Everything! I would rate it 12/10. Hands down the best stay of my trip. Welcoming staff who consistently went above and beyond. I felt treasured as soon as I stepped inside the door. Great central location near the bear restaurants, shops, services, farmacias, and two blocks from the bus stop to Santiago which was great because I injured my knee walking Camino and had to bus forward each night in my last week in order to heal. Sumptuous linens, soft pillows and a very comfortable bed. Decorated to a high style with attention to every detail. I had the best sleep of my Camino here! Also a sumptuous breakfast that was included in the fee. They even arranged a dinner reservation for me at nearby Casa Nene which was to do for. Well worth the splurge!!!

Amazing hotel on our Camino walk. The room was absolutely beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. We had been walking for 8 hours and were exhausted when we arrived and the staff brought us ice packs and was so accommodating. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed and the bathroom was perfect. We really enjoyed talking with Adrian when checking out - he is a wealth of information in the luxury hotel space. I absolutely recommend this hotel - do not miss it when staying in Arzua!

We loved our stay here and dream about visiting again. Everything was memorable about our visit - the property was gorgeous and the rooms were beautiful and charming; the onsite restaurant was notably delicious and was one of our favorite meals in Spain. Also, the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. They went out of their way several times to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They even brought us coffee and cake while to enjoy in their garden. This is a very special place and I truly believe that the hospitality here is the best you’ll find in Spain.
My only regret is not staying here longer. The property is lovely.

Oh, gracious, where to start. Adrian, the operator, has created a unique experience. The hotel is beautifully decorated. It was luxurious and decidely comfortable. He and his co-owners evidently have a gift for selecting hospitality staffing. His employees were exemplary, particularly in the restaurant. The meals were exquisite and served (both by both breakfast and dinner staff) in an elegant, informed but graciously, friendly manner. We cannot emphasize enough our pleasure with their genuinely attentive approach.
Having to leave, we truly wish we had seen that there was an option to stay multiple nights with Adrian offering shuttle service prior to and after arriving in Arzua.

As a seasoned traveler with a discerning eye, I rarely find myself truly impressed. But the 1930 Hotel, managed to exceed every expectation. A Room Steeped in History: Living up to its name, the Las Palmeras room was a delightful immersion into 1930s charm. The décor was thoughtfully curated, transporting us back to a bygone era. Unlike the often cramped hotel rooms in Europe, this one offered a spacious haven – a true rarity these days. The bathroom, while functional, seamlessly continued the period theme, making even a routine visit feel special. Breakfast Fit for Royalty: Unlike the impersonal buffets found at most hotels, breakfast at 1930 Hotel was an intimate affair. We were assigned a time slot, and our table awaited us adorned with fresh fruit, yogurt, and homemade pastries. Then came the main event: perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, and an assortment of delectable pastries that were clearly made with love. Family Hospitality at its Finest: What truly elevates the 1930 Hotel experience is its family-owned charm. The attention to detail and genuine care for guests is unlike anything I've encountered before. It extends from the gracious owners to the entire staff – everyone plays a part in creating a welcoming atmosphere. Above and Beyond Service: This dedication to guest well-being truly shone through during a medical emergency within our group. The owner, Adrian, stepped up in a way that left us speechless. He took it upon himself to organize the group, ensuring the sick received immediate medical attention at the hospital while coordinating luggage transportation and ensuring the rest of us continued our journey smoothly. He even ask his father, Ramon, to walk us into the emergency room and stay by our side to translate and explain the next steps. This level of personalized service is unheard of – Ramon's actions went far beyond the call of duty and demonstrated the genuine warmth that permeates this special hotel.
Although the restaurant food was amazing i would have loved to have a “cortado” in the mornings

This is a fantastic little gem of a hotel on the Camino. Even the beautiful exterior didn’t prepare us for what we’d find inside. It’s a little oasis which you don’t need to leave as it has everything you need. We arrived hot and sweaty after a 23km walk to find a lovely garden and swimming pool to cool down in. The reception and rooms have been beautifully decorated and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant which were served at a more reasonable time of 5-8pm especially when you have to get up for an early start the next day
Although the breakfast was lovely it felt a little rushed

The 1930 Boutique Hotel was an absolute glorious surprise for my husband and I who were weary pilgrims. The first surprise was the pool. Adrian mentioned it when we checked in which was a wonderful respite for weary legs and feet. The yard is gorgeous so we remained in the garden/yard to rest until dinner. The ambiance of the hotel, the room, the dining room (open air over looking the garden/yard) and the lobby are 5 star as was dinner in the dining room that evening. The hotel provided a glorious respite from the rigor of the camino. The best aspect of the hotel however are the owners, Rosana and Adrian. They are lovely, gracious hosts. My husband and I wish them great success on their business and in life! Buen Camino y muchas gracias!
NOTHING.

Everything was perfection. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. The hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated and the hotel itself is very well located. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. So much effort and thought has been put into all aspects of the hotel. Breakfast was beautifully served and the hotel also had a restaurant offering dinner, which was amazing. We stayed two nights and the hotel helped to arrange transport to pick us up and drop us off to continue our Camino walk further along the route. An amazing place to stay - I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Amazing boutique hotel. Chose this hotel for a luxury treat stay after walking hundreds of kms on the Camino Norte. It was nothing short of superb in every way. The owner/manager Adrian embodies ‘hospitality’ and is a true professional. Incredible attention to detail. Beautiful decor, gorgeous room overlooking the gardens, quiet, great bed with quality linens and amenities. Excellent breakfast (the waitress was perfect!) Also ate at their restaurant Casa Nene which was great. Absolute gem of a small hotel.
Only one thing I’d have like was a bath tub! Otherwise, perfection 😊

Beautiful property. This is my third stay walking the Camino and every time I vow to return. Everyone is Friendly and helpful and anything I need is attended to without a problem. This stay I had the pleasure of staying in the new poolside villas, which are exceptional. Their onsite restaurant serves delicious dinner and breakfast. Cannot recommend highly enough. A beautiful treat on the Camino.
