Amazing historical building, amazing location close to the Cañón del Río Lobos and very nice spa facilities. Hotel well equiped with a very good restaurant. Breakfast outstanding! This is the 2nd time we were here and more times will definitely come.

* A recommendation would be to make sure there is food for guests in between lunch and dinner time. You can't order food, there is no food in the minibar and there is also no machine with some snacks. * Personel overall very friendly, but the restaurant looked a little bit understaffed. Sometimes waiting times were on the long side. These are minor points, if resolved it would be a 10 :)

spa and treatments

Hilo Musical. Came on at 8;15 outside our room. This was apparently en error. Then it was on all day and quite loud outside our room making a siesta impossible. On asking for it to be turned off or down I was told it was policy to have it on. That I should bring it up in my review. Here it is. I should add that the music was "versions" of pop music. not the original and not classy music. Generally lowered the tone and was unnecessary. I will go further: an hotel that tells its staff to deny customers a reasonable request, because its policy. is not well managed. I would remove the headsets from the staff in the restaurant as well. This is not a good look and it doesn't look like the staff enjoy having it. Also not a classy look at all.

It was very clean, spaceful, very good beds, silence, peaceful, hospitality. Staff is very helpful. Good support of the celaning staf. Extremely good breakfast. This idea of Yoga als good. A professional sport-massage, top lady was there! Yeah, the Spa is wonderful Nice we could store our bikes at a safe place

There are alway tiny details, but if you want to improve: - more vegetarian menu, raw vegatables, etcetera - if we had a day of 100km cycling, some help with the lugguage would have been fine

The old building (former university) is really spectacular, with a great covered inner patio. Our room was huge (maybe a bit dark) and the service flawless. Wonderful breakfast, and evening restaurant is also absolutely recommended. The "Baudelio" bath is quite a unique experience, a perfect copy of the San Baudelio hermitage .... (the only pity is a weird and complicated system of admission: you have to follow kind of a ritual; I would have preferred some explanation about the bath).

The spa pool is a bit outdated and more sanatorium style than wellness pool

Old university converted into a beautiful hotel. Good location, very close to the wonderful Cañon del Rio Lobos Natural Park. Spacious rooms, relaxing termal water area. Breakfast has everything for everyone. Good quality and tasty. Restaurant offers lunch and dinners, but pricey. A mirror in the room is missing for my liking. An extra cozy blanket in the room would have been perfect.

The hotel building has an impressive centuries-old history. At the same time, most architectural historical elements have been preserved even in the rooms, which inspires respect. The service and cuisine of the restaurant are top-notch. The thermal pool is quite large and comfortable. True, the absence of a sauna was unexpected. This didn't cause much regret, but this fact seems strange for a spa hotel

Amazing staff, food and facilities. Booked it from Australia not knowing what to expect. My room was perfect and I was upgraded. As I was travelling alone, I felt beautifully looked after by the staff. Beautiful town, ancient ruins to climb, safe nurturing place to regenerate and/or romantic place to experience something out of this world together.

It would be great to have an online treatment booking system. I was staying for 4 nights and was lucky to get into what I wanted. Although I didn’t have a problem, I had read this was a problem with other guests.

Breakfast very good, superior room big with good equipment, kettle, tea coffee provided and bottles of water in the room much appreciated.

The superior room was big and had very good equipment but lacked details such as where to hang or leave towels, clothes, wet bathing suits. Restaurant is not cheap and a dish I asked for was not grilled (as the name of the dish required) and soaked in oil. I find the price of the hotel in general a bit on the expensive side, although it does offer different and very good services

Very nice property located a few steps from casco viejo (historic main roads). A place for relaxation and pampering your body.

Air conditioning was not properly working in the middle of summer, but it was bearable.

Perfect hotel. We went to the Rioja wineries during the day and then spent leisure time in the thermal circuit in the hotel's spa. At night we took a stroll at the old town. The location is perfect, an the building is beautiful. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Everything was perfect
