The location of the hotel is very good. It is close to multiple bus and metro stations that allow efficient travel to most places in Barcelona. In addition, the surrounding have different supermarkets that is very useful for families to pick groceries and also a lot of restaurants/cafes for eating out. The room was very comfortable and large with all the facilities one need. It has a very good large size that has a kitchen and bathroom. In addition, the room was cleaned well.

I felt that the receptionists are overworked and a bit tired most of the time. That makes them look a bit sad most of the time which I was able to contribute to the working conditions. Others may consider that as unwelcoming.

This hotel is good value if it fits your style. It is clean, comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is towards the edge of town, in a non-touristy neighborhood that was fun to explore. Lots of shops: grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants. This is a hilly area, and the hotel is maybe a quarter mile from the metro. It is fine for good walkers, but not great if you have mobility issues. If you want to step out of your hotel and be on Las Ramblas, then this is not the place for you, although downtown Barcelona is easily accessible by metro. We were interested in Park Güell, Sagrada Familia, and other Gaudí buildings, and we were happy to use public transportation and walk a few miles during the day.

The location was very convenient for us, about 35-40 from the airport by taxi.Public Transport wise, you can easily use buses and the metro lines(L7 to Av.Tibidabo and L3 to Lesseps) to go to the city centre or to Barceloneta beach using the bus line V19. The Barcelona tour bus is within 6-10 minutes walk, and the receptionists were so helpful in answering all our questions. Our room was bigger than we expected, we enjoyed the swimming pool, the house keeping was spot on.There is a small fridge, kettle, electric hot plate and utensils, air conditioning worked ok.Overral we got value for what we paid,

Breakfast could be better, facilities are ok and could be excellent with a little renovation.

I loved the area, away from tourist crowds, in a residential and very pleasant location, with plenty of buses and metro options, a short distance to the city center and near park Guell. The hotel staff was very professional and considerate for all my requests. A great size of continental breakfast was delivered to the room in a very timely manner every day. The room was super clean and the shower was perfect and looked like it had been redone recently. The layout was also of a great size, with the room providing all the equipment you need for a perfect stay.

Absolutely nothing, it was a perfect stay

Very handy location near L7 Tibidabo metro, lots of shops, cafés and the CosmoCaixa Science Museum, plus interesting architecture. It is a safe zone and would suit many visitors to Barcelona as a base. Facilities were fine, room had a courtyard and outside table too but sadly it was raining! Concierge available 24/7 polite with good interaction.

Not exactly hotel's fault (as against their policy apparently) but room had a strong smell of smoke on arrival and no easy remedy. We bought air freshener at local supermarket and left doors and patio windows open for ages to mitigate. With extras etc room rates quite steep, however well-equipped, comfortable and no doubt aimed more at those on business than holiday visitors.

This was my second longer stay at the Aparthotel Bertran. All the staff are very nice, helpful and cheerful. The cleanliness of the rooms is great. In addition: - special thanks to the boss for helping with luggage lost by the airline during this stay and for keeping the reservation during my first stay despite problems with the Booking website. - special thanks also go to the lady who brings breakfast on weekdays - thank you very much for your kidness, small talks, tasty and hot coffee and croissants. - and additionally, greetings to the young man of Polish origin from the reception. Thank you for the whole nice stay. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in October.

Everything was ok.

The rooms are quite spacious including the kitchen, sofa area, Tv and the bed room area. Room was air-conditioned and quite comfortable. Housekeeping team was daily cleaning and replaced the new ones. We stayed with a family and the safety was quite satisfactory. The pool was not big however it was good and well maintained. The reception was helpful to give us guidance to travel and responded messages quickly. Having free luggage holding service was a great relief.

Breakfast was simple and sweet. This is kind of common in mediterranean diet but if it could have a little more variety. Nothing to do with the hotel but important to make a note here as Google maps showed a complex road to access due to one way. But you can easily access from the bus-stop if you just follow the map.

Very good location near the Av. Tibidabo metro station (15 minutes travel to Barcelona cite center). It was nice place without any noise from the neighborhood. Rooms are not big but also not small, just as you expect for the room for 2 people. We felt very comfortable there. The location is very near to Tibidabo Amusement Park Funicular station (the cable way). We walked there, because the tram was out of service. Also the Park Güell is in walking distance (about 20 minutes). It is quicker to walk than use metro down to the city (L7) and then back using the different metro line (L3) to go up again.

The door to "balcony" should be better. You can't lock them. They have a lock, but they are built badly and the lock is not locking. You can open the door even if they are locked. The balcony itself was occupied by the external part of the AC unit, so in the hot weather you might except some noise out of it. We did not used AC so I cannot confirm it. On our 3rd floor we had 2 AC units on the balcony, one from our roo and the second from the room on lower level.

The hotel is in a quiet, residential neighborhood with plenty of grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, laundry, and opticians! I had to get my glasses fixed, so I found an optician shop. They fixed my glasses in a jiffy and did not even charge me. It made me feel very relaxed. I also liked the breakfast service every morning. It was a sumptuous breakfast with good coffee, fruit juice, pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc. It was brought to my room every morning!

The location is a bit inconvenient because the two metro stations are at least 10-15 minutes of walk. The terrain is a bit tiring for someone like me who is used to flat terrain. The good thing is that there are two metro stations within walking distance.

Aparthotel Bertran was excellent for me, as a solo, first-time traveler to Spain. First impressions - it is located on a narrow side street (by US standards). But this is a safe narrow street, with a mini mart, a florist, and a pharmacy just steps away. All day long there are local residents walking dogs or strolling by. It's a nice location. Nearby is the University District. Lots of students, academic buildings and the Science Museum. A couple blocks away are the main avenues with many restaurants and stores. This is a boutique hotel - meaning small lobby, small elevator. 1-person desk. But everything is fine. I strongly recommend ordering the morning continental breakfast. It's beautifully presented, nice china, hot coffee or tea. The room is cleaned each day - new towels, bed made. The room is plenty big. You'll be comfortable with the amount of space.

No negatives. I enjoyed my stay.
