This hotel must be on your list if you stay in this beautiful town. It has an exceptional feeling. We were made to feel special. The staff are very nice and helpful. The bar upstairs is lovely for either a drink or something to eat but the downstairs night bar is something else. Such an atmosphere and wonderful cocktails. The hotel is an adventure by itself. We had a corner room overlooking the pool so light and airy. The beds were comfortable. Couldn't have wished for more

This is a Parador on a monumental scale with two exceptionally grand staircases, a Gothic chapel, a substantial gallery round a courtyard and beautifully panelled ceilings (some original, some restored). As Paradors go, the room was smaller than the average one but it was extremely comfortable and had a mini-sala. Reception was top class and very helpful.
Car parking was somewhat tight and also a tad on the expensive side. It was noted (too late) that there was parking also (free?) just outside the Parador. However, I would not judge this Parador on parking alone. The central courtyard is a tad lifeless and empty. No central fountain and no beautiful small lemon trees like the ones at the the Parador de Guadalupe. This area has great potential

Excellent location in the centre of this lovely town, close to the cathedral. The room was large and very comfortable. Both the cloisters and the garden were being refurbished so sadly not looking their best. Good breakfast and we liked the EV charging in the car park.
Access to the underground car park is via a lift, which is a tight fit for a wide car (ours is 1.97 metres wide) and we sustained a scrape on the way out. The spaces were also quite narrow, fortunately the ones for EV charging were wider.

It’s a great place to stay in Plasencia. The building is big draw and the meals - breakfast and dinner - were generous and delicious. It was an elegant room but not elegantly served - more like a home style meal with giant portions and amateur plating. Still, the taste is what matters. A delicious Retinta (breed of cow native to Estramaduro) steak on a bed of wonderful mushrooms was perfect. A rice appetizer had black trumpet mushrooms! Our bottle of rioja reserva 2018 was $30.00. The rooms are enormous and beds were very comfortable. It’s an amazing value in the most central spot. Parking was very convenient, if perhaps difficult for a big vehicle. I was surprised the hotel did not offer valet given the complexity of a narrow parking elevator. In Portugal and in Spain, often bread, olives and plates of ham or cheese can be on the table or offered early, and these are rarely gratis. Unlike in the USA, it is fine to request the dishes be removed. Just be advised. The olive and tomato bread was good so it may be worth the 3.00 per person to travelers.
The rooms were somehow sterile. If you are looking for a beautifully appointed room this isn’t it. The hallway wreaked of smoke but, fortunately it did not permeate the rooms. However noise did. The walls were thin and we could hear our neighbors closet doors, crashes from doors to the hall, and the bath nearby. Glad our neighbor didn’t watch tv! I suspect in the summer the pool and dining/bar areas can be boisterous into the evening, as Spanish keep late hours, so ask for a room elsewhere in high season. The food was great but the service was not of the highest caliber. The dinner service was slow to the point of annoyance. The staff worked hard, (could have used more staff) but to a person, didn’t know how to make guests feel valued.

A beautiful historic building with the original features preserved. Wonderful decorative touches. We enjoyed the spacious room, comfortable beds and standard of cleanliness was very good. We enjoyed a lovely meal in the impressive dining room. The female staff were very welcoming. We succeeded in parking a Citroën C5 aircross SUV but only just. We used the car lift down to the hotel car park but it was tight .
Tea and coffee in the room would be nice. The male waiter was not at all friendly or helpful in the main dining room at dinner.

The bar staff were lovely. Parking facilities were excellent and easy to find and use. Location was excellent. Room was well appointed.
There was a limited amount of coffee and tea in the room for instance there was no breakfast tea - only herbal infusions - and only one coffee bag. There were renovation works during our stay which we were not previously notified about and which detracted from the ambience of this beautiful place.

Accommodation and staff were excellent. Property and furnishings magnificent.
Parking difficult. Directions to access requires help of management and map of town centre. Not adjacent to main entrance. Lift to parking area small. Tight for larger vehicles. Parking spaces tight. If car park full, manoeuvring from space and ‘line up’ for lift access could be most challenging. And unexpected 15€ charge made for usage.

A beautifully restored historic property that has resulted in a place that exudes comfort, warmth and ambience in the common areas and in our room. We had dinner in what was a sensitively styled dining space. The food and service were exceptional. A buffet breakfast with good variety was provided with choices for hot food prepared on an individual basis. A wonderful choice for a luxury experience.
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

It was the most beautiful location with outstanding and wonderful service. I ate in the square so cannot comment on the food but the bar service was very good and the rooms outstanding. I cannot thank the reception staff enough for their exemplary service and the great sadness was not meeting Raquel with whom I had communicated by email and who was an Angel with the care she took to make my reservation and stay world class. Also the perfect stop half way down through Spain on anyone’s travels to the south. Well worth the effort of going off piste and ignore the average surrounds of Plasencia the Parador and all that surrounds it is in the old quarter and is stunning.

The building is spectacular!! Much bigger than on first impression and full of atmosphere. Large room with comfy beds, good comfortable seating, balcony and nice views. Friendly staff. Nice pool. The garage parking was 'interesting' but we got used to it.
The room, especially the bathroom, are dated and could do with some 'refreshment'. Not everyone likes a shower over a bath and the screen leaked, leaving a large puddle on the floor after showers.
