We stayed here one night as part of our road trip in Asturias. The hotel breathes an exclusive charm, which is rare to find these days. We stayed at a very spacious room on the 8 floor and had a terrace that enabled us to see the Gijon skyline. Staff is very professional and attentive. The hotel has no own parking, but you can park in front of hotel to enable smooth check in. Afterwards, we parked our car at the parking garage of Plaza Europa (if I remember well). The hotel is situated in a very central location at 15 minutes walk of the harbor and the city centre. Multiple dining spots within 5 minutes walking. The breakfast is amazing and served in a very authentic location - the best pastries and croissants we ever had in a hotel, fresh orange juice.

Everything was good, apart from one thing, as seen below. I was pleasantly surprised, and the location is superb. Furthermore, at night it was very quiet, but I was on the top floor! The air conditioner worked fine, and so did the ceiling fans, which I prefer. Another excellent thing was that the car park I used was just a 2-minute walk away.

The only element that was not à la hauteur of the other aspects was the shower. Everything was spotless, but the water pressure from the shower itself was weak.

Spotlessly clean. Premium double room was a good size, large bedroom and bathroom. Decor was solid and well made - much better than a lot of ultra modern, flimsy decor you find in most hotels these days. Please don't refurbish it! Modern hotel interiors are soulless and all look the same. This place has a touch of old school class. Good bed, nice old character wardrobes. Powerful shower. Location perfect for cafes, resteraunts and bars all within a few minutes walk. WiFi good.

Small point, they could have has a coffee machine in the room.

A bit old-style hotel in a very good location. In fact we stayed for 2 nights and liked it a lot as also we booked at a very good price. Spacious room with TV, small fridge, air con, toilet and shower separated, two sinks, small table and armchair. Public Parking house opposite of the hotel (40% cheaper if you install the apk2 app, register your car number plate and drive in, without reservation and paper ticket).

It was quiet warm in the room as we could not turn off the heating and the air con was a little too weak to regulate the warmth.

Loved our stay in this hotel. The staff were super helpful in ensuring we had a wonderful stay and helping us get around Gijòn. Super clean and our room was lovely- very quiet considering the location. Location was perfect, we often went to Playa San Lorenzo beach & the harbour too-Gijòn is so beautiful. Breakfast here was delicious too.

This is a lovely old school hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the room was warm and despite it being the middle of winter, we could sleep with an open window. The bathroom is bright and well equipped with a bath and a shower as well as a private toilet. I mean, who doesn't want a private toilet? The staff are kind and helpful, speak very good English and even gave us a quick Spanish lesson as we were determined to try and speak Spanish, although most people we spoke to did in fact speak English. The area is fun to walk around in, there are lots of restaurants, cafes and interesting shops and the proximity to the beach and the old town is super. We could walk there in about 7 minutes. If you are coming in by car, there is parking a stone's throw away for €20 a day. We love Gijón and will likely visit again. We would definitely stay at this lovely hotel again.

The breakfast buffet was adequate but personally, there are really great breakfast places around the city. They did have fresh orange juice which is a winner and there were some fresh fruits which we were able to pop in our bag and take with us for the day.

Spacious room and bathroom, nothing too much trouble for pleasant polite staff, the small lift in the entrance by the stairway for luggage/ disabled use, superb location central to everything, mostly great sleep quality on comfortable mattress.

Some noise at weekend from late night residents above and beside.

A classic Spanish hotel that hasn’t lost it’s style. It retains the atmosphere of a bygone era whilst having perfect wifi, excellent air conditioning, digital tv etc. Its kept spotlessly clean. The marble, wood and brass fittings are kept so beautifully Polished, which is quite unusual in this day and age. Friendly, professional and well dressed receptionists add to the quality of the hotel. The breakfast was lovely, with my only negative comment being that the coffee was instant instead of being ground beans which let the breakfast down a little. Underground parking is only a minutes walk away. For sure we will be back.

As I said the coffee might have been better. Unfortunately the screen share has been blocked on a new Samsung tv (so sharing from an iPad etc is impossible) and changing the program spoken language to the original version has also been blocked which isn’t the best for foreigners. Just for when it’s raining outside..

Love this hotel. Have stayed there before and will stay there next time I'm in Gijón. Location is fantastic. Can get around very easily on foot and there is parking a few meters from the hotel.

I wish there would have been a kettle to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee, but I have noticed the many hotels in Spain don't have this option. Now I travel with a small travel kettle which solves the problem nicely. The breakfast was fine, but I would prefer to eat out in a local cafe or restaurant. Other than that, the hotel is great.

A very nice hotel, central, with short distances to restaurants, shops etc. The staff was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Newspapers in the reception area and the breakfast room, paraguas when it rained were a pleasant small things adding to customer satisfaction (at least in my case). Breakfast was very decent and upon request a fried egg was no problem..

The view and the balcony were "nothing to write home about", but at least I got fresh air :-)
