Luxurious old-world Spanish architecture meets comfort. Facilities were beautiful. I could’ve lived in my room as it was a mini-suite. Bed was comfortable and bathroom exceptionally clean. Breakfast was superb, a selection of cured meats/cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, individual pots of coffee, and scrambled eggs. Staff were beyond kind and helpful. Owner walked me across the street to help me get reservations at Michelin star restaurant. Located right on the Camino path and very close to the cathedral and Gaudi museum.

Wish they would’ve had coffee services either in the lobby or in the room.

This was the most beautiful place we have stayed so far on the Camino. Gorgeous courtyard. Beautiful room and view.

This was a two night stay, as we wanted a "rest" day in Astorga. We splurged on a very nice hotel. But the "free" Wi-Fi is totally unusable, so we had to go to cafés to use their Wi-Fi. Also the staff was not friendly or helpful. One gentleman staff member yelled at my husband for attempting to get a cup of hot water to make tea. My husband had wondered into a kitchen area, which was not meant for guests, but the staff member could have been kind. Instead, he yelled. Prior to that, we were walking into the hotel, and the same staff member stopped us and made us show him our room key. He acted like he didn't think we belonged there. It was a lovely stay, otherwise.

Location in the middle of Astorga, which is great. Outside parking space available at the hotel. Clear guidance received on what to to enter in the gps to find the hotel, because it is in a pedestrian street. Very friendly staff. Amazing building, authentic rooms, with good airconditioning, good shower in spacious bathroom. Self service bar available in the nice garden.

Would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room.

We were hiking the Camino de Santiago and really liked this hotel. It is located in central Astorga and the cathedral is about a 5 min walk away. Staff were all excellent and the bedrooms was amazing (although we did book a Suite and why not for Euros 135 including breakfast!). The bed was incredibly comfortable with top quality bedding & nice pillows. The hotel is an old house which has been lovingly restored & renovated in keeping with it's traditional style. There is also a lovely outdoor area & seating in the garden. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We loved this hotel - the historic rooms, the beautiful garden, the honesty bar and the welcoming staff - quite charming. We struggled to find the car park on our Satnav with the one way system - Cesar got in the car with my husband and directed him to the car parking space. This is a charming little town with several restaurants. Breakfast was fabulous. We would highly recommend.

Top shelf! It is exceeded our expectations in every regard. Amazing, helpful staff. Stunning rooms and common spaces. Exceptionally clean. Outstanding location on the Camino close to the cathedral. Las Termas, a Michelin star restaurant directly across the street. Truly the best lodging we’ve stayed at in Spain. A true pleasure!

It is a wonderful historic family house with more tha 200 years. It has some magical places that just transport you to some other time: gaming room, living room, covered balcony over the beautiful garden... The room was very confortable and the shower products of high quality. It is located right on St. James Way, near the cathedral and the Bishop house by Gaudi.

Just loved everything and would like very much to come back with my family

The location is excellent. 2 minutes to the Palace and the Cathederal. The room was large and apart from the double bed it had a sofa, arm chair and coffee table. The internal courtyard and garden has tables and chairs for relaxing and an al fresco breakfast. The breakfast and service was exceptional.

We had hoped to get parking but this was not available even though we arrived relatively early at about 3.30. There is public parking a few minutes away.

This is a fabulous small hotel, a home for over 300 years which still retains all it’s traditional features. It is like stepping back in time into a previous era. The staff are friendly, there is secure parking and it is perfectly positioned for exploring Astorga, an easily walkable town, to view all the sights of which there are many. If you are looking for a peaceful hotel full of character where guests are treated respectfully don’t hesitate to book Posada Real Casa de Tepa.

Only one very minor criticism: the pillows could have been softer and we would have liked two. But, the hotel was so delightful we were happy to overlook such a small oversight and I’m sure had we asked we would have had the pillows changed. We only stayed a couple of nights, we would have happily stayed longer but we were on our way home.

This property is actually an elegant historic mansion which has remained in the same family for generations since it was originally built in the 1700s. Our suite which overlooked an inner courtyard/garden was huge and comfortable. The public rooms were decorated with remnants of a bygone era, complete with fascinating family portraits and photos. The Casa was perfectly situated within walking distance of all the important sites of interest including the Astorga Cathedral, the Gaudi designed Epicopal Palace and the Museum of Chocolate. For its small size, Astorga is a thriving town on the Camino with a wide range of services and attractions.

We only stayed one night. It should have been longer.
