Everything. It was clean, the room was large, the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had a very deep bath, which was perfect after a day of walking. The staff were friendly, the self serve breakfast had a great variety. Our room had a view onto the town square with a small enclosed balcony, where we sat in the afternoon and watched the world go by. We would happily stay at this hotel again.

Great location and the best night sleep we had on the Camino. Lovely dining area for a plentiful breakfast. Directly over the road from the monastery.

There was a strange chimney blowing something out periodically and it was situated on a lower roof in front of our room. The pool is out of use.

Absolute gem of a hotel on the Camino across the square from the monastery. Super comfortable, clean, quiet. Room was spacious, great bathroom and amenities. And I have to mention the BEST hairdryer in weeks of hotels on the Camino! Lovely woman staff member insisted on carrying my bag up to the second floor. All self serve light breakfast in included (also a coffee machine!) Really great stay 😊

The woman who checked us in was very kind and helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a self serve breakfast included in our stay which was a wonderful surprise and provided a great start to our next day on the Camino del Norte.

Everything - the staff was so welcoming. The room was great with a balcony view and extremely comfortable beds. After walking over 15 miles on the Camino that day, the comfortable beds and the bathtub were great treats! The beautiful monastery was just across the street along with some very nice restaurants. Loved our stay - thank you so much!!!!

From our room, we can see the monastery’s towers. It has a balcony too. Love how the bathroom was furnished. There’s a space heater in the room that we could control which is a major benefit. They have a generous self serve breakfast which exceeded our expectations. Clearly the owners are giving great value and not penny pinching to maximize profits. It’s a two minute walk to the monastery too. Isabel, the staff, took our two bags up two flights of stairs to our room! Amazing customer service. We were on the Camino and really appreciate such generosity and kindness.

Very nice room with views over the town square to the Monastry. Enjoyed the "all day" breakfast facility during our two night stay.

Total lack of WiFi in our room during our stay, although workmen were busy installing a replacement WiFi system. Breakfast on 2nd morning was dominated by three new "guests" listening to loud messages/news programs on their cellphones. Not a great experience!

A very big THANK YOU to the lady on reception! We had to catch a bus to Santiago and she showed us exactly where the bus stop was and even rang the bus company to check the bus timetable. It made our journey less stressful - she was a credit to the hotel.

Great location and room, helpful staff, and the self serve breakfast was exceptional!

This would have been the absolute best place that we have stayed over 30 days in Spain hiking the Camino del Norte, except for one fairly easily remedied issue: the WiFi signal was too weak to reach our room. I hope they get a new router or a repeater so that this can truly be the best value in Spain!
