Comfortable hotel next to the Castle in Lorca so away from the main town. Fantastic views for miles around. Had a sandwich lunch in the bar which was lovely although there did not seem to be a lot of staff so had to wait quite a while to be served. Interesting building with ongoing improvement works to the outside to preserve the history of the castle and its surroundings.

Swimming pool indoor next to the spa is free to use and I tried to go for a swim but as it is closed in on 3 sides it was like being in a sauna so did not stay as it was too uncomfortable to sit with a book etc, but the weather was exceptionally hot during our stay - out of high season this will be different of course. Ate in the restaurant in the evening on the terrace which has stunning views although we were slightly disappointed with the size of the main courses as no vegetables were included which we had not realised when ordering.

The location was breath taking, the evening meal was absolutely brilliant with stunning views. The pool was extremely good, so very relaxing and plenty of space.the staff at all levels were professional, pleasant and very friendly. Rooms were spacious and very clean (suite 401).bar meals were reasonably priced and good quality, as was the price for the drinks. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Paradise in Spain 😊

Pool opening hours could be longer, especially Mon to Fri and the site is desperately lacking when it comes to nowhere to sun bath,

The setting is outstanding, as was the restaurant, room and facilities. The pool was a welcome experience, though the water was a bit warm for my liking. Still, when temperatures were 38 degrees out, the pool was a godsend. Generally, the staff was very kind and helpful.

The instructions as to how to reach the Lorca Parador. The roadside signs are not immediately obvious and various GPS services sent us through the Old Town, which is not made for modern day vehicles. When we finally called Parador to help out, the older lady at the desk was snippy and bothered. It was obvious we weren't the first to have trouble getting to the site.

The accommodation was classified as a Junior Suite. It was situated on the top corner of the Hotel and gave dual aspect views across Lorca and the surrounding area. Facilities included 3 above average sized rooms. The bathroom included a large shower, WC and large Spa Bath. The Bedroom contained 2 'Four Poster' beds which had been pushed together to form one extra-large bed. Lounge was very spacious, again with a full-length window overlooking Lorca.

Trip up to Hotel/Castle was not for the faint hearted due to the narrow road. Relatively poor signage, prior to joining it!

The most valuable in this hotel is the staff ! They are extremely helpful and friendly! The two members deserve special recognition: Soledad and Emilio. Location excellent! Decor beautiful! Facilities- we only used swimming pool- water too cold as for our preference.

We think breakfast is definitely overpriced 19€ per person. Cleanliness- at first all great, but then my husband realised that despite signage on the wc "clean" when lifting toilet seat it wasn't cleaned properly. Hair band on the bathroom floor as well, so we are sceptic a bit. Spa bath only working side way no bottom working and the manual isn't correct - would be worth to double check it.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Paradores de lorca. The location is absolutely stunning. The staff are incredibly helpful, kind and always smiling. We recieved fantastic service whilst having a wonderful breakfast and dinner. Rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. We can't thank the staff enough for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful hotel.

During our first stay the hotel staff put a complimentary bottle of wine and cakes in our room as it was my birthday on the 12th August. They even presented me with a birthday cake during dinner. It would have been nice to recieve this during our second stay. We missed this extra touch.

We had a lovely 2 days, the castle and synagogue is well worth spending a couple of house. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast and lunch were good however. We did not use the pool or spa so no comment on this. The coffee machine was not working in the room

The Dinner in the restaurant was extremely expensive. We did not mind paying the 90 euros per couple per night had the food matched the price. Unfortunately if you did not like fish or pork there was not much else. Not sure what style it was trying to be but it failed. Because of this we would not return which is a shame as everything else was good.

The bedroom room was large and comfortable. The view from the room was over part of the castle and some of Lorca City. Breakfast we good with reasonable selection, and they were actually able to serve a proper teapot with black tea.

The café bar was only accessible by walking through the dining room. we had expected to find an established bar as its own unit. However, there were only 6 tables and you were kind of tagged onto the dining room. In fact as more people arrived they were placed at spare tables in the dining room. With a bit of thought it would be possible to make small arrangements to the layout and separate it slightly from the diners. The café bar was neither comfortable nor welcoming.

The view was superb. The breakfast excellent. Room size was great as it was a suite. The pool area was lovely. The castle walls and part of the original housing exposed behind glass to the restaurant was very special.

The decor was a little tired in the room which made it a little dark. and particularly the curtains needed a bit of arrention. They were a little long and not hanging on hooks correctly. The pool times were limited.

The views from the hotel were magnificent. The room facilities in the junior suite were good. Restaurant was very good.

The Spa customer service was very poor. Nobody at desk and asked a guest about changing rooms and there wasn't one. Had to get robes from reception. Got back to spa still no one at desk so no towels available. There were a number of guests taking advantage of no one at desk to go into the spa without reservation. consequently it was full of people. Asked the hotel to get me grandstand tickets for the Easter parade and they said they couldn't do it. The swimming pool temperature at 28 degrees was quite cold and not welcoming.
