- slow to respond to messages/questions via booking.com (& it would not let me use the WhatsApp link from their website in a different country though this was useful during the stay) - charging guests for spa instead of included in room price; I could understand if it was very fancy experience but it was quite basic/rustic and neither hot tub or sauna were especially hot

It was a great stay. It's a family owned hotel so you get to meet the family that run the place. They are super friendly and helpful. We had the room outside in the garden. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfi. A little hard for my liking but still comfortable. The shower has a rain shower, very nice with warm water. The room has it's own little patio with a space to sit. There's also a lot of space on the premises where you can sit and hang out and enjoy the sun. Also around the pool area. Everything is nice and clean and well taken care of. We had a great experience and stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a little peace and quiet outside of the busy cities and coast. It's about an hour drive to the closest coast, half an hour from Girona.

The rooms had transparent curtains so at night you could see inside the room from outside when the lights are on. If you like your privacy that could be a thing but it's not all too bad because there is a hedge around the room that covers it a little. The road to get to the hotel is a little narrow and it's not very pleasant driving at night. But if you do the drive enough times you get used to it.

Super hotel with lots of charm in the middle of the countryside. Lawns, swimming pool and summer house with honesty bar. Lovely breakfasts and a very good dinner. Charming young lady who spoke perfect English was extremely helpful especially arranging taxis and looking after our needs. Very friendly staff.

We had private bathrooms but they were not ensuite.

Large, comfortable room. Bed was huge and good quality. The surrounds were just tranquil and glorious. Lovely pool and outdoor area for eating. Breakfast and dinner are outstanding.

Sauna, spa area is very average and overpriced. Lunch menu is limited and poor.

Very nice relax room with very well stocked serve-yourself bar. Check-in and out was easy. Information good. Great breakfast. Lovely setting. Room had lots of options to stay cool. Parking easy and close to the hotel rooms.

They need more and better bikes (without flat tyres) and the Kayaks looked a bit 19th century - a pity 'cos you are just next to the Fluvia. It would have been nice if there were more things to do as it is quite isolated there. Instructions for hiking, biking, kayaking routes would have been helpful. It's a lovely area but hard to know where to explore... my 2 attempted hikes ended after 200m.

Very remote place but still just a 30 minutes drive to Girona or to the coast. Perfect place to relax. The restaurant is surprisingly good, too.

Our room was lovely, the food was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond. Fabe was a true delight ... and made our stay even more enjoyable

A hidden gem! The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly and the place is full of charm! We only spent one night on our way to France, but we will definitely return to stay longer.
