It was very nice to have a balcony room. This really made all the difference. The breakfast buffet was quite amazing. I can't remember when I had so many healthy options. This was exceptional. The beds were first rate new mattresses and everything was new and clean. The towels were ample. The staff were super friendly and flexible, helpful and attentive. Almost everything was perfect, and remarkable for a remote location.

I am not sure why but there was a musty smell coming from the bathroom, perhaps related to water or water pipes. There was no visible water damage, I think maybe just old pipes, so perhaps the smell was coming out of the drains. Leaving the balcony doors cracked at night helped. As a solo traveller I could deal with it, but if my wife were along she would not have liked this.

I can only concur with previous positive comments, it is a great place to stay. Food in the restaurant simple but very good and reasonably priced. Early breakfast is possible, as the food is already made ready the evening before. On some days it seems there is no-one there, but the hotel remains open, so make sure to receive the instructions of how to get inside; otherwise, call the number on the door to be let in.

The dinner was only available from 20:00 or so, not ideal if you want to get up really early for birdwatching.

This review is from Howard. My wife Catherine booked it for me. I came to Belchite for birdwatching. Belchite is a charming little village and the hotel is situated next to a pretty church. The room was very clean, quiet and really comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. I stayed for two nights and had two evening meals, both of which were really good and excellent value for money. All the staff were really friendly but I had most of my encounters with Eduardo. Despite my very limited Spanish and his very limited English, he was very patient with me and we managed to communicate effectively. Bravo Eduardo! I would definitely stay here again, it really is excellent.

Room was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't get any dinner as there was a punch up between other guests and the locals which meant the Garda were called. I think in all the excitement we were forgotten, however we did have complimentary drinks!

The atmosphere.

Very clean large room with. Large bathroom. Great location for nearby historical war site and olive oil products.

One of the employees was gunning his engine, outside the hotel which could be heard in our room, at bedtime. Very loud and Un-needed! Otherwise, friendly staff.

A modern, comfortable and clean room in the hotel in the centre of town. Good breakfast.

The staff is hardly available. As the only hotel in the city there is no competition and they seem not to care much for guests. And it's overpriced.

best hotel in town and surrounding area. super modern bed and bathrooms. substantial breakfast - despite official hours it was all laid out and no problem accessing as early as needed. great wifi.

some staff a bit surly but some very helpful - giving door access code to allow early morning departure church bells right outside go off every hour. otherwise extremely quiet.

Spacious and pleasant room. Great breakfast even though there is no staff, but everything is made ready the evening before.

The restaurant during the week-end was very noisy, but this is not the responsability of the hotel manager.

the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was big with the WC being separate. airconditioning was perfect, it was very hot on our visit. the food was nice and tasty, tapas were great. I can recommend the hotel.

the breakfast was in buffet form sadly there was no bread rolls just toast/ corn toast and white bread. no eggs in any form. it was ok.

I think it's the only hotel in Belchite, we stayed there in 2017 and went back to see the ruins of the old town from the civil war. Limited reception and no evening bar or restaurant last time, much improved now, in fact the whole town seemed to have come to life.

Nothing really, it suited us fine.
