This is a really fine family owned and family-run business which will make you feel at ease and welcome, without fuss or great expense. The room s are straightforward but everything is there and works, and they are well. Heated in the winter. Good if you are drying out from the Camino de Compostelle. The team also got a complete wash and dryer of our soaked and smelly gear done for us Dining and lunch was tasty and hearty, with a good tasty local selection and some better wines as well as the regular table one.

The hotel itself was lovely! It also had the softest cotton duvet and pillow covers. I felt like sinking into cotton balls. but the helpfulness and kindness of the staff is what really made it special. When i arrived i was in a tizzy because my phone charger had broken. and everything i need is in that one thing. So on a Saturday afternoon they made it their mission to get me a new charger. This wasn't the only time i experienced kindness during my stay. From the first moment i arrived until i left the next morning i felt like home and welcomed. It was wonderful. Thank you very much for a wonderful last night of my camino <3

The room was clean and nice but quite standard - exactly the one you expect from a hotel near a busy road. But it was surprisingly quite. And what's most important, we were treated by a man who welcomed us not like clients but like a real guests. And what a dinner he cooked for us! It was like being hosted in a real Galician home. Places to remember are created by remarkable people. And we will remember Hotel Santa Cruz thanks to its host. Gracias!

Lovely personal service from the family that owns this place. I had a lovely visit thanks to them.

Unfortunately I arrived before the pool had opened for the year and the instructions for how to get there from the Camino can be improved as Carrás actually don’t have a sign from the Camino. I suggest say: Turn right at Km 24,119 and then straight down to the main road where you can cross throw a tunnel and then turn right. Continue up the main road passing a Tres Tapas place before you’ll find the hotel.

Friendly staff, clean room, great food in attached restaurant. One of the best showers of all the accommodations along the Camino Inglés - with big bathtub - and the exhaust fan in the bathroom actually worked. Space at the rear to hang washing. Stand fan in the room.

This was the best shower I have had on my whole trip. It was hot and strong. Everyone was kind, the bed was comfortable, the food was good. But the shower was amazing!!!!

Very nice room towards the garden with peace and pretty view of green. Very friendly and patient staff and great food. Good internet.

Everything was great except the fan in the bathroom always came on with the light and staid on for ages. You could also hear the screeching of restaurant chairs above from time to time.

What a lovely hostal. No frills but a good honest, warm welcome with good home cooked food. Caring family run place who always have a smile and friendly word and although we would use Spanish they were also always helping with some English. So helpful and a perfect place to stop when on the Camino Inglés even if slightly off the track. Warm rooms. Comfortable beds. Spotless. Great service and staff. Caring and attention to detail. Lots of hot water at all hours (!!) perfect for getting our laundry done (and they offer a laundry service) so perfect if you’re walking on beyond Santiago. Lovely big towels. Very good value for money. Thoroughly recommend.
