Benavente was a good stopping off place on the way to Portugal from Madrid. The rooms were well-equipped, clean and comfortable. We found a very reasonable local bar La Trencha across the road and had a good evening meal there - well-attended by locals - always a good sign!

We seemed to be the only guests on a floor which was being decorated. The furniture on the landing was piled up and under wraps and there were splodges of paint on the walls and masking tape around the doors of our rooms. The workmen were banging about from 8am... The rest of the hotel was of very high quality, and yet I felt we were offered the unfinished product... Our son helped himself to juice from the minibar and we were charged 14 euros on departure. Not 100% happy in view of the far from perfect decor in our room and on our landing / floor. View from window was of a derelict building. I think we could probably have been offered a much nicer room as it was quiet and out of season. Staff interaction was minimal...

Friendly staff, lots of things in a basket on the bathroom, including toothpaste, good blackout system, so the sun won't wake you up in early morning, almost no sounds from the other rooms, minibar well furnished with acceptable prices.

Furniture a little older or, at least, in an antique style, noisy air conditioner, breakfast could have more variety and local products, juices should be bettered.

The attention to detail. The room was quite small but beautifully decorated and lovely toiletries. The location is good and within easy walking distance of the town. There is ample free street parking. Wish we had booked a longer stay here.

Nothing we didn't like.

Nice hotel, comfy room and affordable but good breakfast. I was positively surprised that the room had a bathtub with jets, and that there was a bathrobe to wear after a good soak. Didn't expect that for the reasonable price I paid!

A good hotel in a quiet part of town. Shame when we were there a lot of businesses, including restaurants, were closed for summer holidays. An ample breakfast is available

This was a late booking for an overnight stopover on the way to Porto. We didn't know anything about this small town but obviously other travellers did as there were plenty of them! Lovely hotel with a friendly welcome and easy on-street free parking. Easy walk into the town centre. For us on this occasion it was excellent value for money.

The cleanliness of the room, the easiness for a late-arrival (I was there close to midnight and they facilitated me a code to reach my room). And it is very well located. The toilet room was fully served, like a five stars hotel.

The hotel and staff were really helpful letting us keep our bikes in the basement. Breakfast was good value and you could have as much as you wanted. Location was near enough to the town centre to walk to but far enough out to be quiet.

We loved the big comfortable beds and the piping hot shower. We also really appreciated the staff - The person at the front desk was extremely helpful and made a very quick and smooth check-in - the person at breakfast was also great and very attentive. The location is perfect and the room was very quiet.

The heating system in the room could be a bit quieter, otherwise everything else was perfect!!
