I can't understand why there were so many negative comments about this property. The room was huge with a sitting area. Hotel Veliz shares the building with Hotel Avenida which is no problem at all. If you want to experience a local Spanish town this is a good one to try. A wonderful Spanish restaurant next door doing a fabulous menu del dia lunchtimes only. Take a 20 minute walk into the town and bar hop. Loads of places to eat and drink on the way. Bus stop opposite the hotel to go into Torre del Mar or the El Ingenio shopping centre. Great breakfast cafe 200m up called El tomate making their own churros. Parking all the way up the middle of the main road. There is a full size fridge and a hairdryer which weren't featured in the write up. We will certainly stay here again.

Only one negative and that is another electric point was needed on the other side of the room.

The reception was very friendly and checked us and we took the lidt up to the fourth floor. The room was very large and also included a couch and coffee table. The bed was comfortable and the room appeared to be clean.. the location was good a there was a nice restaurant next door.

We figured out the hot water system was not plugged in so luckily switched it on to get some hot water. The reception said there was an issue with the wifi and it was not working for the 2 nights that we stayed. The sheets on the bed appeared clean but there was quite a few long black hairs on the duvet.

The hotel manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the location of the hotel, I will be going back and definitely recommend it!

Maybe have a kettle to make a hot drink in one's room within the price quoted as I have visited hotels within the same price rate and have included this facility.

Good service via whatsapp (questions about room and check-in) + a fast response rate. Easy for a stop of 1 night during the walk of the GR249 (at the outside of velez Malaga with some breakfast options closeby)

Building is currently under renovation. It doesn"t matter but so you are aware :-)

We happened to have a very spacious room. Everything is clean and the bed is comfortable. Very responsive staff.

A kettle was missing in the room. Wireless internet was theoretically available, but in reality it was not possible to use it in the room due to the weak signal.
