Traditional parador. Bedroom was good size and bathroom had very good accesories.. plenty of mirrors and shaving mirror was excellent in working order. Meals evening and breakfast were OK Shower easy to operate. All staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. Waiter staff worked very hard to maintain quality service but far too busy for them to sustain service levels expected. Swimming pool area well managed and useful supplement.

Breakfast could be chaotic in the restaurant and mostly understaffed. 24 minute wait for a cup of tea was the worst. Actually ran out of tea for 2 of our 4 day stay. Car parking management was lacking and a free for all in such a small space was not good.

A truly magnificent hotel, in a beautifully restored building . It’s only a five minute walk to the main square, and easy to find when driving. The hotel has ample parking, and a lovely pool area. The hotel is elegantly furnished and you immediately feel calm from the moment you enter and walk through the wonderful corridors and cloisters. We had a superior room and it was truly superior; large comfy lounge, huge bedroom and fab big bathroom with spa bath plus separate shower. Breakfast was great, with eggs cooked to order and a good choice. Staff helpful and professional. Was a wonderful place to stay.

Nothing - all great.

Our stay was fine but not exceptional Location was good and building was beautiful

Certain members of staff needed training in courtesy, they were not friendly or accommodating We were given a room overlooking the nearby houses where a dog was constantly barking. This was obviously a ongoing issue This seemed strange considering the hotel was EXTREMELY quiet, why would they not put guest at the other side of the hotel? There were lots of small issues which were not up to the usual standard of a Parador , I would have mentioned these when checking out but unfortunately no interaction from reception staff so decided it wasn’t worth expressing my opinion Completely lacking any atmosphere

Superb, tastefully modernised, mediaeval interiors. Everywhere is superheated - important for February and March in Extremadura. All rooms, including the lower priced ones, are huge with excellent bathrooms. WiFi is great, large tv's with lots of channels at no extra charge. 3 minutes walk to the outstanding restaurants and buildings on the Plaza Mayor. All restaurants serve really varied, modern, award winning, Spanish Gastronomía - the best, and prettiest, food in the world.

Not so much that I disliked it, but it would be good to have some information about buses to Cáceres. There are no car hire companies in Trujillo and it's necessary to pick up a car in Caceres.

Beautiful setting, quiet but a short walk to the centre of Trujillo. Great choice at breakfast. Beds very comfortable, room spotless, beautiful building. Cool in communal areas with air conditioning in room (it was 39°C when we arrived).

Parking in garage or secure area but limited space & cannot book in advance (understandable as there are narrow streets in a historic area). Free parking outside.

Everything. Beautifully restored and renovated with extra luxuries eg swimming pool. Cloisters were lovely. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was big. Great shower, good pressure, no leakage. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and informative. Good parking for a small hill top town. Very quiet apart from people upstairs

Lighting in bar area was a bit bright

The interior was very nice. Big comfortable double bed. Good breakfast.

The hotel was very hard to find, in very narrow streets, twisty. A plan provided by the hotel would have been very helpful. A big disappointment was the fact that dinner was not served until 9.30 pm, far too late for us.. We walked into the town, about a 10 minute walk and there were very reasonable restaurants there. I would prefer to eat in a booked hotel knowing it has a restaurant. A last negative is that they charge for parking, 12 euro a night. I feel this is over the top.

Staff very helpfull. Fast check-in, check-out. Quiet room and with square pillow available... Nice bathroom with everything (with bathtub). Very good breakfast and good restaurant. Location perfect to get to the city center.

The window is very small and high, hence not much natural light in the room. Had to use electricity even during the day...

I have stayed at this Parador before and was looking forward to returning and was not disappointed. It’s a stunning building which has been beautifully restored. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Large beds, stocked mini bar with modern TVs.

Given the good amenities and facilities the hair dryer is very small and weak. Similarly to my last visit it feels understaffed especially in the bar area where service was slow and unhelpful.

For the price one would expect tea/coffee making facilities in the room. And also a complimentary bottle of water. The things in the mini-bar (water, cola, orange drink, beer, and peanuts) were all rather expensively priced. Also a list of prices of these things would be handy, as it was not clear if these things were for free or not. Also a list, or booklet of info about the facilities in the hotel would be appreciated. It can probably all be found on-line, but not very quick or handy.
