The setting was truly spectacular. The staff were all excellent and most spoke some english and we got by with our limited Spanish. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The spa was open twice a day and sometimes there were only a few other people in there. Numbers were limited each session so it was never crowded. The food in both the restaurant and the cafeteria was most enjoyable as was the choice at breakfast. relaxing music in the background and spectacular views over the grounds from enormous arched windows. The golf course isn´t open yet as its being re-manicured. Unless you want to truly relax and disconnect from the fast lane, and not go out, you need a car to explore the area and there are some lovely places to visit. the north coast is just gorgeous.

wow that tricky as everything was so lovely. an outdoor pool would make a fabulous extra with some sunbeds and umbrellas as the only place to have a small swim is actually in the thalassotherapy pool area. we did have a conversation with the reception and they said that it is a possibility in the future.

The setting of the hotel is perfect for a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of work and a busy life. The staff were friendly and helpful and the overall image and installations well kept. The spa is a bit steep in price, but definitely worth a visit. And although previous comments hinted on a not so good breakfast, we found that there were enough choices for a good buffet. And the 'croquetas de jamón' that we had one evening with some cheese, olives and a glass of albariño wine, were delicious.

Tip: if you are a light sleeper, take the key card out of its slot for the electric connection during night time, the banging noise every few minutes will keep you awake. And the TV that automatically switches on every time you put the key card in the electric connection slot is a bit annoying.

It is a very comfortable hotel with facilities befitting a finalist in the European Best Spa competition. I paid for an upgraded room which was well worth the extra expense. There are two restaurants but my preference was the bar one because they had a vegetarian dish. But the most important thing for me in any hotel (grand or humble) is the staff. I like friendly, helpful, efficient and effective staff. Lucia Cabado is one of those people who is just that, she is a great asset to your business and excelled in assisting us during our two day stay. Please commend her on my behalf. I recommend this hotel highly.

The location is perfect, well kept grounds, lovely room with a huge, comfortable bed. My husband liked watching the Olympics on the massive tv. Really quiet at night. Nice cafeteria and we could have breakfast/dinner there with our dog. Staff are very friendly too. Easy parking, good base for nice walks and day trips. We’d definitely go back.

The sprinklers are on at full blast at breakfast time and we almost got soaked on the terrace! The spa is nice but I don’t understand why very small children can access it, it takes away any possibility of relaxing unfortunately. Some of the things in the spa weren’t working properly.

Relaxing luxury stay after finishing the Camino Norte at Baamonde. Spa was a great experience for the extra cost. Buffet dinners and breakfasts had good variety of food. And bar/cafeteria provided other food and drink options. Lots of sitting areas to enjoy. Room was spacious and comfortable. Nice natural setting.

Cocktails served at the bar. Hammocks to lie in to better appreciate the trees on the grounds.

Staff was friendly, allow late check in, help with tips and the spa was amazing experience. Highly recommend to relax. The facilities and views around are also very beautiful.

I didn't expect the healthy-like nature of the pools and the need to book them for specific hours (apart from the small one for children). But we managed to use it early in the morning after breakfast :)

I loved the ambience and spacious halls with calming music everywhere. The room was super spacious. The bed was comfy. The bathroom equipment was new and well functioning. The staff were polite and helpful

Very clean, modern and comfortable hotel. Nice park to walk around. Bed was very comfortable with a big room. Complementary bottle of water and coffee in the room. Spa was good though there was no sauna. Good and abundant breakfast.

The lamp in the bathroom was falling out. There was some kind of machine running in the back of the hotel where my room was, and it was a bit noisy if you open the window.

Everything was excellent from the facilities and staff to the rooms and services. Will definitely go back!

Not sure why but there were some families there with infant children. Not the hotels fault but this isn't a wise choice for families with kids where adults want to go to relax and rest in peace. People should consider that before booking a spa hotel!
