Careful where you park your car. Inconsiderate guests can block the garage entrance causing untold un-necessary upset, not just for you but for the staff who had to ask another inconsiderate guest to move their car out of the garage entrance! Perhaps the owners would paint car parking bays on the garage floor and put up signage to respect the other guests when parking so that everyone can leave when they wish..

Our best stay in as long as I can remember. Eirene and Donatello have created something truly amazing with Masia Can Pou. The whole house and garden has an atmosphere that I'm sure can lower a persons blood pressure well beyond what any prescription pill will do. The surroundings (thank you Jazz the dog for the guided tour) are beautiful and gave us just the right appetite for a perfect dinner on local produce. The breakfast was equally superb. Homemade and locally sourced sausages and cheeses, croissants and bread and other bakery fresh out of the kitchen oven.

We loved everything about it, it’s a very special place run by a really lovely couple. Location is perfect for walks, we stayed for 3 nights and did a different walk each day from the door. Building is beautiful, so many different areas to relax inside and outside - we enjoyed doing daily yoga on one of the many terraces. Can recommend the evening meal, we ate each evening and everything was incredible with a good choice available. Breakfast was equally good.

Can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

The owners were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements. They initially said that they wouldn't have any vegan options for dinner but when we arrived they had made changes to the menu especially. Breakfast and dinner were both amazing for vegans and pescetarians.

We happened to arrive the first hot weekend of the year (mid April which was unexpected) and unfortunately the pool wasn't cleaned and ready for use.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in Masia Can Pou. Breakfasts were delicious, dinner by Donatello the best during our trip. The place is unique with panoramic views to valley and mountains. It is a very large farm house (almost like a castle) from 1639, renovated with care and decorated with beautiful antiques with lots of thoughtful details. Our room was spacious with great bed and linen. We walked in the mornings and evenings in the fields and slept well. It is only 25 min from Girona, where we spent a day. A truly relaxing and delightful stay, we can recommend it wholeheartedly!

The food, the ambience, the views from the terrace and the location, the cleanliness of the rooms but most importantly our hosts, Eirene and Donatello who were fabulous hosts. Being serenaded by nightingales and golden Orioles was an added bonus!!

Stunning old house, breathtaking views, warm welcome, great breakfast, lovely room, glasses and water, free tea station, reading room by the fire place.

A mirror in the bedroom would've been nice, there's only the one in the bathroom. It's a little thing but would make the room perfect.

This was a fantastic stay, and we would absolutely come back. The setting and scenery were better than we could have imagined. Rolling hills, a view of Girona in the far distance, hiking nearby, surrounded by greenery and flowers. The family that owns and runs the property were so sweet and accommodating. Our daughter played with their son most days and had the best time running around, chasing each other, even feeding the chickens. The building itself is absolutely stunning, very relaxing. You feel as though you are transported to another place and time (from a city). I can't finish without mentioning the food...wow. The chef is incredible. We actually decided to eat dinner there every night; everything is incredibly fresh, homemade, and tailored to what you would want. Breakfasts are expansive and again, everything is homemade. Care is put into everything. They even cooked special pastas for my daughter. We really loved our stay. Thank you, Irene and Donatello! Regards to Max, Giulia, and Jazz!

Masia Can Pou was amazing. We loved that it was tucked away in the hills in a quiet haven surrounded by nature. The accommodation was beautiful, the design and simplicity. All the food was delicious and we found that the hosts couldn't do enough for us!
