Brilliant location about 500m from the beach. Plenty of wee shops nearby to get bits n bobs in. Great choice at breakfast - takes a day or two to realise all that’s on offer. Air conditioning great. Fresh towels every day. Great buzz at hotel in the evenings with lots of guests having a drink.

Pool area is poor. Not many sunbeds and no sun umbrellas. Would not use it. Restaurant is in the bowels of the building so it’s rackety. Pity it’s not on ground floor so there’s be more of an atmosphere in it.

Room were cleaned every day and the cleaning ladys were very thorough. They do their job perfectly. The hotel location is great - nearby you may find anything you may need.

The "All Inclusive" is not all inclusive. You have included some drinks on it but not anything. Also, you have some hours were you can use of All Inclusive. If you need anything to drink after 23:00 or before 10:30 in the morning, you have to pay because "All Inclusive" is not anytime (as should normally be). At most you can call it Full Board with drinks, and not an "All Inclusive". So, on my suggestion, don't go with that option. Activities at the hotel are near to inexistent. The animation girl is trying to do her job perfectly and she was very helpful and funny, but that's all. Ah...I forgot also the "Bingo" activities once in 3-4 days.

The hotel is perfectly located and this is the best benefit of it. The room was clean and bed was comfy and everyday cleaning was also a nice thing. Wifi works perfectly as well as the AC. Many options for breakfast and I really liked the fruit buffet during breakfast time. The hotel is a large approximately 280 rooms, you will see different guest types from seniors to students. Every night is something on the entertainment programm, which was mostly visited by senior groups. The staff is really great organised during breakfast time and the coffee was good enough.

The breakfast area is to loud. You have a feeling of a huge student canteen. Im aware that a hotel of this size has an operational challenge to deliver a great service to the huge amount of guest in this short time, but most of the loudness is produced by the staff that sorts right away the cutlery and dishes, next to you while you are trying to drink your first morning coffee. The staff is great organised, but i'm sure there is a way to bring a calmer atmosphere into the restaurant, because quality is not missing. Pillows, as a wannabe 4* hotel, at least 2 standard pillows per person are needed to make the stay really comfy. The Mini Bar is there but empty. Vending Machine at the reception, which is cool but again for a 4* hotel I would love this kind of service.

The hotel is in a good location close to the centre of Tossa. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk away and there are lots of lovely restaurants close by and the old town is not far either . The reception, bar area and the front section of the hotel where we stayed has been renovated and is really nice The rooms are a decent size and very clean. We only stayed for breakfast but there’s plenty to choose from and it’s really fresh and well presented . The staff are l very friendly and helpful. And drinks from the bar are reasonably priced , beer and rose wine around 3euros each This is my first time in Tossa de Mar and I’ll definitely return

The pool area and tennis courts are are looking a bit shabby

Room was a bit small and the fact that children entertainment (for a 5 years old) finished at late as 10 pm and even 11.30 pm when there was a magic show for them was a minus..If you're from a country with a normal, early bedtime, then the hotel is not for you. The animators did not engage too much, except for Holly from the children's animation team who was brilliant and our son loved her, her mini disco sessions were the best. Not overly friendly customer interaction.

The place is very nice, big with many facilities. I missed gym/spa, but with opened pool you could do some exercises. 2 mins walking from beach. Breakfast was nice with big variety also for vegetarians. additional option of lunch and dinner also was there. At the arrival we were attended by a Polish lady which was extremely nice. Then I came back to ask a question and there was another lady, who wasn't so nice and opened anymore, I asked one simple question she did reply but there was not even a smile. The staff at the breakfast was also ultra nice despite the fact that they had so much work to do. The hotel seems to be very kid friendly as there is the entire zone for them

Maybe lack of gym/spa

Lovely hotel, exceptionally well staffed,spotlessly clean. We have been there for a few years now, and always return. The food is very good also as are the rooms. The prices for a stay are really reaonable for everything we received. Highly recommended.

One small thing was the choice of tv programmes for English speaking guests was limited to one news channel, while there were multiple choices in Spanish, French, German, Austrian. Maybe a couple more English channels for when the weather is bad.

As someone who will not book a hotel without scouring the reviews before hand, I thought it was only fair to return the favour and give my honest opinion of the hotel. Firstly I would like to say, I don't usually eat meat abroad as it usually not similar to UK meat and I usually just find it gross to be honest. The food at Hotel Don Juan Tossa was a different story, the first hotel I've felt like I could enjoy the meat, they had a variety of it each night including chicken, beef (or veal), pork and sometimes sausages, all of which was cooked amazingly (specifically the beef was amazing, so soft and tasty). Nice big salad bar and also always the option for generic pastas with meat which is comforting when you don't want to try anything new or are feeling fragile from the night before! The chefs did an amazing job of making sure everyone felt catered for by having a variety of mains as well as dessert. I particularly liked the fact that you could pre-order a packed lunch at reception for the following day for day trips out of the hotel. The restaurant itself is very nice and clean, in the lunch and dinner service you feel as if you are in a real restaurant as you get seated by the host and the amazing waiters come around asking for your drinks orders and bring them to you which is a really nice touch. The reception staff are lovely and in particular there was a young lady who always made us feel welcome and greeted us when we saw her. The rooftop pool bar wasn't open for the duration of our holiday so we did have to get our drinks from the main bar downstairs, however there is a lift or escalators to and from this get to the pool. The pool itself was amazing really big with a really deep end 2.2m and then a more shallow end the other side, aswell as a kids pool next to it. The only thing to note is if you have children there is no lifeguard.

Great position, 3 to 4 minutes from beach. Spotlessly clean. Very good breakfast for €12. Rooms were very well decorated with a modern smart bathroom. Would definitely return.

Paper cups instead of glasses in rooms. Not the best way to sip wine on balcony. When i asked could I take two glasses from the restaurant I was refused. Hotel itself decor was very clinical and office like. Restaurant was more like a canteen. Not enough shade around pool, plus the area could do with refurb. The beach is so close though it didn't matter.

Everything was very nice. Quiet place, no noisy neighbours. Clean and modern hotel. The restaurant offers a large variety of food options, suitable for every taste and diet. Suitable for vegetarian and vegan

Soft drinks in the evening are not included, even tap water is not available. You have to pay extra. There are almost no options to travel by bus from hotel to Barcelona Girona airport. There was only 1 direct bus at around 7 or 8 pm. So getting to and from the airport will take you about 3 hours or you can take a taxi for 80 euro each way
