location, easy to walk to the entire old part of Jeonju. Tiny room, but we could use a common indoor area with table and fridge as well.

We suspected sleeping on such thin matrasses in the floor and not having any chairs would be uncomfortable...and it was. But we knew that in advance.

I really enjoyed my stay ! After having watched so many historical dramas, it was nice to experience it in real. The owner was really nice and I really liked the fact that there was a common room. It was a great way to meet people! And regarding the comfort, after reading the other comments, I was afraid that it might me uncomfortable but in fact I had the best night ever ! I'm team hard mattress so this was so nice ! I think I'm going to sell by bed once... And I was also afraid the room would be too small for one person, it was just perfect.

I only stayed one night and I can't think of anything that I didn't liked

This was the best place to stay. It looks adorable, the people were lovely, the location is absolutely fantastic, and the sleep set up worked really well for me. The cosiest two nights sleep ever! I was very happy with how clean it was too.

The kitchen facilities are limited if you’re someone who likes to self cater but the proximity to convenience stores and restaurants means it’s not really an issue.
