This rural masia was just idyllic. Located off the beaten track but a short drive from the centre of Sant Pere Pescador. Its about a two min walk to the most incredible long stretching beach of Sant Pere and despite it being high season ( Aug) in the particular part of the beach there was probably only 10 to 15 other people so its heaven. Swimming there was amazing and super safe for children too with a lifeguard on duty from 10 till around 18.00 daily. I was greeted warmly by a really friendly Spanish host who showed me personally to my room. My room ( twin ) was huge with a large window overlooking the sea . The bed had been made into a double which was great with very clean freshly starched bed sheets. Bathroom was small but it was clean with a decent shower and nice clean towels. It had a decent sized flat screen TV There was no a/c but a moveable large fan ( the fan was very quiet so I got a great nights sleeps) and I as the area is so quiet the only thing I heard was later than night the guests underneath returning and letting their dog out so no issues at all. This place would be perfect to rent for a small wedding or special occasion or even for business team building trip. Its got tons of character with sloping roof and older style security window coverings and big open shared public areas with mismatched furnishings it was just lovely. I didnt have breakfast as I had an early meeting but the lovely host advised I was welcome to help myself to free coffee at any time. There was also a vending machine to purchase other drinks. My room also had a small but very decent fridge with a small ice box so you could purchase your own from local supermarket on your drive in ( Bon Preu/ Esclat Carrefour etc) Check out was super easy and I handed my keys over to a lovely Thai gentleman. The garden area is huge and pool great size. Theres also free private parking just in front. Its a dusty narrow dirt road so remember to drive slower.

To improve this masia having a small bar area to enjoy the gardens and pool area would be the icing on the cake to sit outside and watch the sunsets and the spectacular views and peace and quiet this quaint quirky country house has to offer

Mas del Mar was a really special place to stay and we can strongly recommend it to anyone who would like to stay near the fantastic beach on Costa Brava but also avoid the crowds and the damaging over-tourism. The building and decoration is beautiful and relaxed, albeit a little worn. The view from any window is extraordinary. Next time we will set the alarm for six a.m. to make sure we don’t miss the sunrise. The pool area is really nice too. Breakfast is delicious with fresh croissants, a variety of Spanish cheese and charcuterie, little glasses with locally produced yogurt, fresh fruit and good coffee. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Parts of the interior were a bit worn down.

The location was amazing, nice and quiet with an oceanview, yet not far from interesting sights. The furnishing was nice, staff very kind and warm.

The house needs some tlc inside and out. The wear made it seem dirty, which it wasn’t. We had a fridge in the room , that did not work. A shame because we needed it. Before arrival I wrote 3 times with questions that remained unanswered

An excellent stay in beautiful location. What a terrific place. Great staff and service and perfect breakfast every morning. An eclectic feel to the grounds and building, and with a good pool, gave our trip a slightly other worldly feeling and if only we'd known we'd have stayed here for more days. San Pere is a good little town too and plenty of walking, cycling etc. Obvs the beach is right there too. Great place.

Nothing. It was just about perfect

We loved this place so much because it is completely in the nature and very calm. It was perfect for my two little kids. The people who worked there were incredible. They did everything for us. Whenever we needed something they helped us out with everything. Thank you so much.

It is a good location, surrounded by nature, close to everything you need (by car), spacious and clean room, very nice cleaning staff and reception—nothing to complain about. I will be back again. Super pet friendly

The wifi doesn't work perfectly. But in a way, It´s good because you can disconnect more.

The staff and the location where excellent. It was good to have been offered a cup of tea after our walk on the beach. The public spaces were fine, it was nice to have breakfast (which was fine, with excellent coffee) in the conservatory. It is a very interesting, slightly eccentric place.

It would have been nice to have had a (honesty) bar on site. Some attention to detail would make it a better place.

The house is beautiful. The whole place is idyllic. It is in the middle of a lovely natural area, walking distance to the beach, in a very peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are nice, and you have so much space with a patio, common area, pool, and garden. The property is well-maintained, the staff are friendly, and they serve a delicious simple breakfast.

It is quiet and remote and near the beach and it’s good to have somewhere to take our dog. It’s very spacious The staff were excellent, friendly,helpful and always willing to assist us. We have known Emmy for a few years and he is part of the reason we come back.

Air conditioning or fans would have been good as the nights were hot and humid. Also a means of keeping out insects .

You can feel that place has a story, it’s well set-up and comfortable for stay. It’s located in a very quite area, it has a big territory with a garden and benches to seat outside and enjoy the weather. The beach is very close, 10mins walking. The bed is comfortable and it’s very quite, as house is alone for miles, and surrounded by fields. Real rural experience!
