Brilliant location about 500m from the beach. Plenty of wee shops nearby to get bits n bobs in. Great choice at breakfast - takes a day or two to realise all that’s on offer. Air conditioning great. Fresh towels every day. Great buzz at hotel in the evenings with lots of guests having a drink.

Pool area is poor. Not many sunbeds and no sun umbrellas. Would not use it. Restaurant is in the bowels of the building so it’s rackety. Pity it’s not on ground floor so there’s be more of an atmosphere in it.

The hotel is perfectly located and this is the best benefit of it. The room was clean and bed was comfy and everyday cleaning was also a nice thing. Wifi works perfectly as well as the AC. Many options for breakfast and I really liked the fruit buffet during breakfast time. The hotel is a large approximately 280 rooms, you will see different guest types from seniors to students. Every night is something on the entertainment programm, which was mostly visited by senior groups. The staff is really great organised during breakfast time and the coffee was good enough.

The breakfast area is to loud. You have a feeling of a huge student canteen. Im aware that a hotel of this size has an operational challenge to deliver a great service to the huge amount of guest in this short time, but most of the loudness is produced by the staff that sorts right away the cutlery and dishes, next to you while you are trying to drink your first morning coffee. The staff is great organised, but i'm sure there is a way to bring a calmer atmosphere into the restaurant, because quality is not missing. Pillows, as a wannabe 4* hotel, at least 2 standard pillows per person are needed to make the stay really comfy. The Mini Bar is there but empty. Vending Machine at the reception, which is cool but again for a 4* hotel I would love this kind of service.

As someone who will not book a hotel without scouring the reviews before hand, I thought it was only fair to return the favour and give my honest opinion of the hotel. Firstly I would like to say, I don't usually eat meat abroad as it usually not similar to UK meat and I usually just find it gross to be honest. The food at Hotel Don Juan Tossa was a different story, the first hotel I've felt like I could enjoy the meat, they had a variety of it each night including chicken, beef (or veal), pork and sometimes sausages, all of which was cooked amazingly (specifically the beef was amazing, so soft and tasty). Nice big salad bar and also always the option for generic pastas with meat which is comforting when you don't want to try anything new or are feeling fragile from the night before! The chefs did an amazing job of making sure everyone felt catered for by having a variety of mains as well as dessert. I particularly liked the fact that you could pre-order a packed lunch at reception for the following day for day trips out of the hotel. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean, in the lunch and dinner service you feel as if you are in a real restaurant as you get seated by the host and the amazing waiters come around asking for your drinks orders and bring them to you which is a really nice touch. The reception staff are lovely and in particular there was a young lady who always made us feel welcome and greeted us when we saw her. The rooftop pool bar wasn't open for the duration of our holiday so we did have to get our drinks from the main bar downstairs, however there is a lift or escalators to and from this get to the pool. The pool itself was amazing really big with a really deep end 2.2m and then a more shallow end the other side, aswell as a kids pool next to it. The only thing to note is if you have children there is no lifeguard.

Great position, 3 to 4 minutes from beach. Spotlessly clean. Very good breakfast for €12. Rooms were very well decorated with a modern smart bathroom. Would definitely return.

Paper cups instead of glasses in rooms. Not the best way to sip wine on balcony. When i asked could I take two glasses from the restaurant I was refused. Hotel itself decor was very clinical and office like. Restaurant was more like a canteen. Not enough shade around pool, plus the area could do with refurb. The beach is so close though it didn't matter.

we decide to pay a little more for the Superior room, which was the right decision…room just renovated. we had a little problem at the arrival, but Ricardo manage to solve it right away…thanks. Front-desk team very friendly, professional and helpful all the time. Also the sweet lady, I think her name’s Ana, that brings us chocolates in the afternoon. very good location!!! thanks Don Juan team, you make our holidays excellent…almost feeling as home :-)) hope to return soon

Everything was very nice. Quiet place, no noisy neighbours. Clean and modern hotel. The restaurant offers a large variety of food options, suitable for every taste and diet. Suitable for vegetarian and vegan

Soft drinks in the evening are not included, even tap water is not available. You have to pay extra. There are almost no options to travel by bus from hotel to Barcelona Girona airport. There was only 1 direct bus at around 7 or 8 pm. So getting to and from the airport will take you about 3 hours or you can take a taxi for 80 euro each way

Perfect location, five minute walk from the pretty beach of Tossa De Mar and its castle. Close to bars, restaurants and supermarkets with a good choice of food for breakfast. We upgraded to a larger room with a double balcony which was worth it for our family of four. Beds were comfy, bathroom huge with daily bed and towel change. Bottled water in our fridge every day, plus Lindor chocolate on arrival were most welcome! Rooftop pool area was good but did tend to get busy. There’s a bar up there, too, and staff are brilliant when it’s games time in the pool (we did waterpolo and Aqua Zumba). Great tennis courts, too. Staff friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Bar downstairs was great and we appreciated the three pool tables and games room in the evening.

Location is very good. You get to the beach in just seconds. Also during the day this area is more quiet compared to old part of the town.

If you miss and book non-premium room you will be disappointed. Please pay attention which room are you booking. Have a look at the photos of the specific room before reservation

The hotel exceeded my expectations, very central location 5 minutes from beach and shops. Hotel rooms were very clean and lovely decor and cleaned every day by very pleasant helpful staff, we stayed in a superior room for 4 with balcony. Pool area was good too. Breakfast was good value with lots of choice. I would definitely stay there again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Just a typical, busy spanish hotel.

Not a lot not to like had evening meal once lots of choice and was ok. Reception staff were just ok but that wouldnt put me off staying there again.

The Superior suite was very good. It was comfortable, clean and had good facilities (coffee maker, fridge, bottled water). There was a great choice of food for breakfast. Cleaning staff worked really hard, reception were helpful. Entertainment was limited later in the season, though the halloween/Beer fest events were very good. Location is great, near to the beach and a supermarket, and a short walk to the bus station

Although there was plenty of choice for dinner the food tended to be lukewarm rather than hot, and the fish was always overcooked.
