We traveled the northern coast of Spain and stayed in many hotels along the way. El Modêrne was by far the nicest and most comfortable hotel. The hotel is aesthetically stunning and in a great location of the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable: with a comfortable bed and a cool temperature, ample space for our luggage and toiletries, sufficient lighting but also completely dark for sleep, and sufficient outlets to charge our electronics. The breakfast was also delicious. We would absolutely stay here again.

There’s nothing to not like.

Of the various hotels we stayed in on this particular trip, El Môderne was our favorite. I concur with some of the reviews I read before staying. A coffee/tea service in the room would have been nice, along with a small fridge. However, the staff and room comfort/design exceeded expectations and that made all the difference. A special mention to Pedro who checked us in and gave us recommendations, along with Veronica who checked us out. As well as Pat and Ruben in the bar. The level of service coupled with their friendliness made for a memorable stay. I highly recommend this property. We'll be back.

One of the best hotels we stayed out in Spain - truly luxurious! Exceptional service from the moment we arrived and our host Daniel helped us with parking, with checking in, and making sure all was set. The space is very high-end with well appointed finishes, lighting, and furniture. The room was very large and spacious, had good lighting controls, black-out curtains, a very large bedroom, and a large clean bathroom. We really liked the two twin beds placed next to each other. Air conditioning was much appreciated. Breakfast was in a beautiful setting and delicious. We were well treated at each step of our stay, and would recommend this hotel to all our friends!

Good location Close to the historic center and attractions such as Santa Catalina Hill and restaurants. Staff OK Large room and beds with mattresses that were neither too hard nor too soft, and a good shower. I read other reviews: 1) They complain about the breakfast The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of cold cheeses, including local products, breads and fresh yogurt. Everything was very clean, even with tongs on the plates to pick up the products. In other words, the breakfast was great. 2) Noise The street below the window is pedestrianized and noisy. But the window offers soundproofing. There was noise from people talking on the street below, and all you had to do was close the window and the noise would disappear.

The only complaint is that there was no refrigerator in the room.

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It was seconds from restaurants and the beach. It is very dark inside and a bit form over function. The gym was so dark and not pleasant to work out in. The room was also dark, and the view was of someone sitting in their apartment next door. It was a pleasant hotel with nice decor, just a bit too dark. Great location

The room was very small. No View! small bottle of water between 2 people. Was very expensive for the facitlities provided.

The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff excellent. The room was clean and comfortable.

the bathroom curtains had to be closed permanently because the shower and toilet faced the window and could be seen from the office block across the road. There was no coffee/tea tray and no fridge although fresh bottled water was provided daily.

The hotel is tastefully decorated and in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was great. Everything was immaculate clean. Our suite was spacious and with a great corner view.

No tea or coffee facilities and no fridge/ minibar, seem strange for a hotel of this calibre. We can't figure out why they don't have it? Also, no smart TV's in 2024 leaves them lagging behind everybody else. We had 2 large size TV's in our suite, but nothing to watch on them.

Centrally located. Very modern hotel. Staff was attentive. Large suite with ample space, parking located within 2 mins walk.

Shower and toilet located at different parts of the suite. Abit strange. Bed was two beds pushed together with a noticeable difference in mattress heights. Needed an umbrella and had to give a refundable €10, kind of strange for a higher property.

The front desk, bar, and breakfast staff were all professional and personable. I expected a good room and experience but had a great experience.

Would have liked the to have capability to specify original English language version with Spanish subtitles. Also, no BBC or CNN channels and room needed better lighting.

Stayed here for 14 days for a music festival in town. Everything about the hotel was very nice. Nice staff, clean room, good cleaning service, great location, nice bar ground level, new room new bathroom, and with AC. I requested two single beds instead of a queen because I’m sharing with a friend. They did fulfill my request. No complain. 10/10.
