We have stayed at a few Paradors and this is a really nice Parador - we only stayed one night. Our view (enclosed balcony) overlooking the water and the city of Castropol was really good and I would definitely opt for to pay for this view again. Overlooking the cargo ship loading area far below was actually intriguing. Breakfast was very good and worth the value. We had dinner in town since there are a lot of choices. Having hotel parking provided is a plus and right across the street.

We have stayed here before two years ago in a Junior suite Room 100 for two nights (very nice). The location is overlooking the estuary and is stunning. Paradors usually have amazing locations and this one does not disappoint. Hence my rating solely for this.

As usual, apart from the location and the rooms the Paradors' continue to disappoint in terms of customer experience and satisfaction. We as a couple have used Paradors frequently over 18 years and find there is a culture of indifference to their clients. Sadly it was the case in Ribadeo. The room a superior one had a really tired bathroom. 4 star? The restaurant served up Luke warm food despite being advised of this the last time we stayed and ignoring a written complaint from my partner who is an Amigo member. Pity I love the buildings and the rooms! I will continue to use you on this basis but sad you cannot do better. Vilalba in September is next on our list - maybe you could forewarn them?

This is one of our favourite paradors with beautiful views, lovely lounges and a superb dining room. Our bedroom was huge, and opened into a separate sun lounge which looked directly over the river. Food was good, particularly the buffet breakfast. Ample private parking is available and is free.

The different levels and long corridors are not suitcase friendly. It seems a little over priced.

The views from this hotel are stunning. We had a spacious superior room with its own little enclosed verandah where you could sit and watch all the boating action in the estuary. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant, with this same river view, served very good food - breakfast had lots of choice. The receptionist was very helpful. Safe parking just opposite the hotel was a bonus.

The building was beautiful and location nice. Our view from the sun porch was beautiful looking up the waterway. The breakfast buffet was top notch. I was happy they had a place to store our bicycles.

We had dinner in the bar due to rainy weather (didn't want to go out). The burger was way undercooked and the waiter didn't ask for preference ahead of time.

Lack of kettle in room , en-suite catering facilities. Lack of Satellite channels to give European information other than Spanish terrestrial television, which other major hotel chains will offer.

We had a wonderful room overlooking the water. It was beautiful and large and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. It was in a wonderful location for walking into town and down by the water. Lovely experience.

Room- changed to a new room without any fuss from the staff , who were very accommodating. New room had a great view and was quieter. Thank you

Beautiful room with a superb view. Very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious dinner and an excellent buffet breakfast. Had expected to pay extra for secure parking but it was included.
