The location is lovely, the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked the moorish inspired decor in the communal areas and the wall tiles.

I tried the breakfast on my first morning, but I have had better for the money. I would have preferred self selection of fruit, yoghurt, cheese, croissants etc as I have had in other hotels, only requesting cooked items from a server, if desired. The coffee was good, but my toasted croissant was barely toasted, the fruit selection not for me. I understand for other people it might have been fine, but this required too much communication first thing and I prefer to select what I want.

Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The layout was very practical. We were very pleased with the shower and toothbrush/soaps. The restaurant was amazing and the breakfast was also very good. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The hotel was very convenient, very close to the beach and has 24hr reception. Heating/air con in the room worked well.

You can hear people moving around the hotel as the walls are very thin. We used ear plugs and managed to sleep ok. There’s no tea or coffee kettle in the room which was a bit of an inconvenience. A kettle and two cups would have made the rooms feel much more relaxing.

wonderful hotel with friendly staff. I got first a room with pipes that made some noise but they let me change my room immediately. very kind cleaning ladys and breakfast was great for a good value. You can order whatever you like from the comfort of your table, and they will bring you your freshly made omelet, tostada, croissants. Together with what you like, avocado, cheese or ham etc. any coffee or tea. Everything for only 12 euros. the view from the hotel is great and you can get even better view from on top of the mountain with a cross, which is just infront of the hotel. I will be happy to come back next Christmas again! Thanks!

minor issue was that my pillow was a little big for me and I sleep on the side, I could've probably gotten another one from them but I didn't bother because it was not that big of a deal.

The Hotel Casablanca must have the best location in Almunecar My balcony room gives a lovely view over a small square towards the sea. I didn’t go swimming but a friend did. It’s January and she swam for over half an hour. She warns .. beware of spiny black sea urchins around the rocks of the breakwater.

I was unable to work out how to use the safes ( there were two) in my room but then I did not ask at reception … who would have put an envelope of my valuables in their own secure place. I was here in January so I had no need for a fridge in my room (302).

We did a 11 day road trip across Spain for our honeymoon, staying in 7 or 8 different places - and this hotel was our favourite. It's in a fantastic location, staff are friendly, our balcony had a lovely view over a plaza and over towards the beaches. We had breakfast in the hotel, which was very reasonable, but didn't try the evening meal unfortunately. That said, we will be back. We were a couple travelling with our 15 month old daughter, and there was a lot to do on our door step with her, such as the parrot park outside, the tuk tuk stop opposite the hotel and the beach, which was just over a stone's throw from the hotel.

Only a minor moan, but the air con didn't seem very good and was set by staff downstairs. There is street parking, but I could only find some a 20 minute walk away, as early September it was quite busy still.

Great location for sightseeing, as it was winter, the beach wasn´t of much interest to us. Nice room, a bit on the small side, but well appointed. Close to the castle, peñones, roman salt works, bird zoo, restaurants etc. Pleasant stay.

Parking was on street, but easy and free in winter. I imagine very difficult in the summer. Bed a little on the short side, and room somewhat small, but for us fine. EV charger at Mercadona worked well, 25 cents per kWh, 2 hours free parking if you buy 20 euros worth of goods.

Excellent location with parking available near the hotel. Staff very helpful, rooms comfortable and clean. Very good value for money. Would certainly book the hotel when we visit the area again.

Breakfast was very good, but it would be helpful if a multi-lingual menu was available to show the many options available. The staff were very helpful with ordering but visitors with poor Spanish may not understand all the options available.

Opposite the beach, minutes from shops and restaurants and mostly quiet unless you count the tropical shrieks of birds from the park opposite. The staff were really kind and friendly and the room was small but very comfortable. I was a bee to work on the terrace with a reasonable wifi connection. I really enjoyed my stay.

I had lunch there once, I didn't think the food was great quality for the price although the breakfasts were very good.

Location location location!!!

NOISEY place but got used to it. Discounting builders work as unavoidable but you are above 3 cafes so guess you better siesta at siesta time! Noisy even Sunday night near Midnight but hey we got used to it even the screeching parrots opposite in Jardine. All good with right attitude. We dont sweat the small stuff🤣 NO molester most days cos we like to try to be green and save towels and housekeeping.

Staff lovely. We had lunch the first day of our stay, it was delicious. The room was comfortable, it had everything you needed including a fridge. Plenty of lighting in the room. We took a kettle, cups etc, not many hotels provide them The location is excellent, near the castle, the old town, botanical gardens, bird sanctuary and the beach.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, the only thing is that the air con doesn't have a fan but it still cooled the room.
