1-Excellent location. In the heart of the city, in the historical centre. Close to major avenue, but tucked away so nicely with a small courtyard that hid it completely from street view and made the stay completely quiet and comfortable. 2-Sparkling clean. High quality sheets, pillows, mattresses, daily cleaning and changing of the sheets. 3-Beautifully designed rooms. 4-Excellent breakfast and restaurant. So many choices! Freshly squeezed orange juice! Restaurant was beautiful and modern, quiet zen atmosphere, very very pleasant to eat there. 5-Impeccable customer service. From Carolina who did our check in to all the other young men and women, whose names I unfortunately don’t recall, they were immediately responsive to any questions or requests, we were really impressed! We felt like home! All their recommendations for the city and surrounding areas, served us very well! A big thank you! They even packed us breakfast because we left at 4:30 am!

Absolutely nothing. One suggestion would be to notify clients ahead of time that there is no space to stop the car in front of the hotel. It is in the historical area and no cars allowed there. Thankfully we were able to stop the car further down the road, in a bus stop, just to offload our luggage.

The hotel was excellent and the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Design and decor of the hotel and rooms is stylish and modern, and everything was always super clean. We had a lovely stay for 6 nights in the middle of the summer season. The hotel is super well located on the edge of the old town, within walking distance of everything you need. It is also set back from the main street with access from 3 sides down a small alleyway that is beautifully decorated. The communal areas were alway clean and well presented and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We arrived early on the first day, before the normal check-in time and the receptionist did everything possible to get us in our room early. We chose to wait in the end because we didn't want to have twin beds. On the final day, we had a late flight, but we could store our bags in the luggage room and even return in the evening and take a shower before we went to the airport. We're usually crazy about cleanliness, but had absolutely no issues here. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was basically brand new, super clean and had a massive shower. A minor thing, but towels were changed only when requestedby leaving them on the floor, and not if they were left hanging on the hook, which was really appreciated as some hotels don't abide by the sustainabillity goals that they advertise. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel because there are so many cafes and restaurants nearby that we wanted to try. We did also get a free bottle of water each day by signing up to the rewards scheme, which was a nice bonus.

- Cleaning of our bedroom felt more like a tidy up. Even the wine glasses which we had clearly used the night before seemed to just have a rinse, and were sticky inside - We asked about parking before we arrived and were told we'd be given a discount code for a car park the hotel had an arrangement with, to use when leaving the car park. When we did, we found out that had we pre booked the parking, we would have saved over 30% of the cost. Very significant considering the hotel discount amounted to only 5%. If the hotel have an arrangement with the car park, they should consider recommending customers that they pre book.

This brand new hotel is well appointed and meets a 4* hotel expectation. The location is superb and walking distance to everything of note in Malaga. Carolina at the reception was very helpful in pointing out how to plan the day. There are plenty of good eating, coffee and drinking options within 2 min walking. The main shopping street is just a block away. The also rent you towels for the beach for a refundable EUR10 deposit. We did not get breakfast or use the gym. We were 2 adults and 2 children in the room with a double bed and a sofa cum bed which were very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious with a very large bathtub!

With the sofa open it was a little difficult to keep our suitcases etc. and a bit cramped in moving around the room. As we booked through Booking. com, the hotel reservation system did not register 4 people staying in the room so the first night housekeeping did not do up the sofa bed. Although we informed reception, at 11 pm the bed still wasn't done and the night manager hastily helped us, although he could not find proper pillows. So reconfirm with the hotel once you have booked.

The hotel is located in a perfect location, close to all attractions and walking distance to restaurants, beach and nightlife. It has been recently renovated very tastefully. The staff at reception, Paco and Mario, were very helpful and accommodating and gave us a lovely room overlooking the palms and the street. And of course the highlight was the beautiful breakfast, great menu, with excellent presentation, delicious food and the most attentive staff. Our special thanks to Alan, the manager, who was always making sure the guests were comfortable and well taken care of and Ana, who was serving with a lovely smile and so much goodwill. We will definitely return!

Catalonia Puerta del Mar boasts a fantastic location in the historic center of Malaga. Just a short walk from the harbour, seafront promenade and local attractions. Arriving on foot from the nearest train station, we were greeted by a charming entrance that hinted at the cozy, calm atmosphere inside. The staff were friendly, welcoming and provided excellent service. Truly one of the coziest hotels in Malaga.

Great location. Spacious room. Modern and elegant. Amazing air-conditioning. Friendly staff. At breakfast to have a machine to get fresh orange juice was amazing and the chef making the omelettes. I felt like a princess when I stayed here and I was very well taken care of.

It would be nice to have an armchair in the room to relax in. The breakfast manager felt stressed, it would be nice to have someone greeting you and checking you when you are waiting for breakfast. It felt a bit unorganised.

Great area with terrific cafes right outside! Close to main shopping street, the cathedral and to SOHO-area.

The staff should be able to unlock the gates (they locked the gates around the hotel at night for safety which I found amazing, all we had to do was ring a doorbell and it unlocked, but to leave the hotel again, the staff had to walk us out) so they don’t have to leave the reception to simply let you out

Perfect location, beautiful hotel!! Varied and abundant breakfast 😋 Very clean. New!! The bathroom/shower room is a delight. Lovely room! Competitive price!! Every single member of the staff has been great!! When we arrived at the hotel, Carolina and the team were most welcoming delivering excellent customer service.
