Everything was good about this hotel. Staff was incredibly nice and proud of their hotel. Breakfast was great, cooked to order. Camino path passed right by the front door, nice restaurants close by as was the hot springs for tired feet and legs. Had a skylight in the room that opened and we were able to catch a rainbow picture from the room. Big plus was a boot dryer in the room since we had walked all day in the rain. Nice bathroom and everything was spotless.

Room was a little small but that wasn't an issue for us.

Hands down favorite place to stay during our camino. From the moment we walked in I felt taken care. The attention to detail is lovely. The breakfast was hands down our favorite and we enjoyed sitting downstairs before bed in the bar with a book and drink. I wanted to bottle up this hotel and take it along with us. The beds were super comfortable and the room temp was perfect. This hotel reminded me of all the best parts of being on a cruise ship.

We loved that this charming hotel was right on the Camino! No extra walking and navigating! We received a warm welcome from the smiling staff upon our arrival. Check-in was very easy and quick. We were wonderfully surprised at how spacious our bathroom and bedroom were! It was so nice to have a huge tub to soak in after many days of walking and the very thoughtful Coldl Gel for tired muscles. The giant windows on our 3rd floor room which faced the Camino were easy to open for fresh air and sunshine. The room darkening curtains and comfy big bed made for a good night's sleep.. After we set our things in our room, we hit the lounge chairs by the pool to enjoy a drink. So comfy and quiet we fell asleep for a bit! The staff suggested we experience the hot springs and the botanical garden so we took a nice late afternoon stroll. We also attended evening Mass at St. Thomas, just a few minutes away on foot from the hotel. The hotel bar was still open after we had dinner so we enjoyed a nightcap and in the morning, my husband enjoyed their special breakfast bread and I was lucky to have some gluten free options. Definitely a lovely place for a restful night on the Camino.

This hotel is such a treat mid Camino, Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food is delicious, the avocado toast is amazing! Breakfast was excellent before setting out to walk. Pool is such a treat in the garden it’s a gorgeous afternoon sun trap. Towels are so luxurious. Very comfortable bed, shower and bath are both great.

The Hotel Pousada Real was conveniently located, right along the Camino de Santiago. Irina at the front desk was most personable, resourceful, and willing to help even at peak times. A full-service breakfast was included and delicious. We especially enjoyed the homemade small cakes that were served before the rest of breakfast. Service was always prompt and with a smile. Front desk staff all spoke English as did most of the restaurant wait staff, which we found uncommon in rural Galicia. The bar/restaurant has an inviting courtyard that is scenic and lends itself to camaraderie among Peregrinos..

What made our stay was Reyes (not sure of the spelling) in the morning who proudly served the cakes he made and sent us off on our second last day of our Camino with a rich and memorable experience. The cost seemed expensive but when we experienced the quality of the rooms, the quiet rooms, and the experience we had with Reyes, it was well worth it.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Adriano and Sandra. Their warmth and care truly made a difference. I had just arrived after injuring my feet while walking the Camino de Santiago and they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. This meant a lot to me. Thank you so much!

This is a great boutique hotel right in the old town of Caldas del Reis along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage path, and has its own dedicated free parking about 150 meters away. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, caters to walking pilgrims, and serves a wonderful customized breakfast from 7:00 AM, which is great for early hikers. The room and bed are excellent, it is quiet, and you have the convenience of an elevator. We were given early checkin, which was very welcome. Restaurants nearby, and other services.

I think we could have used a small refrigerator/freezer in the room, which was otherwise very comfortable.

This was a wonderful small hotel, clean and comfortable, right in the middle of the old town on the camino de Santiago. It was a delightful hotel in a delightful town.

We could have had a full breakfast, but all we ever take is coffee, so we did not bother to submit the order the night before as requested. This created a great deal of discussion, and we almost went elsewhere for coffee. In the end, they brought the coffee. Weird.

The staff was exceptional and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated! Super comfortable beds with luxury linens. It was a haven after a long hard day of walking. The breakfast was amazing. I just loved the intimacy of the bar and the cozy vibe at the Pousadas Real! I would love to come back someday!
