I am a solo traveler who is really into zenlike experiences and this accommodation met my expectations for that. I am minimalist and my room was situated at the back of the very ornate, traditional house, beautiful. Loved it.

There was a room next to mine that was empty when I arrived, but a European tourist family with children came the 2nd day and stayed in that room. They were noisy and the kids were sick, coughing a lot. It sort of ruined my zenlike vibe, but I rose above it.

A beautiful hanok house in a lovely area of Jeonju. The owner is a poet who met us and read some of his own poetry to us upon our request. It was a charming welcome.

The booking was a bit confusing, in that we thought we had booked the whole house, with all available space able to handle 9 people. But upon arriving, we were told that we could only have 6 people there, as that's what the booking was for. The situation was all resolved in the end, but it was very confusing. I'm not sure if the booking system just isn't clear about booking the entire house vs. booking just for a limited number of travelers (or perhaps the mistake was ours in not noticing disclaimers upon booking), but in any case this aspect of the booking was very confusing for us and caused substantial stress until resolved after we arrived.

The host was amazing. He gave me his book of poems that he wrote and served me some local food. The stay felt very authentic and traditional

The room is really basic, but that is what you sign up for if you want a classic hanok stay. A better shower would be good though.

I had a great stay. The host was great and the location was perfect.

Absolutely gorgeous building, the location was amazing, easy walk to the main street of Hanok village. The host came and greeted us and allowed us early check in of luggage, which we were very thankful of. He was very kind and friendly.

Only complaint was the futon was a bit thin. A little bit hard to sleep on. Otherwise it was a great stay!
