AWESOME place to stay. If you are a snob that's looking for a heartless Hilton - just go away, you won't like it, people here have souls :))) If you are after AMAZING hospitality, warmth and feeling like you belong, even though I don't speak a word of Korean - go for it ❤️ We had a very decent sized apartment with everything you might need, loads of pillows which I liked and perfect mattresses that made us rested nicely after a long days spent hiking. The owner who welcomed us and was there to take care of us throughout the stay is an absolute star, she is honestly one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life... I just wish more people were like you!!! Thank you so much for being so awesome and nice to us, you honestly made my heart melt - and your kindness towards my daughter will not be forgotten ❤️❤️❤️ Will definitely come back and stay again if I am in Korea. No better place in Seorak!!! ❤️

The fact that I stayed in Seorak so short!

This hostel type of resort is nestled next to a beautiful river - the river sounds lulled us to sleep! Serene and very quiet, we stayed here for two nights with our kids so we could visit Sokcho and Sorak National park. The couple running the place is warm and friendly and catered to all our needs - a cot for our younger son, extra blankets, a heater etc. The room was spacious for the four of us and had a small kitchenette with a fridge, dishes, cutlery, etc as well as a kitchen table. In the morning, there’s continental breakfast served free of charge. There are also drinks and snacks like instant ramen available for purchase. Great rates and kind people! Highly recommend!

Our Korean Nan was the best!!!! An absolutely amazing host, friendly and welcoming. We arrived late at night check in was simple Room was clean - private bathroom - aircon We woke early to hike and missed breakfast (served from 8-9am) when we returned at midday she organised for us to eat a late breakfast (no charge) and organised local tickets to the onsen to soak our tired muscles. The outdoor area is great for relaxing 7/11 and bus stop is a 5 min walk

Good location and beautiful surroundings Hosts were amazing, very friendly and helpful Good amenities, everything you need in the room Very close to Seoraksan park 7-eleven and restaurants close by (5min walk) 20min drive to Sokcho We got a bigger room/free upgrade!

The facilities are a bit old but they are well kept We didn't care but there isn't a full breakfast, just some bread, jam, tea, eggs and drinks :) It's completely fine for us The fridge can be loud

Decent room, outdoor space where you could sit in the day and at night. They gave a small breakfast in the morning. You could also buy some drinks or ramyeon there. A few restaurants on walking distance. Parking lot. Friendly owners. You could ask for extra towels if you stayed longer. You could also do your laundry there and pay for it. Not so far with the car from seoraksan

No elevator, but they wanted to help with the luggage. I would suggest having a car

This hotel is indeed a little of the beaten track, but there is a busstop 1 street down, and the busses into Sokcho go regularly. It is also only 15 min by bus to the start of all the trails in Soeraksan, and the 7eleven is open 24/7. The ambience of the hotel is amazing, and a lot of that has to do with the lovely hostess. She is very sweet at recommended places to eat in Sokcho when we just arrived. On a sunny day, you can eat breakfast outside near the stream or just relax there after a long hike. I also recommend trying the ramen cooker they have.

Lovely characteristic guesthouse. Spacious rooms, a nice porch overlooking the river, and everything you need. The host/manager was super welcoming and helpful, giving us a ride to the park and the bus station! The location is convenient for Seoraksan National Park and for Sokcho beaches. Frequent buses run to both. The village Seoraksan-Dong itself has a few convenience stores and simple traditional Korean restaurants, with good food. Mon-Thursday it's extremely quiet.

The owner of Smile Resort is so friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right next to the bus stops for bus 7, which reaches the national park entrance in five minutes and Sokcho in 20-30 minutes. It is also near to a couple of shops and restaurants, although they have varied opening times. There is a shared kitchen and free breakfast at the hotel.

The only small thing is that there is no housekeeping so our bins/beds weren’t made or emptied during the stay.

The accommodation has a character of the mountain chalet. It is a place with heart and soul + all the facilities needed as described. The host and their family made our stay really enjoyable and comfortable. Big thanks for helping us to book ferry tickets for the next leg of our journey to Ulleungdo. Beautiful location with the stream behind and a room with a view. We easily got to the Sereoksan National Park by bus. *Polish milk at breakfast :)

We had a wonderful four night's stay at this cosy and friendly Hotel. The little village where this place is located may be a little run down, the Smile Hotel shows no sign of this. Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, we had a view over the mountains and the little stream that runs directly at the back of the Hotel. The owners of this place, wife and husband, you can surely look forward to meeting them.
