The duplex apartments are really spacious! The downstairs porch terrace with chairs and the upstairs balcony is shared with the neighbouring guests, which wasn’t a problem for us. The pool was almost always empty, heaven! Air con works really well. Lots of tranquil gardens and outdoor spaces.

No kettle or coffee making facilities in the duplex apartment. The bar/restaurant opening times were a bit flimsy. Sometimes they were serving food, but sometimes not - or you need to make a reservation to eat. The reception staff had no idea and referred us to the young man working at the bar for this information.

The decor in the hotel is wonderful. Full marks to whoever designed it! Also, each room has an excellent small fridge with an ice box, and a corkscrew was provided! It was lovely to lie on the sunloungers in the garden area and then take a dip in the pool. La Cabrera isn't a particularly interesting village but it's a only a short walk down the road if you need to stretch your legs or get supplies from the Eroski supermarket.

Our first room overlooked the terraza of the next door restaurant so we had to keep the windows closed to block out the noise. This wouldn't be a problem in winter but on a hot summer night with only a fan to cool things down, it wasn't great. However, on mentioning this problem the next morning, we were moved to a room overlooking the back of the property which was much cooler and quieter.

Lovely property as shown in pictures , nice and warm as cold outside. Had a choice of rooms which was nice. Just off the motorway so an easy stop over while driving through Spain. Restaurant was closed so food options in the area were limited for evening meal. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful served with a smile xx

Comfortable room with kitchen, terrace, lovely garden, swimming pool, really good restaurants at walking distance, very close to the bus stop, great area for hiking. Great swimming pool.

The room is a little dark, the lights could be a bit stronger.

Good location, easy access from the motorway. There was covered parking and the access gate was locked at night. The accommodation was spacious with a sitting area, small food preparation area and bathroom downstairs, the bedroom was upstairs. There was a huge choice for breakfast, quite impressive.

Lighting was a little dim, barely enough light to read by.

The hotel was very quiet when we were there which was great, but this may depend on the season. The breakfast was really great, great food, very relaxed, great service. The staff that worked there were really friendly, was a pleasure chatting to them. Room was spacious and nicely furnished, great facilities. Nice big fireplace which we made use of both nights we were there. Overall, great and we will return soon.

Myself and my partner both prefer a slightly harder bed, but I'm sure we could mention this before our next trip. So, given that everything was so good, it's not a big deal.

Friendly staff, although they don't speak English. The room was huge. Breakfast has a lot of choices. The location is good if you want to stay north of Madrid: 15 min from Buitrago de Lozoya, 1 hour from Segovia (driving)

Noise isolation - we had a room next to the lobby and adjacent to a wooden staircase, so we heard all the conversations, and people climbing or going down. The room was dark. Breakfast has a lot of choices, but you need to ask the staff, which makes it hard to communicate. (suggest making it buffet) The access from the parking lot gets muddy when it's raining. Wifi signal is weak and unstable although the router was very close.

Loved the room and the breakfast. The hosts were all so friendly and helpful. Everything was totally spotless. Sara De Ur was a perfect stop for us after an evening flight into Madrid. An easy 30 minute drive north of the city on our way to San Sebastian.

Hotel Sara de Ur was a perfect place for a short visit to Madrid countryside. Nice (BIG) room, very friendly staff. The small town of La Cabrera has many restaurants and is welcoming, just 40 minutes from the airport. Own car is definitely good to have here, hotel has free safe parking. Breakfast was prepared on order and was ok, not spectacular. We stayed here in October so pool was closed but would propably be very nice in the summer months. We drove around in the area and hiking trails in the NP and around Rascafria are easily accessible.
